Well, this is not my first natural hair blog, but it is the first for disasters.. So lets just get on with it shall we..
I've been taking my locs down by picking them apart.. Well, last night.. After 7 hours of picking and looking at another 7 hours TODAY, I said screw this and just cut off the last 9 locs..
And what I do that for? I jacked UP my head!! I have a high Anglish! (For those who are not country as all f**k, that is when you got long hair in the front.. All around, but in the back it is cut WAAAAAY up too high!!) That sucks.. I think I can live with it. Since I have really tight curls, most of my hair blends together anyway. You can see it, but at most you'll be like. "Damn that's a hot mess.." But probably cause you'll think it's just too tight.. Not cause it's cut off in the back. :p
I do know it will grow back and probably thicker than ever, so I'm not trippin' too much. But DH is having a real hissy fit about it. So insulting. You can read about it here.
But anyway, the initial shock of a hair disaster is the first major hurdle.. The reveal is the next and I've already done that. I went to Walmart last night and DH saw it for the first time. At work my hair is always covered up and it'll be twisted and all that, so it has plenty of time to grow out a little. So there may be ONE MORE big reveal, like someone's kid sees it and be like "Mama that lady's hair so ugly.. It's so nappy.." But then that would happen patch or no patch, so I was prepared for that in advance.. Just like haters..
So now all that's left is the recovery.. Hope it goes well. :)
Tight Curl Down!!!
I'm I guess a natural hair blogger. I have about 9 million blogs. :p I'm natural, 4 type hair. I was locked for 5 yrs 9mos, and now I'm loose. And what's the first thing I do? Cut a dang patch in my head.. A BIG ONE!!
