How I Began
Hello.. I am biracial [half black (dad) & half white (mama)], but my hair comes more from my fathers side even though my mama's hair is curly.Since I can remember I've gotten perms. I always wanted my hair bone straight & hated when I got curls put in my hair. But over time things have changed, & I would say for the better.|
So, I've be growing out my natural hair for about a year (not including the multiple times I said I'd stop the perms but they kept pulling me in) & its been a eye opener to a lot. I've learned so much about hair care.
What made me begin? ... Well, I had washed my hair one day & looked at my new growth... i saw the curls & fell in love. I did a little research and saw how much healthy my hair could be if i went natural. ...Eventually I was able to do it.
When I began, I couldn't get the courage (and still couldn't to this day) do a big chop. I let my hair grow out with my permed hair on the end. I never cut it or anything. My hair still broke off but at this time I wasn't so informed on the best things to do. Anyways, a family member of mine convinced me to cut my permed hair off (my natural hair was over half of my complete hair length) I did & she helped me get started by buying me oils & natural products. I've been doing a lot of research on what's best & so here I am now to create my blog & to help others as well as look to others for advice.
