Woman in the Mirror

Well, I know I promised that I would probably post pics of my first updo, but it didn’t turn out how I wanted it to. By day 2, my hair was already frizzy and puffy. Ugh, well you know what they say…”If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again!” So that is what I will be doing. For now, I have allowed the flat twists to remain. Yesterday, I untwisted the middle portion, and was left with a curly, half Mohawk. It looked okay, but definitely NOT the way I intended for it to look like.

I will be untwisting my entire head, and will wear it as a twistout. If that turns out nice, I will post a pic. Tomorrow is my wash day…

Wash day routine

1) Pree-poo hair with coconut oil, about an hour, covering hair with a shower cap.
2) Cleanse hair with black soap. Do not wash twice.
3) Apply hair mayonnaise on hair (added a few drops of rosemary oil, peppermint oil, and castor oil to the conditioner)
4)Allow to sit for about an hour and a half, with plastic shower cap on.
5) Rinse with cold water.
6) Apply leave in, seal, and style.
