So I thought it would be a good idea to get married at the beach, I also thought it would be a good idea to attempt the straight look for my special day. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE!! I always did the big no-no with curly hair...either brushing it out or combing it right out of the shower...this would lead to tangled messes and dry frizzy results. One day I read an article in a magazine that said you should comb your hair while in the shower. It was like the heavens opened up! I knocked out 75% of my texture/frizz problem by doing this. I was a happy Curly girl, proud of my hair.. when so many people started to talk about the wonders of BKT. And how amazing my hair would look after I get it.. I waited my whole life to have a daughter and in 2008 my prayers were answered with the birth of our daughter Aaliyah Rose. She is one of the most beautiful, little girls I've ever seen and has the diva attitude to boot! The only problem we have is that her hair didn't come with an instruction manual. Ok a little back ground on the pics1st pic - this is a pic of me with my hair brushed/combed out. Why would I do that you ask? Well I thought it would be easier to flat iron if I did (wrong!) lol2nd Pic- ok yes I'm trying to score points by having by cute baby with me (but he does have curly hair ;) 3rd- this is the best I could do on this day (so sad).
