I have found my HG of hair gels. I have super thick, course hair and this gel works wonders on it! I get control and definition without my hair being weighed down. I use this gel in conjuction with the B&A conditioner (another fabulous product). I get great day 2 and 3 hair days by mixing equal amounts of the gel with water and spritzing it all over to revive my curls. I have been getting compliments on my hair since I started using this gel. I highly recommend this product line :)

This sculpting gel is an amazing product. It does not leave your hair hard with the wet look. It creates smooth, soft, and shiny curls that last. I highly recommend this product.

I have 3b curls and my hair is super thick as well. When I put this product in my hair it left it so frizzy it would have been better if I did not put any of it on in the first place. I have the bottle full in my bathroom. Waste of money for me.

Ok, if you're still looking for the system that works best on your curls, try this gel (and the shampoo/conditioner for that matter). I just ordered the whole set from b&A.com & I'm hooked. This gel is almost like water, but it works like no other I've ever used. Soft, defined curls! Love it!

This gel is easy to apply, smells great, and gives you shiny, soft curls. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it for very long b/c I just couldn't handle the protein. If you can handle a lot of protein, then this is a great product with soft hold.

LOVE this gel!! I have finally found my HG product. Great volume, great hold in all seasons and in the humidity. A bottle of this lasts for a very long time since I only need a small amount.

One of my all-time favorites. Delivers excellent shine and helps accentuate my long, 3a/3b curls. Never feels sticky or 'gunky'. I always feel like I use a lot, but the bottle lasts me forever.

I really wanted to like this product. It smells so yummy, just like coconut rum, and it's a good sized bottle. However, it is just too light for my 3B curls. I need something weightier, or I get the dreaded pyramid. If I used more product, I got stringy, crunchy curls. I'll use it up mixed with something like Kiehl's silk groom, but I won't buy it again.

I love this product! I read reviews of many others that liked this in combo with Curl Keeper and/or Jessicurl CCSS, so after some research and reading the reviews, I decided to try this product. I have very thick 3b/3c hair that likes to spiral, so I wondered whether the BA gel had a strong enough hold for me since many 3cs and beyond complained that this product was too light for them. However, on the B&A site, I saw a photos of women with 3c thick hair that looked beautiful, so that gave me the confidence to test this out. The first thing I did was break my hair into 4 sections. Then I went through, and with my fingers raked in the CHS Silk Leave-In, followed by the CK, CCSS, and BA gel. The BA gel is very light, almost watery, but since I knew the CCSS had a light hold, I only used a small amount on each section (about a nickle to quarter-size). So a little goes a long way with this product. Best of all my hair had body, movement, curl definition, no frizz, beautiful ringlet groupings that held through a humid, very windy day! Day 2 looked great as well. I didn't do the brush to detangle, and flip over the head to apply and scrunch process, since I like to detangle with my shower comb and plenty of conditioner. However, the sectioning and rake technique worked out wonderfully. This will definitely be a HG summer product for me!

I have been using Batizia for over a year and a half. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with it. At first it does leave my hair stringy, but it depends on the amount. When my curls are dry I usually flip my head over and my hair looks fantastic. I also spray Jessie curl awe spray and a bit of hair spray to set the curls. The price is also awesome and it lasts about four months.

This product left my hair feeling quite dry and instead of being curl defining it actually worked to make my curls look less defined and they had hardly any movement to them.

I completely agree with the reviews by "lusciouscurls" and "Meezer." This product gave me stringy, crunchy hair. I tried scrunching out the crunch after my hair dried, and just ended up with stringy fluff. I'll stick with Curl Keeper - a similar product but with infinitely superior results.

This makes my hair have really good definition. I have 3a hair and it smells wonderful. I use it with Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo and DevaCare shampoo and my hair looks great.

I was surprised at how liquidy this gel was, but it worked really well. It smells wonderful as well. I used it over a curl enhancing cream. I had great curls that lasted all day and most importantly - no frizz !

Altough this did not have enough hold for my hair, it did give my hair lots of body and softly defined curls. I don't have a frizz problem, so don't know about that. I use one of my hard hold gels on top and together, they work great on my hair.

BEST styler ever! Before this and Curl Keeper, gels were the only thing that came close to controlling my hair...but any gel that killed the frizz and made my hair look good always made my hair feel nasty--stiff and crunchy. Then I found this, and wow! My hair stays defined, nearly frizz-less (and where I live--humidity central--that's a miracle), shiny, and SOFT all day long. Dries a little crunchy at first, but a quick scrunch removes it without ruining the good effects of the product. I LOVE it! Plus it smells like coconuts...yummy! I get sooo many compliments on my hair these days. Try it; it's definitely worth the money!

Great smell, use with Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper and Blended Beauty Kick for Curls to get great definition and hold. However, is only good for low humidity weather. I live in Southern PA and work in MD. I use the above blend during the winter. During the summer this gel just doesn't cut it.

Used this gel in 60+% and 93% humidity, rainy days and it failed both times. It's a fair weather gel. Also, it's so thin, I can't "feel" whether I'm applying too much on one part or too little on another. Throwing at the wall.

I really like this gel...it's so lite and it leaves my hair really soft. When my hair gets longer, I may have to use a stronger gel with it, but we'll see. Right now it's fabulous.

Great definition, not crunchy or producty feeling. For a thin gel, it's holding power is great. Even my roots get curly. My ends get kinda dry by the end of the day, but not enough to bother me. Great over Curl Keeper.

I really love this gel. It's one of my favorites that I have used. It gives nice hold and my hair isn't frizzy when I use it. I will definitely always have a bottle of this in my cabinet and I reach for it frequently. My only concern would be that the protein would dry my hair out over time if used everyday.

This is definitely an HG for me! I'm not much on gels, but this doesn't act like a typical gel because it's thinner and lighter without being sticky and gives fantastic clumping with a natural look and hold. Never want to be without it!

This gel is a miracle. It works well on its own, and even better when layered with another curl enhancing product. Can apply it to wet, damp or dry hair for many different looks. Revitalizes easily with wet hands for 2, 3 and even 4th day hair!! Soft, shiny, clumpy curls every time--and no frizz!

This product creates large, loose curls and is moisturizing. It is lightweight and doesn't feel product-y or crunchy. The effect is beautiful. The only negative thing is that the hold could be stronger. However, I layered it over Sebastian Potion 9 (a leave in conditioner which has a little bit of hold) and the results were great. I think that this product is geared towards hair types 3b and looser.

This is a very watery styling aid that has a powerful coconut scent. I am able to achieve the same results with other liquidy stylers, without the price tag. Also, you have to use A LOT of this gel on order to get any sort of frizz-control/hold. There are better alternatives out there.
