This from my friend Susie, a blonde: This from my friend Susie, who's blonde: I've always been suspect of the "no shampoo" crowd, but after trying the Deva Blonde No Poo, I'm a believer.  Although there is no lather, the No Poo cleans my hair and scalp; even after a sweaty workout.  (Note:  Once a week or on extra grimy days, I'll use some Deva Blonde Low Poo).   The No Poo allows me to maintain my highlights longer and avoid dried-out hair.   In addition to these obvious benefits, I've discovered another bonus to joining the no-shampoo crowd: good skin.  Like many blondes, I have sensitive skin and have invested a lot of money in facial cleansers only to jump in the shower and allow harsh shampoos to drip from my hair down onto my face.  The No Poo is gentle enough that it doesn't irritate my skin.  In fact, I've noticed a definite improvement in my skin since using Deva Blonde No Poo.   It's a product all blondes should try.

The main reason why companies use blue based products for blonds is because blue combats orange or brassy tones--keeps blonds from going too orange--especially for blonds who would like to remain cooler. Also purple based products combat yellow tones in blonds. When I'm blond, I prefer violet based products. After toners start to wear off, blonds need to combat brass--unfortunatly.

I don't get why companies use blue based products for blondes. blue + yellow = green. Green tinted hair is not what I'm looking for.
