Michelle B - Hair Type: 3b It has become one of my favorite gels. It has more hold than Angell, which I need, and actually moisturizes my hair. I use it in my 5-year-old daughter's hair and she wakes up with perfect curls!

Gretchen - Hair Type: 3a Love it! It works much better for me than AnGell. I get good hold and curl formation. No stickiness or crunch.
kira1413 - Hair Type: 3b I love this stuff! The only reason it isn't getting 5 curls is because my hairstylist can get absolutely amazing results for me using this, and I can get nice results, but not as good as she does. I'm still playing with it.
Not drying at all, smell isn't too strong, and I have A LOT less frizz than I used too. Overall it's amazing. Expensive but really works great!

lazy loops - Hair Type: 3a This is a little drying on my hair. And it doesn't have the best hold or curl-forming properties. The scent is good though.

stacikessel - Hair Type: 3b Expensive product and not worth the price! Made my hair stringy and frizzy!

cmm92101 - Hair Type: 3b I have tried for years to find ONE product that would hold my thick, unruly curls together. I used to use a mix of Paul Mitchell Mousse and and Curls Rock pomade, in MASS amounts and I'd end up with crunchy hair. Until now...I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this stuff...a palm full is all it takes, and my hair is tame and shiny all day. Definitely an HG for me from now on!

devagirlbrazil - Hair Type: 3b This Gel is so nice,is more define of angell and more hold. And smell remember tangirine(in brazil tangirina)

TaraVictoria - Hair Type: 3b a great gel - love this in the summer especially!!! works great on thick curls!!!!

jada1111 - Hair Type: This gel is awesome for my 4a curls/coils. Applying it seems like it might dry the hair out, but like a previous reviewer said IT DOESN'T. After it dries you're left with beautiful, shiney, soft frizz free coils. You also don't need that much product to get the job done. Definitely working towards HG status.

candela12ia - Hair Type: 3a This stuff works pretty good, but my hair is picky. After about 3 months of use it wasn't doing much. I'm going to switch to another product and when my hair gets sick of that stuff return to this product.

theempress - Hair Type: ArcAngell is definitely the solution for those who need more hold than Angell. When I use it I find I need to use less product than Angell to get the hold I need. The one thing I like about Angell over ArcAngell is the protective cast it forms around the hair. I feel that feature gives my curls more definition and allows them to dry with the cuticle closed before scrunching it out.

FrizzBgone - Hair Type: 3a I had better luck with this than Angell, but I still can't get consistent results. The only reason that I am continuing to try and work with this product is because so many of the curlies here have spoken so highly of it. I got great curls one day, but havan't since. I only use this on a weekend when it won't bother me if my hair doesn't turn out. I'm hoping that with practice I can figure out how to use this stuff consistently!

shkiesz - Hair Type: 3b Sorry! First review was for the One conditioner not the gel! Can't figure out how to delet it.

shkiesz - Hair Type: 3b Sticky, stiff, unshiny, unhappy curls. Didn't seem to encourage curl formation. Didn't feel good to much my curls- no matter if I diffused, air-dried, or blow-dried. Experimented with amount used. Still gave me bad-looking hair. Try Ouidad.

shkiesz - Hair Type: 3b It's not entirely a waste of money. I've tried worse conditioners. I bought this with the whole Angell line and have used it for over a month as directed. It came highly recommended by the salesperson and has not impressed me. Does it untangle? Well, it's better than nothing. Does it moisturize? Again, I guess it's better than nothing. But my hair has looked better. Has looked a LOT betterm, in fact. And this stuff isn't cheap. I suggest using other products- like Ouidad- over this one. Too expensive and for poor results.

landerso - Hair Type: 3b A good product. Eliminates most frizz and gives you good body. However, limit how much you use because it can make your hair a little dry and crunchy.

Kimshi42 - Hair Type: 4a Didn't really define my curls much/ didn't reduce frizz. I felt like my hair was undone. Great smell though and it isn't heavy. My hair didn't feel producty. This might work better on 3c hair.

nfuentes - Hair Type: 3b I think this is the best gel I've used on my hair. It feels as if it would dry it out, but it doesn't! The best is that it holds my hair together for a good three days, with a list misting. Only negative, frizzes show up in day two.

Clarita - Hair Type: 3c I love this product! It offers more hold than Angell, but still leaves my hair soft and shiny. I love the orange smell, too!

curlybrunette5 - Hair Type: 3a Sooooo disappointed by this stuff! I wanted it to work so bad. My hair looked like it had nothing in it. I just had a head of frizzy, undefined mess. It's definately not meant for thicker hair. It's on the swap board.

mailgirl - Hair Type: 3b I like this and I don't like it. The hold isn't too bad but I think it is drying.

hairkinks - Hair Type: 3a Absolutely love this gel! It makes my hair seem thicker, holds it in place all day and smells wonderful!
It's great with a real good leave in under it but with B'leave in the curls are even more enhanced.
I'm 3a and live in a very humid state (so I need hold even in the winter during rainy days)

Darby - Hair Type: 3a My winter review is HORRIBLE! Dried my hair to straw. I will re-try in the summer and re-evaluate it.

Sunderella - Hair Type: 2b I adore this gel, adds great curl definition and hold for my fine hair without drying it out. The smell is great as well :)

kcurl - Hair Type: 3a I had high hopes for this gel, but I was really disappointed. I didn't get much clumping at all, and my curls were dry, frizzy, and crunchy. I experimented with different amounts and product layering, but had no luck.

kurlee - Hair Type: 3a I don't think I can praise this gel enough. I LOVE it. It is by far the best hair styling product I have ever used. And there has been many...
I have never liked my hair better in my entire life as now.
Maybe the fact that I have found other products (my conditioner at least) that work really well with my hair too is a factor, but still, LOVE this gel. Maybe it is the one...The HG.

deepredringlets - Hair Type: 3a This product made my hair dry and had a "frizzy" kind of hold. Not for me (although, I really wanted it to be perfect!).
CurlRating: 5 Jul 18, 2006
icequeen - Hair Type: 3a The first gel I've ever really liked! Medium to strong hold and no frizz. Used after B'Leave In, I can finally accomplish 2nd day hair. It's also worked well over every other product I've tried. Just wish it had the Angell smell rather than the Devacare orange smell but it quickly disappears. Will defintely repurchase it.

mitabird - Hair Type: 3a Unfortunately, this gel didn't provide enough hold for me. By the end of the day, my hair was frizzy and undefined.
