My hair is baby fine (mostly 3b) and sometimes dry. Products often weigh it down very easily and leave my hair feeling full of product. Also, I have allergies to various things. So, I needed to switch from what I had been using because my scalp was breaking out and itching. Needless to say, when I saw this product's ingredients, reviews, and that it's price, I wanted to give it a try...really try (e.g. following the instructions before becoming frustrated that it didn't work). Let me say that I LOVE this product. Most products claim to retain moisture, but end up drying out my hair more. You can order this product with either no scent, citrus lavender (haven't tried this scent), or island fantasy. I chose island fantasy. I REALLY like it. Also, my hair feels like hair; it's not stiff, it moves a lot, it's quite shiny, and my hair held its curls even through all the crazy Southern California Santa Ana winds. Lastly, I successfully have second-day hair with this product. I realize not everyone will like this product, but I sure do. As long as the ingredients don't change, I am a Jessicurl fan for life.

3A/B fine hair. I use this after Hair Cleansing Cream and Too Shea conditioner. I mix Confident Coils together with Rockin' Ringlets, apply to wet hair, and it gives my curls nice hold for the day. I use 1 part CC to 4 parts RR and have no crunch, just coils.

I love love LOVE confident coils! It enhances and defines my curly waves, and keeps them shiny all day long. . . moisturizing too! A great product all around :)

I have 3a/b curls. For me, Confident Coils is an absolutely outstanding product for definition! My hair is layered, and the shorter layers, especially at the crown, like to clump together into about 4-5 big Nellie Oleson style curls, which is not a good look on me. The Orphan Annie jokes get old quickly. I'm growing my hair out again, but until the hair gets longer, I have to fight with it. Confident Coils makes all my hair separate into "beachy waves" and spirals without giving me a lumpy mullett, and there's no crunch. The hold is excellent, lasting much longer than other products, and this reactivates well with water or refresher spray. I have the Citrus Lavender fragrance and I love it so much I could wear it. It's so fresh and summery smelling. While this does not completely eliminate frizz for a whole day, when used with Rockin Ringlets I can go longer without refresher sprays than with any other products I've tried so far. I use about a dime size amount, so I really get my money's worth with this cream. It seems to moisturize my hair as well, which helps keeps my curls bouncy. Highly, highly recommend!

I see that most of girls who like this have type 3 hair. Maybe it works better on hair that is slightly less kinky but this did nothing for me. It did not define my hair and dried out the front. Thank goodness this came as a sample!

I have a mixture of 3a,b,and c hair that is fine and highly porous. It seems that nothing works for my hair, and if it does, an hour later it flops. I used this product with recoil...first i put it with soaking wet hair and cupped puddles of cold water on my hair to seal it, then blotted my hair with my tshirt, applied recoil and then a bit more of the JC CC. (even applied it to my scalp. I had the best hair ever! My brother came over and asked me why my hair was so freakishly curly. He has never said anything regarding my hair in my 3 years of life. I'd say it's a winning combo. I just ordered Rockin ROnglets...I'm excited to try it. I figured that I can't apply products to soaking wet hair bc they stretch out too much.

Does enhance my curls but my hair but I have two different textures, 3c/b on top and 4 underneath. The four gets nice and elongated and curly, but the top gets hard and dry also kinda frizzy. I combined with rockin curls... just didn't work for me. Even when it dried i try to scrunch put the dryness but it just does'nt come out... sad i wasted the money

3b/3a fine thin hair in Hawaii There is so much humidity here I needed an anti-humectant but my hair doesnt like oils. I parted my hair in six sections used a dime size of this over rockin ringlets (dime size also), recoil (less than dime size), less than half a pump of tigi curl amplifer, and redken spring mousse on each setion of my hair. I got soft beautiful ringlets. I am ordering the big bottle tonight. SO happy!!

I have type 2a-3a hair--very fine and wavy to curly. My hair is exceptionally porous and can absorb a lot of product before getting weighed down. I do a lot of mixing and layering of products, in fact, just to get my hair not to be so flyaway. I found this product did what it said--offered enhanced curl definition; however, I found it worked even better mixed with a Curly hair Solutions product that also aims for curl definition: Curl Keeper.

Didn't do much for me. Sometimes use it to SOTC. Using it with Rockin Ringlets as suggested isn't enough hold for my 2a waves.

I tried this years ago when I first went CG and it was just ok. I was looking for something to mix with my home made flaxseed gel and my beloved Fairy Tales curly q gel but everything I tried just didn't turn out well. I tried Paul Brown Goo, BRHG, CHI hard hold gel, etc. So I decided to give this a whirl and sure enough used in small amount mixed with Fairy Tales gel it did the trick. No frizz, great hold, and good curl definition.

This has been a staple of mine for several years. I order it by the gallon. It gives my fine 3a hair nice defined curls that are clumped which is the look I desire. I squeeze a little less than a quarter size amount to my hair when it is soaking wet as I am squeezing the water out.

Have fery fine, very wavy, very porus hair. Like mixing Confident Coils in equal proportion with CUrly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper. Follow with Jessicurl Rockin Ringlets and I get all day hold.

Love Jess and all her products! I'm local to her home town and found her products by word of mouth. This solution works fantastic for me without that crunchiness that other products have given me. I also am very partial to the lavender scent and how it makes my curls softer feeling!

This product is incredible. I keep trying different products and always come back to the Jessicurl line. My biggest issue with my curls has always been FRIZZ and this with RR underneath pretty much eliminates any frizz I could dream about having in the most humid of weather (I live in FL). Once your hair dry it's like you have nothing in your hair! Curls are bouncy, soft, and SO healthy.

I really like the Jessicurl line of products, particularly the Gelebration spray, but this did nothing for my hair. My hair is 2b, thick and course. CC left my hair extremely dry with no curl definition. I tried to use it several different times, alone, and with other products but it was a no go for me. I'm thinking this product works best for types 3/4 hair.

After reading such incredible reviews for the Jessicurl line I purchased CC along with Rockin' Ringlets. I was really, really, hoping to love these products, but unfortunately just ended up super disappointed. To put it simply, neither product, alone or together, did much for me. I have long, thick, coarse, 2c hair that really needs smoothing and frizz protection. CC had no control, no extra definition, and left me wishing I'd spent my money somewhere else.

Gives great hold, as others have said, a little goes a long way (or you may find your hair to fall a bit flat). I wish the ratio was the same as RR but it's not..RR is very liquidy so I find my RR runs out fast and my CC stays pretty consistent. (I have shoulder length 3b hair, and use two puddles of RR and a quarter size amount, sometimes less, of CC). I haven't tried Island Fantasy but adore the Citrus Lavender scent. A lot of people comment that the CL scent is more citrus than lavender which I agree...but the lavender in the product smells like true lavender oil.. so it won't have the "french lavender" i think a lot of people may have expected. From what I have heard the Island Fantasy is very coconutty/ pineapply (haha do you like my word reference?) I personally enjoy more earthy scents, and if you do you want to try the CL before IF.

I pair this with Rockin Ringlets since I went CG about 4 months ago. I can't say this product has knocked my socks off, but it has been consistent. I plan to try some other products I can find locally, but wouldn't hesitate to pick this back up again. After all, a product keeping me happy consistently is hard to find.

I really love this stuff and everything from Jessicurl. This is great potent stuff, and I always get a great soft hold with it. With curls, consistency is awesome! If you get a producty feel, USE LESS! You really don't need much of this stuff to work magic, and I love it with their Rockin' Ringlets. I will never stray from Jessicurl products.

I have 3c/b curls... I use AG recoil (love it), but it makes my hair super crunchy if I don't have my Confident Coils. I alternated so many of my hair products, but you can bet I use CCs EVERYDAY. I apply products to soaking wet hair and then squeeze excess water out before I apply CCs. CCs keeps my hair from being super crunchy and it is perfect for plunking.

Love this. Makes my wurlies defined yet soft. I love the fact that it comes with a fragrance-free option--and truly is fragrance free! Doesn't compete with my perfume. One of the best products I've used, though I'm waiting to see if it is a HG product for me.

This worked ok for me. I got more clumping and more well defined curls when I layered CHS CK under Jessicurl CC. When I used RR with CC it left my curls defined but very stringy. Glad I got the sample, I will not repurchase.

I use this with Rockin' Ringlets underneath and get great results! For more surface frizz control, though, I need a strong gel over both. And then I get clumpy, soft, curlier curls. You've done it again, Jessicurl! :)

I have 2b/c hair and I have finally found a product that works! The CC used with the Rockin' Ringlets is a great combination. The Island Fantasy scent is the best! I would recommend this product to everyone.

Wonderful curl definition and hold that lasted until the next shampoo. If your hair is slightly dry, you will need to apply a leave-in conditioner first, and a small amount of Confident Coils. Am pleased that the description matches the results. I give it 4 curls because there was a tiny bit of barely noticeable flaking, but that could be due to the interaction with the leave-in.

I'm really dissapointed with Jessicurl CC. It is fantastic in terms of being soft and crunchless. It looks and feels as if I have virtually nothing in my hair. However, I get little to no hold, intense frizz, and what little hold I do get only lasts about an hour after my hair dries. I use it with RR as directed by their video, but to no avail.

This works wonderfully with the RR. The only problem I have is that the two of them can dry out my already-dry hair. Still, the visible results are great.

Gives such great, soft curls, especially over RR! Any crunch that occurs can easily be scrunched out. I use 2 dollops of this over 2 of RR, and then define any especially frizzy front areas with I.C.O.N.'s pomade (which I can't find here, sadly), and I am set to go all day!

I really like this product. I use it over Jessicurl's Rockin Ringlets for great definition and medium hold (which is fine for me, I don't like hard hair.) Second-day hair is good, so's third. I recommend this highly.

For me, this product brings out the full potential of RR, which I use underneath CCSS. I call them my 'dynamic duo' and rarely use one without the other. I get soft, well-defined, all-day curls.

I love this product! I read reviews of many others that liked this in combo with Curl Keeper and/or Batia & Aleeza Gel, so after some research and reading the reviews, I decided to try this product. I have very thick 3b/3c hair that likes to spiral, I debated whether to get the Rocking Ringlets product. However, I read some advice on the Jessicurl site, where Jessica recommended using CCSS alone if you had thick hair that spiraled on its own. I used this a little differently from the JC videos, since I was layering this with CK and BA gel. The first thing I did was break my hair into 4 sections. Then I went through, and with my fingers raked in the CHS Silk Leave-In, followed by the CK, CCSS, and BA gel. I could clearly see CCSS clumping my ringlets into groups as I applied it! Best of all my hair had body, movement, curl definition, no frizz, beautiful ringlet groupings. Day 2 looked great as well. So although I didn't do the flip over the head and puddle and scrunch application process, the sectioning and rake technique worked out wonderfully. This will definitely be a HG summer product for me!

Ok. I just tried this product last night. I have to say, I absolutely LOVE IT!! I used it in conjunction with the Rockin'Ringlets, and I am blown away. My curls are not frizzy. They are defined AND They are SOFT!!! Most products will make my curls very stiff. My curls are so soft, I can't believe that this is actually keeping my curls in place! Sorry so long, but I had to say it.

I used this with Rockin Ringlets. The Rockin Ringlets is very moisturizing but my hair was really dry when I used this with it. Maybe I need to experiment with it more.

I like this for my 2b curls. It really brings out and defines my curls. The trick is to not use too much and use on wet hair in the shower.

When this works, my hair looks awesome. I get a little frizz, but it's very minor and far less than any other product I've tried. Only problem I have is that it doesn't always work. Sometimes I can get awesome hair and other times I just end up with a stringy mess, need to keep experimenting.

This worked okay. It did define my curls, but for some reason they felt dry. It was strange. I think one of the ingredients dried my hair out. It would have been great if not for the drying issue.

I use this with Rockin Ringlets, and I get amazing curls (with hold!). I love the Island Fantasy scent. I'm having trouble with frizz in high humidity with this combo, though, so I need to keep tweaking it. Maybe with a better leave-in I'll get HG results.

This is a wonderful product for my 3a/3b hair. I use this product after Rocking Ringlets and before adding some gel on the hair framing my face (those hairs need extra hold). This leaves my curls soft, clumpy, and shiny. This product is silicone free, which is great for my CG routine. The Citrus Lavender scent is heavenly! I believe she may use the essential oils to achieve that lovely scent. All-around a great product.

I had a hard time with this product. I bought a travel kit to try everything. Everytime I tried CC I ended up washing it out. It felt producty in my hair. I like Mop Top Anti-frizz better.

Hair Type 3a. CCSS gives me great clumpage and curl definition. However, it flakes pretty badly, and the flakes fall into my eyelashes. I am continuously rubbing them off. I used only a nickel sized amount as recommended in the accompaying pamphlet in the styling products trial pack. It does not offer a secure strong hold as advertized in the bottle. It needs to be reformulated.

I love the turn out I got with this styler! Being that my hair will not adhere to one product alone, CCSS gave me great clumping, softness, minimal pouf, and piecey curls, while working together with CK for frizz reduction and Moptop's anti frizz gel for light hold. I like that all of these products are silicone free as well!

Excellent product.Never builds up or weighs down my fine hair. I use it by itself, over Gelebration or under another gel. Pretty much depends on my mood. I can get away with a dime-sized amount in my long hair, so a bottle lasts me a long time.

This stuff did nothing for my hair. It actually makes my curls frizzier. I followed the instructions and all I ended up with was a frizzy mess. Not for me.

I'm a long-time user of Paul Mitchell super clean styling gel, so I was very reluctant to go without my precious silicones. When I first looked at CC, I thought oh great, it just feels like a conditioner. I was very happy with the hold it gave me, NO frizz, bouncy, soft, curls with no crunch! It works good on it's own, better with Rockin' Ringlets. No more silicones for me (that is, when I use up what I've got left; hey, I'm cheap!).

I really like this product :) I combine it with Rockin' Ringlets and the results are great. I like the fact that it has quite a strong hold which I need with my hair. It is difficult to buy this product in the United Kingdom :(

Holy Cow. This stuff is so great, I cannot even begin to gush...but I will. I used this after applying RR as recommended. Super ringlets, great clumping of tendrils, almost zero frizz. I applied to almost sopping hair then plopped for about 5 min. Then let air dry completely without touching. When dry it was slightly stiff, so I flipped my head over and shook and VOILA! Soft curls with great definition. DH said he has never seen my hair curl like that and loved the softness and scent. Highly recommend for soft hold and definition on slightly coarse 3B.

I use this after the Rockin' Ringlets and it keeps my curls in such beautiful defined shape. Great hold for my fine 2b/3a hair.

This stuff is great, but you need to use this with either Rocking Ringlets or Gelebration. It holds and moisturizes.

(4a) Used only a quarter of the sample size and got xcellent smoothing and elongation and okay frizz reduction --I did have to use a gel on some parts. What stands out most is that I have minimal shrinkage and on my shrink-prone 4a hair, that's saying something!

I get great curl definition and hold when I use it with the rockin ringlets.

This is actually very good at forming definition. It made my curls look really nice, I didn't think it was because it feels more like a cream than gel but it worked great.

Had a little better luck with this product than Rocking Ringlets. Still lots of frizz. Not my type of styling product I guess. Couldn't make it work.

This product did absolutely nothing for my hair. It was literally like I had no styling product in it. I tried all different amounts and combinations with the other Jessicurl styling products, but still nothing. Love the Jessicurl shampoo and conditioners, but none of the styling products from Jessicurl do anything for me.

Love, love, love this stuff! It smells fantabulous and leaves my hair in ringlets. It works better if you use conditioner before. (I usually condition every other day because my hair is VERY easily weighed down) Leaves hair silky smooth, virtually no frizz, and beautiful curls!

My favorite product ever! I absolutely adore this stuff, and it makes my hair look incredible.

A great 'quick fix': not the ultimate solution, but if you're in a hurry or just can't be bothered iwth lots of products, dollop some on with Rockin Ringlets and you'll get good results

CCSS gave me great definition, but it does not have enough hold and it also made my hair frizzy by the end of the day. If used with another product for hold, then it might yield better results. It did seem moisturizing.

I love this product, which I combine with Gelebration. I need to use a heavy gel over it for hold, though. CCSS just can't deal with the unpredictable weather here. I would totally bribe Jess to come up with something that had more hold!

It is a fair product. Love the scent (IF or CL). Does not build up. Can rake it through or scrunch it in very easily. Not enough hold for me though.

I used this with Rocking Ringlets and loved it. Although I think I'll probably use more tomorrow as I would like more clumping. I'm pretty open to trying it in different ways until its perfect. Jess is great she gives you all the help you could ever need.

I apply it after Rockin Ringlets and have fantastic hair. It holds without stickiness and lasts through a windy day. You just need a small amount. A great product.

Wow! I used this with Rockin' Ringlets and my hair was totally transformed! Honestly my hair has never looked better, which is saying alot! I used the RR, then airdried for awhile, then put on the CC and diffused. This is awesome!

I really like this stuff. It makes my hair soft and shiny, great clumping. The only problem is my halo. I still get frizz there by the end of the day. I may need something stronger on that part mixed with the CCSS. I LOVE the way my hair feels after I apply it, and with the rockin ringlets I get awesome shiny and spiraly curls, but as I said, not enough hold to prevent frizz for my thick 3a/b hair. I was hoping it would help more to prevent frizz on my halo.

I really, really wanted to like this product; but alas, I guess it just isn't for me. No matter how much I use, I find the hold to be very light, ultra light (even lighter than RR). I live in South FL and we are still in the depths of summer humidity and this product (combined with RR or alone) did not hold up. My hair was undefined and frizzy... and my hair is rarely ever frizzy. I did have good luck when I paired the CCSS with a very firm gel (namely Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee), but it just doesn't work consistently enough for me. Maybe this would work well for those in cooler climates? As usual though, I love that Jess makes her products available it 2 scented choices and an unscented choice.

This stuff rocks! I use a quarter sized-dollop, scrunch through, and diffuse dry. Great curl formation, clumping, and volume without frizz. And no greasiness or stringiness! Holds up in high humidity too. Probably the best product for my curls ever!

I love this product. Humidity doesn't stand a chance. I have consistantly good hair days with this -- Nice, soft curls... mimimal frizz.

I really wanted to like this, but it just didn't work for me. Curl definition and clumping are great, but it makes my hair frizzy. I had a similar response with RR. There must be something in them both that my hair doesn't like.

Full-day moisture, curl definition and frizz reduction in even the most humid of climates. What else do you really need?
