This alcohol-free formula has silk protein to add shine and texture to hair and natural sclerotium and arabic gums to add volume. It’s never dry or hard because it has none of the synthetic plastic ingredients found in most commercial brands. Certified organic aloe vera gel helps provide a soft hold. Safe for color-treated hair.

3b/c--This worked really, really well, over a Curl Junkie leave-in, and mixed with some Curl Keeper. Slept on a silky pillowcase. 2nd day hair only needed a spritz of water and a little Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercream and out the door I went. Beautiful soft, ringlet and coil curls with lovely staying power and NO fizz or pouf!!

Gives enough hold for me and lots of body/spring. Very little crunch and nice clumping. This is the only gel I have used so far to refresh damp second day hair. It's soft enough not to turn my hair into hard wires. I've also used it on clean wet hair, both times (damp and wet) over a creamy leave-in. I love this gel.

Got decent curl formation but hair grew larger as the day progressed, and curls fell out.
