Love this stuff!!! Don't no why I wasted my time being a PJ. I used this for years prior to coming to the Naturally Curly website and had great results but I just had to try all those "Natural" products. No product moisturizes and gives me bounce like this...I use it as a daily moisturizer on dry hair...my hair type is 3C and 4A mix. No matter what styler I'm using, this just makes my hair better (shiney, full & soft)....guess my hair just likes mineral oil, petrolatum, lanolin, glycerin and all the other oils and butters in this....oh also, my hair loves keratin and this product contains that too!!! I'm so glad that I took advantage of the BOGO and got two 8oz jars....definately a holy grail product for me.

I know I really shouldn't be loving this as much as I do because of all the crappy ingredients it has in it, and most importantly because of the price. And yes Titi and Miko are insane for pricing this as high as they do but I have to say it is worth every penny. For me, this is the only hair moisturizer I have used to date that thoroughly hydrates my hair because I find that a leave in is not enough for me. I've tried many products and many brands but always reluctantly come back to this because it really does work for me. I find that the trick is to only use a fingertip dollup on each section before you apply your styler of either gel or mousse and you're good to go. I say give it a try if you have super thick hair (especially in the crown area) like I do. You will hate yourself for spending the money on it but you will be loving how soft and shiny your hair looks.

Ewwww. I was talked into buying this product by the two sisters (the Miss Jessie owners) at their salon. They said it would be the "perfect next-day curl enhancer". I don't know WHAT this is supposed to enhance the next day, but it's a gooey, sticky, smelly mess. Like, literally a MESS. It's basically vasoline mixed with perfume and some other cremes and goops (most of which are not natural or good for you). If you put this on top of curls, it totally ruins the curl pattern and either pulls it straight, weighs it down, or makes it puffy. $32 mess-in-a-jar.

(Type 4a) For 32 bucks these women should be ashamed of themselves. Baby Buttercream just sits ontop of the hair and leaves it feeling gunky and heavy. The reason I gave this product two stars was for the amazing smell and the really cute packaging. Otherwise you might as well by a bottle of vaseline for a fraction of the price.

I though that this product was okay. My hair wasn't super soft but it works better than any drug store creme; it just wasn't the best. In order to get full moisturizing benefits i had to use this product in conjunction with my other cremes and oils. This product does go a very long way!

I love the scent! This product leaves my DRY hair soft and manageable. When I used it on wet hair it was a different story. I mainly use it on two or three day hair, I think it works best on dry hair though. I think it's much too pricey so if you can find something cheaper that works better or just as good go for it.

***a $32 JAR OF VASELINE*** this mess is a mess!!!! i put it in my hair dry (like so you tubers suggested) and platted it in about 12 big sections and took it down the next morning. my hair was straight and sticking out. this stuff weighed it down and it felt GREASY!!!! the smell stuck around all day and night as well. so that night i double strand twisted it and it looked "ok" the following day. still feeling greasy tho. i got this product at a meetup as a product swap but i'm still upset because i had high hopes for the baby butter cream. hated the curly pudding too but that is a separate review!!!

Hey ladies! this June I'll be natural for a year! woo! Anywhoo, I've used this product for a while now (at least a couple months) and i'm only at half the container :) I have a pretty thick type of hair and I really like this product! It makes my hair quite soft, bouncy, and shiny! Only reason I gave it 4 stars/curls is I wish the consistency was a bit thicker...? I don't know if that makes sense, but it's just that my hair is already cotton-y and I don't really need it to get any lighter, Lol. Yea that's it, it makes my hair soft but not moisturized. but anywhoo GREAT product and DEF. a staple styler!!

I was not impressed with this product. My hair is thirsty, and it did nothing for it. I'm looking for a product that will nourish and moisturize my hair for growth. The moisture only lasted about an hour. I returned it to Target and will not purchase it again. Good Luck!

I ordered this product thinking it would be great for my hair type due to the hype but boy was I wrong! This product did nothing but give my hair shine . It left my hair greasy and nasty looking , It felt las if I needed to wash my hair all over again . It's not worth the price tag . The only good thing was the smell which I got compliments for so 2 curls for that.

I loved this product! I have type 4a/4b hair which can be hard to detangle while styling at times; however, I was able to use this product after washing my hair as a detangler as well as a styling product for my two-strand twists. I also used the product on dry hair to moisturize it before retwisting it, and I was able to comb through my hair easily with the product.

I have a love hate relationship with this product (and Miss Jessie's as a company). I HATE that "kinks to curls" motto they use...it just irks me. I feel like they are trying to "sell" the dream of good hair..and the false promoise that using thier expensive products will give you that. That being said, I've used this product and while the price point is outragious, the product is ok. When its really cold here (I'm talking below zero wind chills) then I use this. All the mineral oil, bees wax and linolin coat my hair and protect it from the harsh weather. The draw back is that you MUST wash this stuff out with a sulfate shampoo. It builds up rather quickly and while it's marketed as a "moisturizer" the moisturizing effects are only temperary. Just one glance at the ingredients will show that most are things that will sit on your hair and clog it up over time. So, if you goal is to sort of "seal" up your hair from the harsh winter elements, then this is a good product. But if you are just in the market for a good moisturizer, skip this. There are much better (and cheaper) products out there.

I bought this product last year after a horrible haircut and then another to fix the horrible haircut. By far, its the worst product I have used on my hair. My hair is thick sometimes and needs moisture like crazy. Unfortunately this product didn't do that for me. It dried out my hair no matter how much I put on it and proceeded to break my hair also. I understand it doesn't work for everyone, but I think MJ needs a serious overall of thinking when it comes to product ingredients and pricing. Then they truly would be the best damn whatever they say.

Ok, I'm puerto rican and dominican so I have really curly hair. Its tough chosing a product cuz the "white girl" ones are too are not enough controlling and products for people with kinkyer hair is way too heavy. So I figured I'd try this one cuz its supposed to be less heavy and Miss Jessie's seems to be pretty popluar. Anyway, it sucked. I think the mineral oil fried my hair. My hair looked like a big frizz ball. The only reason I give it a 2 is because it smells good.

After not liking the Curly Pudding all that much (it's nice, just left some residue), I tried this cream and I have been happy with it. I really like it. It provides moisture, smells nice and my hair is shiny and feels healthy. I applied it liberally and used on my two-strand twists. I didn't have to put another other product on my hair for days. Not because it was extra greasy or anything, just because my hair felt moisturized. I like it a lot.

I really enjoyed the scent of this product... the proble is my ends were not happy with this product. I bought the small sample size for $12CDN and I'm glad I didn't spend any more than that. My ends were not happy the day after my 2 strand twists + BBCream. It may be the Mineral Oil... I added a bit of extra virgin olive oil on my second use and experienced less breakage but wouldn't recooment to 4a/4b fine hair.

I am passing this on to someone else. I was disappointed in the lack of quality ingredients for the price, and I was so hoping the product would live up to the hype in spite of the price. I have tried on damp and dry hair, always to result in frizz. Hve used in conjunction with curly pudding and on 2nd day hair. It is unworkable if I want to wear my hair loose. I gave it to my niece who is young and still wears braids because it gives a decent amount of moisture but absolutely NO definition.

This was my first Miss Jessie's product and I was really excited to try it, even though I've read a lot of mixed reviews on their products. "Thankfully" I was able to purchase a 2oz sample size (retail price: $9...for a 2oz sample! I should have known better) I want my money back. I didn't like anything about this product. In my reviews I try to give the pros and cons but I couldn't think of any pros here. First it smells awful - an overwhelming, cloying scent that seems to be an odd mixture of Pepto-Bismol and Johnson's baby lotion (no kidding). It left my hair feeling heavily coated and greasy. I tried it on both damp and dry hair and it didn't seem to moisturize either way. And its no wonder, just look at the ingredients. Bees Wax? Mineral oil and petrolatum? I'd think the people at Miss Jessie's would know better. These ingredients, and a few others in here, coat the hair and don't allow moisture in, they leave built-up on hair and scalp and they attract dirt and dust. Besides, mineral oil and petrolatum are cheap industrial products that should not be in a product that costs this much. And who can get past that price!

I was rushing to my local retailer to get the bbc because this was the product of miss jessies I didn't have and they were down to there last two. But anyway I was to late so when I brought the rapid recovery I recieved the sample pack free. So when I tried the bbc I wasn't quite sure now since my last review of the curly buttercreme I wasn't sure of how to use that one but now I have found out how to use the cbc I have actually fell in love with the curlybuttercreme it makes your hair soft & manageable. So now that I have the baby buttercreme it dosen't smell all that sweet and edible like it says it does. I think that the cbc works better than the bbc. cbc it has a minty smell but it late turn into a cocobutter smell. Overall I still think the baby buttercreme is okay I gave it a 4 for softness I stil think that this stuff is way to over priced like $58 just get the 8oz It last just as long or get a couple of 2oz but they do provide softness that does last a couple of days and a soft hairline if you know how much to use of this product. I would recommens if your hair is thr type that needs to be hydrated alot for dryness and brittle hair.

I don't agree with the one curl comments on this product. This product supplies so much moisture, that you don't need to use so much. And for me I think that is great. This product is true to the advertisement. It does lengthen your curls and moisturizes. I am also very sensitive with my nose, that is why I use this product only in the daytime. So I don't sleep with the scent in my nose. This is a product I will stick with.

This was not a friend of my 2b/3a waves/curls. It added shine, but it felt heavy and gunky-feeling, even when I only used a teensy, itty-bitty bit. It didn't help with frizz or clumping or curls (actually pulled them out some). It was also very hard to remove from my hands after applying and later my hair.
