This is my absolute favorite styler. I use this product each time I do my twists. When I try other products to do my twist, I'm not as pleased as I am with Curly Meringue. It has a very nice scent to it, and it has lots of hold, so my twists never come undone. I also get a lot of shine. This is a keeper for me. I have three jars of this- I never want to run out of it. It also defines curls really well. I don't have a curl pattern, but when I apply this product then brush it through I have lots of popping curls.

I did a two strand twist and the next morning it left my hair incredibly dry, like hay. I also tried it as a wash&go. When it was wet it was gorgeous, great curl definition. Then when it dried it was hard, crunchy residue

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stuff!! I haven’t used it on freshly washed wet hair yet. But I tried it out while on vacation and it was love at first use. I applied to damp hair on an old wash-n-go. I was very pleased and have since purchased some of my own... when I heard it was on sale of course. :-)

I absolutely LOVE this product! My only issue is that it leaves my hair kind of crunchy. The results outweigh the issue because it gives me nicely defined curls, shine and it smells so awesome!!!! I am going to mix some conditioners or something to see if i can get a better texture with this product in my hair but I love it.

This product gave me a beautiful twist out! This gave my curls great hold, but also left my hair shiny and really soft. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of the price - which is ridiculous! But I will definitely stock up on in during the BOGO sale.

i'm glad i only purchased the trail size. i might as well have slapped some blue magic in my head cause that's how greasy this stuff was, i was rocking a jerri curl for real. and the smell....it smells nice and sweet at first but after a while the sweetness turns sickening. as far as defining my curls....eh.... i get way better results with water and gel. and as far as softness, it left my hair feeling dry but greasy as hell at the same time. would not recommend this to a friend. i followed the directions on the label but it just did not work for my "jerri" curl hair

This is actually a really nice product. It gave my 3b 3c curls nice soft definition and decent hold with a nice scent. I only gave it a 3 because it contains a water soluble silicone(PEG-12 dimethicone). Im trying to go CG so any kind of silicone even water soluble ones are a no for me but thats a personal preference...

Hi Curlies, Word of advice for using Miss Jessies Products--"LESS IS MORE". I learned this the hard way. I would always get frizzless crunchy curls when using this product with a wash n go style. I realized I was over saturating my hair with it. When I use a small amount, my curls are beautiful, defined, moisturized and soft. If you over use this product you will not be happy. Oh! and over using the product produced more shrinkage for me. So, just use it wisely. ;-) -Samii

I gave this product a 3 simply because of the smell. It smells like candy to me! But on the downside it caused dryness and that crunchy feeling. When it apply it to my hair wet or dry it just feels a little strange. The flaking was atrocious. My black sweater looked like it was covered in salt! But on the upside I LOOOOOVE the conditioner. I add a little olive oil in there and use it as a shampoo my hair was moisturized. Would i purchase it again?... only if I HAD to, so no.

I love this stuff! I use this for my wash and gos and I get soft, moisturized, bouncy curls EVERY time. I love the smell and it has enough hold for me to get at least 3 good days out of my wash and goes (usually 4). I have been using it for several months now and I love it so much that I tried other things in the line and have been equally pleased. This line gets a lot of flack because of the use of mineral oil and the price but it is all right with me. It is so rare to find a product that actually delivers on its claims so I don't mind the expense. As far as ingredients, well I have been natural my whole life and have used everything under the sun from all natural concoctions that I made in my kitchen to silicone laden products with ingredients lists full of things I couldn't pronounce. What I have learned is that there is no one size fits all when it comes to hair.

An old friend put me on to Miss Jessie’s awhile ago but I could never find it. I mean, I saw it on their website, but I wasn’t going to pay shipping and handling on something I’ve never tried. One day walking in Target, I saw they finally got a shipment of Miss Jessie’s and I went nuts! I bought almost one of everything on that shelf. This is one thing I could have done without. This product leaves my hair over moisturized and I don’t know what exactly it’s supposed to do. I tried the 2-strand twist method with this…fail. Never again. The smell is tooty-fruity and coconutty, cool, but enhhh.. I don’t get the point.

This stuff really works best on kinky hair. Portion is key. A quick dip of a finger tip for each twist. I must be honest I do not use as directed. Heat never gets applied to my head. This stuff is great with a good air drying. Do smaller twist for kinky hair. I love this stuff!

I like this product as a M-F styling option (at least while I have a TWA). The Curly Meringue is lighter than the Curly Pudding. Therefore, there is less of an incidence of build up. This product really defines my curls with the right amount of moisture. My only misgiving is the price. As Miss Jessie's products are not natural, the price is really unreasonable.

Ok so...I have been using the curly meringue and curly pudding for some time. And i've come to this conclusion: on MY hair~not good for just wearing it out. ~Excellent for twists(i dont like braid outs). My twists were very well defined, shiny, and they last long. But if i shingled it through my hair without twists, it defined while wet, but when dry it was big, frizzy and made my scalp itch SO bad! (maybe it dries my scalp). i would buy this again to do my twists. its my staple in that area.

I've had bad experiences w/ most of Miss Jessie's products (pudding, buttercreame). At least to me, it seems that they are for 3A-4A hair. However, I was surprised at how the Curly Meringue worked and held my curls, esp. w/o having long hair. It's a bit greasy, but I used shea butter w/ it. Next time, I'll just use it by itself. Also, it seems that I only has buildup when I sat under a dryer to let it dry. I think if you air dry during the day or overnight, that avoids the problem. I won't use it everyday, but I'll keep it in my arsenal.

I was introduced to the Miss Jessie's product line when someone gave my mother some Curly Pudding. My mom later bought me a bunch of the products including the Meringue. The hold it offers is fantastic! I leaves an unsightly residue/flakes unless you apply it to wet hair. I prefer Curly Buttercreme. This is the only Miss Jessie's product that I have a complaint about. Everything else is wonderful to me....

I did a flat twist out on my hair using Ms.Jessie's Curly Meringue and I liked the way my hair came out. The twist held well and thats what I was looking for. I used a little curl milk to soften up my hair because it did have a little crunch to it once I took the twist out. Over all I like the product and will use it again.

I received this product as part of the Transitioning Cocktail package. It's okay. It does leave one's hair feeling a bit crunchy, and it's not the most hydrating. So, by default, one needs to use it with a moisturizer. I do, however, think that the Miss Jessie's product line is over-rated. There are products that perform better, and are less expensive.

I was very excited about using Miss Jessie's and I was sadly disappointed. I love the smell but did not like the crunchy feel of my hair. I am transitioning and I mainly use all natural products. I think I'm gonna stick with that! Waste of money and I've decided to mix some natural products into the meringue so hopefully I can try to use. And the buildup is horrible!

definition and shine....2 of the attributes listed for Miss Jessie's curly meringue. And that's exactly what I found when using this product. It defined my curls and my hair was shiny. I am very pleased with the outcome of my hair using this product. I sometimes add a little of the curly meringue to other products to bring out my curl definition. I will continue to use this product and would recommend it to others with 3c/4a type hair.

MJ Curly Meringue is the greatest! I have very dry, straw like 4a hair. I've tried other products during my transition stage and finally tried the CM. I loved this even over MJ Curly Pudding! It does exactly what it says - oingy-boingy curls with a fabulous shine. Loving the fresh "meringue" scent as well. Combined with MJ Curly Buttercreme for daily maintenance, this is the best product I've used since going natural.

I loved this product when I first tried it.. it made my 3b/3c hair look absolutely beautiful. The curls were well defined, pretty and full. The second day, it was all dried out, droopy and tangled. I wet my hair and reapplied the product (detangling along the way which took a long time) and unfortunately it never was restored to the original beauty it had the first time. I'm a big Miss Jessie's fan but this didn't work as well as Quick Curls for me.

When I used it on my hair it's hold was a little lighter then the pudding and it had a little more bounce but I perfer a stronger hold. also I didnt really like the smell, but thats just me because to me it smells like banana's and I do not like banana's but it still gives a very nice curl and sheen. it works better on my daughters hair which is a 3a/3b.

I love the way my hair looks when I put this product on freshly cleaned and conditioned hair that is soaking wet -- I get the prettiest, shiniest, well-defined curls. BUT, when my hair dries with this product, I get super dry, crunchy, hard, untouchable hair. I was so disappointed, because things started out so well. I can't use this product on my delicate 4a curls, because after it dries, it feels like my hair will crack and break off. I'm surprised to hear some say that it is moisturizing. From my experience, it sucked ALL the moisture out of my hair -- it took several deep conditioning treatments for my hair to feel normal and moisturized again. I'm giving it 2 curls because it at least starts out looking pretty. MJ needs to find a way for the product to maintain the look you can create with this cream without the extremely, drying effects.

I have 3b curls and the Curly Meringue is too heavy! It makes the curls stiff and totally drys out my hair. The only time I can get any use from it is if I am in a rush to get my hair staying in one place (when don't have time to wet and re-dry). But even after doing that I have to immediately wash it out the same night.
