The color is reminicent of Cholesterol without the tell-tale smell (those who've shopped in the "ethnic" isle know what I mean). This ultra moisturizing leave-in/detangler/moisturizer can also double as a styler if you dont mind a little volume. Very friendly to my 4a/4b non mixed parts too.

I have type 2b hair. I really love this stuff. It makes my curls not as frizzy. I don't like it mixed with Deva Angel though my hair feels oily and dirty. I use it alone.

One of my absolute favorites. It reminds me of Mane N Tale - anyone ever use that? Same color, smell, texture...hmmm - but I don't remember it being so useful. I use it right after a shower - right before I step out - and again, just a little, after towel drying my hair. Once it dries a bit, I run my fingers through and it looks great - then I use some conditioning mist or oil for frizz, and I'm set. You can also leave it in and let it dry and NOT run your fingers through, and it's a thick, sleek hold that isn't greasy looking. I especially like this product the first few days after a haircut - tames the shock without weighing it down.

I love mixed chicks! This stuff is amazing. My hair used to be so dry and lifeless but not anymore, with mixed chicks I get defined ringlets that are so pretty(I get so many compliments now). This stuff has answered my prayers. If you don't like a lot of body I wouldn't recommend it because it does tend to make my hair a bit larger than it used to be.

I cut the relaxer out of my hair 2 months ago so I'm new to the naturally curly. My hair is 3B and I love it. At first I was using Sebastian Wet which was great but it was drying out my hair, I tried Miss Jessie's curly pudding and it was ok but the Mixed Chicks Leave-in conditioner works wonders! My hair stays moist and has sheen. My curls aren't as defined as when I was using Sebastian Wet but with a little twisting here and there it looks just as good. I've received many compliments!

I tried this product bc its recommended for type 4b hair (in the curlaccino). It gave me great definiteion: lil coils everywhere. But my hair was soooo dry. It even looked dry and old. Depsite what else I did :DT, oil treatment, use with shea, this stuff made my hair a desert. I think it has too much protein and cones for my hair. 4b hair

This one disappointed me, but to be fair it's probably better suited for another hair type. It left my hair dry and frizzy, and for some reason my strands didn't really seem to want to absorb it. Still had visible product residue approximately two to three hours post application. Took a few CO washes to bring back my hair's softness and restore an acceptable moisture level. Would not purchase again.

By far the best ever. I'm black (not biracial) and have soft hair and curls. I have tried products from the ethnic shelves and it was too greasy and made my hair heavy. Then i tried non ethnic products and it made my hair dry and frizzy. Mixed Chicks is perfectly in between, because its for a mixture of hair types and needs. Also you can talk to the creators they have a lot of helpful tips....... Sharena, 24 -Indiana

Pros: Initially made my hair feel soft; Defined my curls. Cons: "Chemical" scent; Took forever to absorb into my hair and that subsequently increased my hair's drying time (thank God I tried it on a weekend and not when I had to go to work); Left a film on my hair that dried into flakes resembling dandruff; Did not mix well with other styling products (again, more flaking!!); The price I paid ($19+Tax at a store in NYC); The ingredients are suspect.

At first, it was very disappointing because made my hair too puffy after a few hours. Several of the other reviewers have mentioned this problem. But I found a way to counteract that: I apply it in the shower when my hair is sopping wet, and I mix it with honey! Somehow, that combination prevents the puffiness from forming. Now it is perfect all day. No puffiness, no frizz, perfect definition. It's now the best of the many products I've tried.

Great leave in and styler. Combined with the deep conditioner gave me the very best curly hair day yet. I am completely sold on the stuff. I could tell even before my hair dried that it was going to be a great hair day. I couldn't stop touching my wet/damp hair. It was so soft and CURLY!! I scrunched in a little Melting Gel and even got 2nd day hair out of it.Truly a HG for me!!

This product was OK at first. I think it was better than what I was using prior, however like one other reviewer said, after a few uses my hair felt strawlike and stringy, didn't have good slip and I realized has amodimethicone (third listed ingredient). As a newly converted CG it's off my list!

As my hair dried, the strands immediately expanded and looked extremely poofy. The curls were not defined, nor did they look moisturized. So basically, my mixed hair (i'm black, white and asian) looked a hot, puffy, dried out, undefined mess. I want my money back!!

I LOVE this product and this company. This product is great because it's a great way to moisturize and style to prevent frizz all in one product. You can put in less if you want a natural feel, and put in more if you want more hold or want to fight the humid weather. Plus, the owners/managers are great people. They often send little free samples with an order in the mail. I asked for specific products to be sent as samples and they sent me ten of them! After being a loyal customer to them ever since I discovered them years ago, they just sent me a free t-shirt along with my last purchase as a gift. How great is that!

It definitely left my hair soft and my curls well defined. About the only thing I don't like is that it required not towel drying my hair, which made it take longer to dry. It was better the second day than any other product I've tried. Also, I don't have to wet my hair every day to use this product.

i have biracial hair and i decided to try out mixedchicks because i thought it was for my kind of hair. i applied it to my hair when it was wet and worked it through my hair. when it dried when it was down it was very puffy and big and didn't really control the volume. so i started wearing it in a ponytail and it looked very nice while it was drying, but once it dried, the ponytail itself was really puffy and felt dry/not moisturized enough. it did form nice corkskrew curls though. but the front of my hair on top looked very nice and flat with waves. i would give this product four curls if i could wear my hair down without a lot of volume and frizz.

I love the Mixed Chick leave-in conditioner. I had my hairdresser give me a curlier hairstyle and started using this line and love it more than DevaCurl. It has a very light fragrance and the conditioner has just enough body and hold. I have no frizz with these products. I have to use the Deep Conditioner with it, however. I like the shampoo but can't use it every day so I alternate between it and Elucence Moisturizing Shampoo. My hair looks better than ever!!!

I'm not sure how people are using this system and not loving it. It is the absolutely best product I have ever used! I've found the products work best together and your hair has to be wet to apply the product. I shampoo and deep condition 1-2x/week and just rinse and reapply the conditioner in the morning. It's likely for the folks that still get frizz or get drier your hair is damaged, try a protein treatment.

I have tried every product on the market for curly hair and mixed chicks is the only one that gives definition, body, silkiness, no frizz, etc. etc. and still maintains great hold! you can either air dry or diffuse with this product..i diffuse when i want more volume and air dry when i want less. anyways i love this product its my hg and if you want silky healthy frizz free curls with good hold i think you should really try it.

The smell is not a good one, andthe product does not help the hair to retain moisture at all!And you can only use it on wet hair, which means that you'll have to wet your hair everyday in order to use it. Which is one of the many gripes that I have with this product. It also doesn't do a good job of keeping your hair frizz free all day, and it is not-an-all-in-one product for curly hair either. The only good thing going for this productis that it does help with curl definition.

I tried this product and it was terrible for my hair. At first i used a little and thought that was the problem and then increased the amount but the results were still not good at all. If left my hair dull, stiff and frizzy. It did not seem to penetrate the hair, it seemed to stay on the surface. I really feel this is an awful product and worst of all the company does not offer any returns or refunds so it was a real waste of money.

Love this product. I finally found the "one" product I could use to style my hair instead of using three different ones.
