chmcurly - Hair Type: 3a Recently tried the whole line of basic MopTop products and this one was my least favorite. It is unscented but still smells like some strange chemical goo. Texture was not bad and wasn't too heavy for my very fine, dry hair but also didn't do much at all to shape and hold curls, left lots of frizz. Made my hair a little stringy. Disappointing! All of the MopTop products should be made with the Lavendar Mint scent of the gentle shampoo (my favorite of the products).

lioncp - Hair Type: 3c Kind of reminds me of homemade jojoba jelly. Got really soft hold, not stiff. My hair felt more mosturized than with some other gels. Decent shine, and curl formation, but didn't feel like it took care of frizz as much as climate control. Overall a good product. May become a staple.

lewilisa - Hair Type: My hair is definitely softer and looks healthier, but this gel is not enough. I'm more "fluffy" which looks a little less than frizzy but no defined curls.

LindyL00 - Hair Type: 3b I love this gel! I think I have tried everything under the sun and fell for it all! I have frizzy, curly hair with a total mind of it's own. It hasn't had a shine in years. This is what I do...Mop Top shampoo, conditioner (leave 20% in), and then while I'm in the shower...Curl Keeper, and then the gel. I get out soaking wet and put clips in my hair...do the face washing, lotion thing and then take an old t-shirt and gently wick away some of the moisture. I scrunch (this is actually one product that works great with scrunching) for a while...and let it air dry! I'm sold!

Variety Pak - Hair Type: 2c My hair is 2b to 3b. I love this gel. I use it with JCRR and Plop my hair in a T-shirt for 15 to 20 minutes. Let my hair air dry. If I have any crunchy parts I can easily scrunch them out. My hair will have lots of shiny curls. Not weighed down at all. For those looking for a hard hold gel this is not one. But for natural pretty curls, this one is great!

Suburbanbushbabe - Hair Type: Love the consistency of this gel--slippery, not too thick and not too thin. Over a leave-in I get springy shiny hair when dried and it doesn't reduce my volume. Good stuff.

KrisNicole - Hair Type: 3a I wasn't sure I'd like this product because of the "light-hold", I usually like something stronger. This product was certainly a surprise - it definitely defined my curls and held them all day. I love this product!

Aimee Bradley - Hair Type: 3a It is tricky trying to figure out the right amount of gel to use. Once I got it down, my hair looks as fresh in the evening as it did in the morning. My hair is so much healthier after using all of the Mop Top products.

SusanSanti - Hair Type: 3a I really liked this gel - the emphasis here is on anit-frizz. I am a 3a (botticelli curls) and during the fall and winter I usually style my hair wavy instead of curly. Devachan and some other gels left me weirdly between curls and waves but this one did what I wanted, which was to eliminate friz. I can feel that there is no build up and that is a big plus as well.

Curly&Broke - Hair Type: 3b This product is as close to perfect as it gets. Love the light, SOFT hold. Love that it's fragrance free. Love that it leaves my hair shiny. Do not love that it's $15, but it works so well that I pay it...grr.

curlygirly - Hair Type: 3b This product is the BEST I have ever used. It is the only gel that I can use on dry hair if I want to. I now have beautiful ringlets and very shiny, healthy looking hair. It makes my hair feel really soft as well. I love it. No more scary hair days :)

gryantmarch2step - Hair Type: 3b I liked the idea of this gel but it's very similar to Deva Angell and it didn't work for me. The hold is way too light and it made my hair look more frizzy than normal. Didn't work for my 3B/C hair.

andrea - Hair Type: 2b I bought this product along with the conditioner and shampoo for my daughter. She has very curly hair, and we have tried ALOT of products over the years. Some products work for the frizz, however, she has such a problem with buildup and dryness. After attending the seminar and using the product, she had so many people in her school (8th grade) complimenting her beautiful hair. She no longer has uncontrollable frizz. The products are great because they have no alcohols or silicones, so her hair retains more moisture without the heavy buildup.
I have lightly wavy hair, usually I style it straight, but I have started using Mop Top as well! I love the way it smells and even my hairdresser commented on how great it felt last time I was in.
Give this product a try, you'll love it!
