At one point this was my favorite product. After washing and doing a conditioning comb-thru, i put the styling balm on my wet hair and be sure to cover thoroughly but not too heavily, then I finish with a gel. It gave me satiny-silky curls that were moisturized and happy.

I totally agree with Superstar327. I had the same bad experience with that product. To tell you the truth, I did not know, at the time I bought this product, that mineral oil and petrolatum are bad for hair. It's today while reviewing this product that I take notice that these two bad ingredients are in this product.Now I understand why my hair did not like it at all.My hair was greasy and not beautiful to look at.I had no curls at all when I used this. But I am happy since I did not even finish the pot:))

This product is great at defining my curls and adding body!!! I will continue to use it. I never use it alone, I usually add it in my hair and than use a moisturizer or a conditioning hairdress to finish off my look!

Net effect is like putting WD40 in your hair.

I frankly hated that product! It left my hair greasy, sticky, and dull and the smell is awful! Furthermore, it did not contribute to improving the condition of my hair either! I was frankly disppointed!

$25 down the drain. Greasy and smelly. I could find a comprable discount brand for $5 at Wal-Mart. It didn't define or tame any frizz or curls.

Great for moisturizing, especially for winter weather. Just be careful not to use too much. A little goes a long way.

This product is terrible! It's mostly mineral oil, petroleum, and waxes, which made my hair greasy, dull, and sticky. I used it for about 3 weeks, by which time I had developed dandruff because the product was clogging my hair follicles, and my hair felt dirty ALL THE TIME. This product was my first and last lesson on the importance of reading product labels.

This product made my hair greasy and frizzy at the same time--no matter how much I used.

Very moisturizing. Gives good curl formation, separation and definition.

A great leave-in conditioner/smoother. It's very concentrated so you only need a little. This product is similar to Phyto 7 and Phyto 9. I couldn't use it on its own without a gel or mousse, but it's a great leave-in.
