I like the product, but I don't get the packaging and purpose. If it's a leave in it should be bigger and have a different top. And if it's a treatment it should not have that cream leave in texture.
This product is kind of greasy but it gets the job done. I like the bottle and the pump top.
Smelled like mens cologne to me. It did not linger. I liked it. Light enough for my thin 4c tresses. Ends were softer. Will continue to use for smell alone.
I wanted to give this product gymnastics type scores: 3.85 or something along those lines. Like several other reviewers, I was irritated by the bottle. Why? Why is a thick(ish) conditioner out of this kind of pump situation? Either way, I will say that despite the challenge of actually getting to the product, I liked it. It was light, has a smell that is pleasant but not overpowering, and most importantly, it left my ends feeling better. To be fair to the product, my ends were in bad shape, and I used this product to see if I really, really needed the trim I was trying to avoid. (I did) I tried it again post trim, and my hair felt very nice.
My thumb kept slipping off of the pump which was frustrating, but I looooved how light this product went on. I was scared for a bit because the bottle is so small, but you don't need to use a lot at all. A little goes a long way with this product. It kept my hair soft and my ends felt softer than they normally do. I'm not sure if it completely repaired my ends, but it does leave an overall softness to my hair.
The pump was too difficult to use so I had to unscrew the top to use the tip mender. That's the only con because I really loved this product. It was thick and creamy and defined my hair really well. I used as a moisturizer and even on my ends. It also smells great and made my hair nice and soft.
The applicator is pretty hard to use as it only squirts out a lil at a time... but out of the entire product line, this is what I think I will continue to use on my hair... it smells great, and although I am not sure if it repaired my 4c hair ends (I was my hair every other day so that it doesn't get the lil balls at the ends) it has not harmed it, smells good and it leaves my hair a little softer than it was before
The applicator was hard to use! I don't know if this conditioner did anything for my hair, I still saw some split ends after using this this periodically. I think it was too thick for a leave in conditioner for my hair.
Not in love with the packaging. The pump applicator made it very difficult to get to the product. What I did love about this product was how soft it made my hair feel and the very clean smell it left on my hair.
The pump applicator took some getting used to, but we're good now. Also, I like the control of the pump because I tend to be a bit heavy handed with product, so this does a great job of reminding not to over-do it. I feel it works well with the other products to provide soft, moisturized hair. As far as mending tips and split ends? Time will tell.
Helps my roots and tips really well. I do use quite a bit since I have long hair. Makes my hair feel good too.
I loved this product, I loved the smelll so much! I used this with the butter for great twist outs. I do agree with another reviewer, I wish this product did not come with a pump because its a little annoying having to pump pump pump and only get a little bit of product at a time. I used it mainly to repair my dry ends and the next day my hair and ends are soft.
Great leave in BUT i WISH it didn't come with a pump :/ it was hard to always have to pump the product out on my 4c hair. Other than that it was great and smells yummy
This is a great leave-in product. It left my hair soft and I didn't get that "rough" feeling on my ends! Love it!
I have a major problem with split ends. My hair was trimmed 1.5in last month and needed something to maintain my ends. My ends felt very sleek after I applied the product to damp hair. Not much product comes from the pump and I have very thick coily hair. That's kinda frustrating. I'm still noticing some split ends but they're not as bad as they were.
I added this on to my mostly my end an halfway up to the roots. I then let my hair dry till the next day. It keep my hair soft. An my ends were very managable.
I'm not sure what the effects of this product was on my hair. I used this with the hair butter from the line and alone as a refresher to re twist my hair but because my hair was already soft not sure what this products purpose. When I did use it, I focused mainly on my ends because they do get dry fast and they did stay moisturized throughout the day. So, I think it's a good product, just not necessary.
This was not my favorite part of the product line for two reasons. I didn't like the pump because I was not sure if it was saying that this was the recommended amount or it would take a lot to pump the product out with damp hands. Also I did see any real moisture from this product. I did give it two curls because I feel like it is something that could work over time but from what I saw it just did work for me.
I used this product as a leave-in after washing my hair, it was ok, but I have many other leave-in that work better. Not sure why they put this in the small bottle with the pump, it takes a while to get enough product out for each section of my hair, a little does NOT go a long way, so this would be gone too quick. I did not notice any difference in my ends, which is what this product claims to help.
Initially, I felt that this product was probably the least useful in the anti-breakage line. But after a few weeks, I can see it's importance. I've been using this as a leave-in after washing my hair and it's actually done a pretty good job of preventing breakage. My biggest complaint with this product though, is I feel like I have to use so much to get results. I have to pump that bottle so many times in order to get a good amount in my hands. Since my hair is so thick, and I have to use to much, I almost wish it were just in a jar for me to scoop out, or a squeeze bottle - but the pump is horrible. I focus mainly on my ends and I've seen a difference so I will continue to use it. I gave it this rating however, mainly based on the lack of convenience and having to use to much in order to get results.
This left a filmy residue feeling to my hair and did nothing for fizz or moisture. I haven't even noticed a difference in split ends.
This product was really good for my ends, but I found it heavy for my roots. I tried more than once to go from roots to ends, but the roots wound up looking clumpy/crunchy. It worked great in taming and repairing dry, breaking ends and in helping to keep static fly away ends in check.
This product is good. I used it as a leave in. It went into my hair smoothly. My hair felt soften once applied. I like the smell!! I really wasn't sure what result it should give so that's why I'm still a little in the air about this. I think it needs to be used over time.
My ends are always dry for some reason, and they break just from you looking at them, but this has helped me severely. I've barely seen any breakage since I started using this product about two weeks ago.
I liked this product fairly well. I think it did a good job of moisturizing my hair and it was light enough that my hair didn't feel weighed down.
Enjoyed this product and found it to be moisturizing and it left a soft feeling after I applied it.
This product was awesome. It made my hair soft, and as a leave in, I could use it on wet and dry hair. I used it after washing and I continue to use it to refresh my hair. It does not build up and can be used with other products. I am still testing it out of the nape of my hair, that breaks easily, hopefully I can start to retain some length after using this product. My only criticism is that it comes in a small 4oz size.
This product made my hair soooo soft! My hair felt so nice. I love how light this product is. Its not much product but I really didn't need much for my head and I have a lot of hair.
This product did a good job strengthening my hair. I like that it smoothed my ends and made my hair less frizzy. I really like this product and will recommend it to my friends.
At first I wasn't sure what exactly this product was or the purpose it fulfilled then I figure it went on after thr shampoo and conditioner and you didnt rinse it out so its a leave in conditioner/treatment. Okay so here's the deal I like product it did a decent job and I have fine hair so the small stream of product and a few pumps is doable. However, the amount of product for the price and if you use this product as your leave in without the butter you'd use a lot more product then I did, its just not worth it. You'll run through this stuff too quickly. The bottle needs to be a bigger size, with a larger pump in my opinion to be better then products I have that are less expensive.
I'll be honest here. When you're working with 4 products at once (this whole Dark and Lovely line), it's difficult to tell which product does what in making your hair look good/bad. Since the whole line makes my hair look amazing, I'm just gonna go with the assumption that this product does its job. What I do know about it: It's incredibly light, and the bottle only squirts out a minimal amount at a time. The amount that makes a girl with thick hair like mine just laugh at the absurdity that such a small amount could tame the beast. But if you do it in sections like an earlier reviewer mentioned, the result is great. I have little to no split ends, and my hair has ceased clogging up the bathroom drain. The lack of disgusted looks my roommate gives me these days has improved our relationship significantly, and who knows, maybe I'll stop drinking all of her wine because of this. I'm gonna chalk these results up to some major wins by this product. High five Root to Tip Mender, high five. Solving hair crimes and roommate problems all day e'ery day.
Loved this, my hair was super soft not "grease". The only down side was the size and also the pump didnt work on my bottle other than that it was good. I will buy this product for myself and /or my sisters!
I have fine hair, so this was way too thick. It does have some slip to it, but again, it's not the type of product I can slather onto my hair. Smells a lot stronger than the other products in the line. It's not bad, but it's not my fav, so I gave it a 3.
This worked for me as a great detangler after I had rinsed the conditioner out. I only used 1 squirt per section and a little went a long way to give my hair softness, luster, and shine. The fragrance however was too strong and overwhelmed my nostrils. I wished this product could have had natural oils for fragrance...i was concerned about my sensitive skin and don't think I could continue using it over time without aggravating my skin.
Lightweight and great for moisturizing, Helped my hair remain strong through my transitioning. -Lola (@low_lahh) Hair Growth Diaries Participant

This product worked well and smelled AMAZING. I used it daily to nourish and mend my hair as I transitioned. It helped really moisturized my hair and drastically reduced breakage on my ends. Most definitely my favorite product of the line. -Jasmine from the Grow Out Diaries
