The first time I used this I hated it. It weighed my hair down. I tried a very tiny bit rubbed between my palms and applied to wet (not dripping) hair prior to applying gel. It makes my hair very nicely soft and moisturized, but doesn't do much of anything for my curl formation. Not the first thing I'd reach for, but it's not terrible either.

BAD INGREDIENTS!!! I first went natural i started using this, but even prior to going natural I was using Pantene's regular 2 in 1 shampoo and conditoner, which dried my hair out and broke it off! I'm so glad that these years later I know now what I should have known. Never again will Pantene or any store brand poo, conditioner or treatment touch my hair!!!

nothing special...it was watery and like my hair oily which using isnt easy to do.

When I first used this product, I thought WOW. Finally a product that does what it says. My hair was moisturized and soft. BUT then it did a whole lot more than that. I started noticing that I was losing more hair after washing my hair! YES!This product made my hair fall out!!!I have tried dozens of hair products but this is the only product that had such an effect on my hair. This stuff went flying in the trash.BEWARE of this product!

I didn't notice that one of the first ingredients was MINERAL OIL. It left my hair coated with thick goo, like Vaseline. I marched right back up to the store for a refund!

this product is not a good moisturizer. My hair will be dry 4 hours afte applying it. Kinda heavy and leave build up. Does give good definition.

A little too heavy for my type of hair, but I bet it would be great for 3b+ (tight, kinky, or relaxed).

I only used this product to slick back my hair into a bun about one or two days prior to my "poo wash day". It's really greasy so I don't recommend it as a moisturizer.

I have to agree that it does give you definition and shine, but it actually made my hair feel like straw. I was so dry that I had to rinse and condition to made make my hair fell better. It also made my scalp itch. I was scracthing all day. I had to wash and condition my hair to get back to normal. I would not even give this one curl!!

while it appears to define curls and add shine, etc.. the mineral oil and petroleum is more damamging than anything else. it clogs the pores in one's scapl.. making it unable to breath---stunts hair growth. aftr aplying this to my hair, i wentto my salon to get a monthly trim---my stylist said in dismay---"why is ur hair so greasy...what did u put in it?" do not use this!
