My curl pattern is 3b/3c. I normally deep condition under my bonnet dryer for an hour. However, I was lazy and decided to just leave it in my hair while showering, etc. This way, it seemed to work more as a regular conditioner. So it wasn't very intense like a hair mask or deep conditioner is supposed to be. However, I'm not ruling it out all the way just yet due to my laziness. I am going to try again under my bonnet dryer for an hour to see if that makes a difference.
I use carol's daughter sacred tiare hair mask for detangling. I have permed/color treated hair. My wet hair turns into seaweed about 4wks after the perm CANT get a comb thru w/o pulling and tuggling at hair that is already fragile and thinning. BUT this stuff is amazing. I apply it to wet hair leave it on at least 15 minutes then wash off and the comb slides thru my hair. I am buying up every jar I can find. It is becoming increasingly difficult to locate so I am wondering if it is about to be discontinued.
I was pleased with this conditioner. It is a little heavy but provides good slip and did not weigh down my curls. The scent is a little blah however.
I didn't like this. Although it's creamy and even alright for detangling, it didn't moisturize my hair. It just made it feel slick (because of the silicones), but not softer or moisturized.
This is a nice conditioner. Often I find heavy or deep conditioning products too much for my hair, but this one worked very nicely for me. It provided great slip and left my hair soft and full of body. It did not pull my waves down at all and my hair still detangled the next day without cleansing or re-conditioning. I will definitely continue using this product.
Nice creamy texture and moisturizing. The scent is my favorite but again, it is not offensive and didn't bother me too much. I did like this product but I'm not sure if I can say this is a "holy grail" deep conditioner as I have yet to find one. I cannot speak on whether or nor this product had slip because I detangle and twist (steps 1 and 2 in my wash day) before I apply a deep conditioner (my hair is already detangled before I get to this step) to my hair but I will try to see in my later uses of this product to see of this product provides slip.
I really enjoyed this product. It left my hair so soft and not too frizzy, but still some frizz. Still shedding nonstop, but it isn't as bad when I went to wash later that week. So, progress is progress! This has a nice whipped texture and is still thick enough to coat each strand. Would recommend for 3A+, because it may be too heavy for 2's (I have mixed 2C/3A). I think this is a must for summer hair, because i know that my hair is so dry in the summer...try it out!
OK this product I like the smell but when I rinsed it from my hair and when it dried my hair feels like it has a slight film on it some may not mind that but I have thick hair and also a lot of my hair came out when I rinsed it too
It smelt great.this was my first hair mask and it did a great job at leaving my hair soft and manageable. Very shiny. And no shedding afterwards. I'll use it again.
So I am a bit torn on this product: I like it, it smells decent, and did the job. Only, I had to use quit a bit of it and my hair felt a bit coated and the curls stretched out after I rinsed. Didn't feel as drying as the Hair Milk Cleansing Conditioner and had a much lighter, more pleasant scent. I would actually still use this product in my rotation of deep conditioners/hair masks. I can't comment on the breakage/shedding because I've never really dealt with those, but this is a decent hair mask for my fine 3A-B curls.
Though I don't have a huge problem with breakage and shedding, I am a fan of products that fight frizz. But this hair mask is a bit lack luster, in my opinion. I've used it three times total and it doesn't work for my 3b/c curls. Pros: It smells heavenly Cons: It takes a LOT of product to get the slip I would expect to get from a hair mask. My hair is just past shoulder length stretched out and I probably had to use gobs of it to coat my hair, so for the amount of product I have to use versus the price, it's not the best value. Also... and this is a big one... the second ingredient is alcohol. No wonder my hair felt super dry after the first time I used it. I had high hopes for this product, but was left rather disappointed.
I liked this product. The first time I used it over all my hair and it was a bit heavy (2a). My hair felt greasy. The next time I used it a week later, as the product reccomends, I only applied it to the ends of the hair and I was pleased with the results. I don't tend to have many issues with shedding or breakage, but I definitely didn't have the issue after using the product. The smell reminds me of walking in a field of flowers, so I like that.
I don't have a huge problem with shedding and breakage, so I don't think this product is the best for my hair (mostly 2a, normal porosity/density). I felt the product was a bit too heavy/too much for my hair but would likely be good for hair that is damaged/fragile. Not a fan of the smell of this either.
