My curl pattern is 3b/3c. This serum/oil did not work for me at all. I tried to seal in the moisture with using the Hair Milk Styling Pudding, but it did not do its job. My hair was still dry and very frizzy the next morning. Something is off about the formula in this product. I don't know what it is, but this is the first time I've tried an oil/serum that did not seal in or lock in the moisture.
This was another "okay" product that I tried out. The directions said to use 1-2 pumps on towel dried hair, but I found it more effective to use this oil as a refresher of sorts on fully dried, older hair. I have fine hair, so too much product could weigh down my hair... so, I stuck to using 1-2 drops for my entire head... not for each section. This is a nice product to use and will probably last forever. A little goes a long way and only using 1-2 pumps for your entire head makes it last a long time.
I'm on the fence for this product. Maybe I haven't mastered how little to use yet but so far, it leaves my hair looking greasy. I will keep playing with the amount and maybe mix it with another product to see if that makes a difference. I'll post an update in another week.
This is the kind of product i like for finishing my hairstyle! I like it because a little bit goes a long way! One or two pump with do the job for my head! I used it on damp hair and dry hair. It does a great job at locking the moisture in and also leaves a great shine to the hair!
This was too oily for me to use in a wash and go. It made my hair kind of frizzy and oily, but soft. I like it better as a refresher oil for day two, but I don't think it's super special. It is silicone free though!
I used this product in conjunction with the new Hair Milk Nourishing and Conditioning Styling Pudding and I can say that my hair is and has been for the past few days incredibly soft! I am pleasantly surprised!! Again, the scent, although not troublesome, was not my personal favorite (I typically like "foodie"/warm scents) and as I applied this as a sealant over the Hair Milk Styling Pudding, I have to be honest, I did not know what to expect. The combination of this serum with the styling pudding gave my already detangled hair a little room to work with in terms of slip BUT there wasn't much slip to be had with this combination. My twist out is/was definitely super defined and my hair is soft. I did add some Eco Styler to the areas that I experience the most frizz/flyways (on top) but I overall like this product combination.
I loved how this product lingers in my hair as I can smell the nice scent of it which reminds me of a perfume fragrances. I used this serum on dry hair after I took my hair out of braids for a braid out. I like how lightweight it makes my hair feels. It also gave me a lot of shine. It helped with my frizz making my hair look and feel less frizzy. I think I had used too much, so I was kind of heavy handed with the serum which made my hair feel oily. I should have only used 2 pumps.
I applied to damp hair to seal in the hair milk styling butter and I noticed immediate softness and shine and less frizziness. I also used it for the L.O.C. method. I don't think I've used it long enough to see the anti-breakage feature but it does combat frizziness and increase softness, smoothness and shine. It is also lightweight and smells amazing! I did have to used more than 1-2 pumps to achieve my results though. I gave a 3 because my hair tends to like a heavier oil.
I used this product three different times as a finisher/sealant and wasn't very impressed. The suggested use was 1-2 pumps, but, because my hair is high porosity and very long 3b/c curls, I ended up using 5 or 6 pumps throughout my hair and still had to supplement with an oil to get the shine I wanted. On the positive side, it smells lovely and is very light, but just too light for my hair.
I couldn't figure out when to use this product. I tried it both under the CD Hair Milk Styling Pudding, after washing my hair and letting it air dry (in place of a leave in conditioner), and also on dry hair. I really didn't know what to actually do with it. I will say that i liked it best when I just used this product and letting it air dry (and put in a braid). My hair is really to fine to wear an oil-based serum, but this really made it feel softer feeling when I washed it again. I used maybe 1-2 pumps over all my hair, concentrating on the ends, which have a tendency to feel dry, and this serum really countered that. And it was pleasantly scented (which I found unusual for CD products). Will continue using on my off days.
