I am rating this product based on its overall performance, but if you need lots of moisture, this is not a moisture-rich product. My hair was soft, and my curls were springy. I was impressed with the mica adding shine and sparkle without cyclomethicone (water insoluble silicone). However, I should point out that this is more of a silicone-based (dimethicone is water soluble) styler with a little moisture. Everything beneath the parabens would be in <1% amounts, so the protein and apricot oils are in very small amounts. My hair really liked this one, but as a leave-in, my hair wasn't "moist-er."

This is a great leave-in that doesn't feel heavy but leaves the hair soft. It's become a staple for me.
