I absolutely LOVE this gel. It provides a soft hold and no crunch whatsoever. It also plays well with any type of leave in conditioner from your cheapies to the expensive. I absolutely love it how it makes my hair look and feel and have found no other gel even comparable...and trust me, I've tried lots.

I used everything in the Curl Quencher line at one point in time because it was simply the best for me for providing better-than-average moisture without weighing my hair down and this product made my curls look nothing short of perfect. Howver, I was forced to stop using this and the Moisture Lock because, out of the blue, my scalp started itching uncontrollably and would not ease up until the next time I shampooed and used a different product. I suspect it is the Montana Arnica Extract in it though I'm not positive, but the same ingredient is found in some Murad facial moisurizers and I had an even worse reaction on my face after using for about 6 months. I contacted Ouidad about the problem but received no response. It is now too heavy for the top of my head anyway due to the fact that I've lost almost all curl there (it is 2A on top on a good day). I would give more than 3 stars if Ouidad had at least responded to my concern (Murad did-they helped me find something without the M.A. Extract AND sent me samples to try before shelling out more $!) and if the Ouidad ego hadn't gotten so out of control they felt the need to skyrocket their prices. It's bad enough to have to pay over $100 for a "Ouidad" hair cut.

I really like this Gel! It help to moisturize my hair and keep the curls defined. They have a tendency to dry a little crunchie, but if i turn my head upsidedown and give it a good shake the crunchies go away! The afternoons my hair gets a bit dry, so am going to look for something that will help it keep moisture a bit longer.

I really enjoy this product, i apply it soaking wet, in sections like the directions say. Then i scrunch out some water and finish with deva's angel. This combination gives me soft, touchable, nearly frizz-free hair. I also really enjoy the smell. I only gave it 4 curlies because it is a little pricey, but it lasts awhile

Tried this a while back. Like it a lot, but I mix it with Tress Effects gel to give it a little more uppphmmm. No crunch!

Love this product. Very clean, light and easy to distribute. You don’t need much of it and you don’t need to use it with any other product. Gives your curls great formation were I usually have to use two or even more in order to achieve the same result with just this one product.

Love this gel! I prefer the Curl Quencher to the Climate Control. It distributes easily, smells nice and gives me frizz free, bouncy curls that last all day. Definitely recommend it!

it's OKAY. i bought it thinking that it would have less intensity than the climate control and have not been too impressed. going on, things felt fine but as my hair dried, so the texture of my hair felt a little dried out as well. my curls LOOK really good though.

This is not a $12 product anymore, it's $22. Just like all of Ouidad's products, the price has shot through the roof so that your average curly girl is left dry.

This gel made my hair very soft, frizzfree and really shiny which I liked but my wavy hair got more defintion with the ouidad tress f/x gel.

I do love this product... however only on DAY 1 of use. Day 2: my hair gets extremely matted, and frizzy and it just is very messy and tangled. I have to use a lot of this product and the price is too much for me to keep buying it.

I can't say enough about how much I love this gel. I didn't have to use that much and it gave me great curl formation and hold. The best thing was that I didn't have that yucky crunchy feeling for hours as my hair air-dryed. It dried within 2 hours instead of 4-5 and it looked fabulous. I can't wait to wash my hair again and use it!

This product works best if you do follow the Ouidad regime 1) do your bi-weekly Ouidad Deep Treatments and 2) get a "carve & slice" Ouidad cut from a certified Ouidad hair stylist. Without these two important components you will not get the full benefits this fantastic gel offers. After I have a Ouidad cut and condition as required w/Deep Treatment, the results are astounding. Great bouncy and flirty curls.

Got this from my stylist. Smells awesome and gives me nice soft curls w/ no crunch. But I really have to work it in in sections and it usually gives me some flakiness.

I'm giving this gel 2 curls because it does three things to my hair that we all want to avoid: it weighs it down, it dries frizzy and it remains crunchy. The hold is also not good. If you go out and if there is moisture in the air or a lot of breeze your curls will frizz almost instantly. I even tried to use it with a styling cream but somehow it is not working for me. I expected more out of this one!!!

I was very disappointed in this product. I had soft hair and nice curls, but after a week of use--my hair was sooooo dried out--mostly on the ends where it can be more dry than the other areas. Bummer

I'm loving this. My hair feels moist, and holds all day.

I tried this product with a leave-in conditioner and without, and I found that it performed much better without a leave-in. There is some crunch if you use too much, so go easy and applying the product in sections (as opposed to just plopping it on) is critical to success. I needed to really work the product through in my 4b parts for it to do a good job. I wouldnt say my hair felt moisturized, but it was not dry, or dull. My hair had a shine/sheen to it. If you are looking for alot of hold, frizz control, and a bit of shine. this is a great product for that look. Not for the shrinkage-phobic. I also found that I needed a good shampoo/condition after using consistently for a few days because my conditioner didn't perform as well over time. Maybe it's the silicones... not sure.

I love this product. I think it's one of the best in the Ouidad line. It gives me great curl formation without drying out my hair. Nice consistency and no crunch.
