I used to use Organix Awapuhi Ginger conditioner (my old fave), which is around $8-10. I can get Aussie for less than $3, and it works just as well, maybe even better! It's great for detangling (AH-MAAAZ-ING SLIP)--a miracle worker! Plus, it makes my hair feel very soft. Also, it doesn't weigh down my hair too much, unlike Organix Moroccan Argan Creme which LOOSENED my curls. This smells so good too--like pineapples and coconuts. *** I don't exactly follow the curly girl method, so this and the other Organix conditioners I mentioned are not curly girl approved. ***
This conditioner was my saving grace at a time when my hair was so dry and difficult to de-tangle that I had my keys in hand ready to go to the store and buy a relaxer! To use it I section my hair off, saturate the a section with water, then slather on the Aussie moist conditioner, and finger de-tangle. It's inexpensive and it works! You won't regret it!
This is the best conditioner ive ever used. I'm so shocked at the price and how low it is because i definetly think this is way better than my mixed chicks leave in conditioner. I use this as a co-wash and leave- in ;and it does wonders on my hair. Makes my curls very soft and elongated when dry, also leaves an amazing scent in my hair that makes me feel like a coconut queen! haha this stuff is AMAZING.
Best drugstore conditioner. First bought it on vacation in florida when I ran out of my professional products and was soooo surprised. Like it better than Hello Hydration - has more slip in my opinion. Smells great! Moisturizes, slip, cheap. Do you need more? Big bottle for less than $5 and often goes on sale. just love it and I'll keep buying it.
Usually, when I use drugstore conditioners, they either have good slip OR really hydrate my hair, but never both. This product is amazing because it does both, but at a reasonable cost. You can find this almost anywhere, which takes away a ton of hassle. I recommend this, and I also recommend to try it as a leave in if you're all about using rinse outs as leave ins. So far, I only use this in my hair and it leaves it defined, and without frizz.
a really nice product, left my hair soft and moisturized :) 4 stars because of the strong sweet smell.
Amazing! Wow! Affordable, smells great! I buy the huge one and use every ounce of it! Detangles and seriously moisturizes! Most of the products I use are silicon free but I have made this one my exception. It works wonders. Holy Grail for sure.
This conditioner is amazing. <3 I use it as a co-wash and as a leave in sometimes, and it leaves my hair SUPER moisturized. It leaves my hair smelling equally as amazing as well. Sadly, I can only find it on rare occasions. :c
I loveeeeee this! It's so cheap, so you have to try it. I always get horrible tangles in the back and this makes the detangling process a breeze. I also use this as a leave in and it really helps hold my curls
To give the plain and simple answer, if you want a well moisturizing, great smelling, great slip, and all around basically perfect conditioner, this is your conditioner. And yes, it still technically is CG Friendly. The one cone in it is easily cleansed out with any low poo/sulfate free cleanser that contains Cocamidopropyl Betaine in it, which is in most CG friendly cleansers. This conditioner also doesn't build up in your hair. I don't think there is a better drugstore conditioner out there, and I'll go through why. First off, many people just go with the popular Tresemee Naturals conditioner, but IMO it was not anything special as far as conditioners, and really wasn't even good. At least, the new formula isn't. This conditioner is great for all curly hair types, it is great at adding moisture and also for detangling as it has great slip. If your hair is very dry and damaged, don't expect this to save it, because that is more the job of a leave in and deep conditioning mask. The smell is great, it smells like coconut. I've tried at least 100 conditioners in my life and this is by far my favourite. There's not even any point in being hesitant to try it as it's so cheap anyway. Give it a shot, and I'm sure you'll love it as well. Good luck!
This used be my FAVORITE conditioner before I switched to Tresemme Naturals. The reason I switched is, I don't like the film Aussie leaves on my hair, face, and skin after I use it. The smell started to give me a headache after a while. I LOVE it for detangling! It's so slippery and smooth and frothy when you use a Denman brush or tangle Teezer. I just wish it washed off my body and the shower more easily.
I use this this as a cowash sometimes. I love it because you can get a huge bottle for a reasonable price which last me for a while. The only real down side to this is that it doesn't give my hair as much moisture as I would like it too but for the price? Its a great deal! :)
This definitely works for my hair! The slip is great and it gives wonderful moisture back into my hair. I will repurchase again for sure.
I am a big fan of this conditioner. It has plenty of slip, a pleasant smell, and it leaves my hair soft, defined, and moisturized! However, I wish that it had better ingredients though.
One of my favorite conditioners. Slippage - check! Nicely scented - check! Moisturizing ---- eh, not so much....at least not to my liking. I'm a bigger fan of Herbal Essence's Hello Hydration.
My fav! Smells delightful and makes my hair feel soft and moisturized even after rinsing it out! My holy grail conditioner for sure! Love!
This conditioner is good stuff. I would say that Aussie Moist and Hello Hydration are on my holy grail list. My curls love it! But note that they are not CG friendly because of the ingredients.
For a cheap conditioner this one is great. The consistency is so thick and it makes my hair slippery and very easy to detangle. This conditioner really coats my hair heavily and it's thicker than some deep conditioners. It is also protein free which is great because many of my other conditioners contain protein. My hair feels nice and soft afterwards so I will probably be purchasing the big bottle. It does contain silicones but if that doesn't bother you then I would definitely give this a try.
Favorite conditioner. Ever. Period. Everything else is a hair treat lol. This is a necessity for my hair. Since day 1 of learning to care for my natural hair!!! Awesome slip, smells great, rinses out and my hair is super soft.
This the best conditioner I have used so far and the price is great, you can buy it for less than $4.00 at Walmart for a regular bottle and $6.00 for the large with a pump. I had really dry hair when I started transitioning to natural hair and used this mixed with some Avocado oil and it was a life-saver.
This conditioner is my holy grail because my hair always snaps back after I use it. Lately I have been washing my hair with shampoo once a week and then I use this as a rinse out and it thoroughly penetrates my hair every time. This conditioner primes my hair for my leave in conditioner which means i dont have to use as much. And let me tell you, after a week of using my refreshing HGs, the slip this product gives definitely comes in handy because I have very little shedding at the end if the week when its comes time for my next wash.
before I started curly girl method I used this. Worked very well. Moisturized and detangled. Then after starting cg method, having a hard time detangling, i decided to use this. detangle but not at all moisturizing. made my hair feel plastic y. now that i've seen the light of the cg method can't use anymore,BUT for silicone and/or sulfate girls this may be great for u cuz it was for me when i used silicones.also bis amnipropyl dimethicone is not at all water soluble.
I love this conditioner for co-washing. It has a nice smell that lingers throughout the day and gives my hair good slip. It's also easy on the pockets because you can find it at lots of different retailers including Family Dollar, Walgreen, CVS and Wal-Mart.
This conditioner was okay. I wouldn't say it was the worst conditioner in the world, but it definitely isn't the best. The only really great thing about it was the scent. It smelled like the rest of the Aussie products, coconut. It didn't moisturize my hair much, if any at all. It wasn't easy to comb through my super tangled hair. And my hair felt so dry after, I had to use another conditioner to the some moisture to my hair. Overall, I wouldn't recommend thid product.
is alright for my hair it didnt give it the moist i was looking for. but is a great detangler n for the price is not bad. just not for me
If i run out of my herbal essence hello hydration conditioner this is my go to conditioner in the mean time! Love it and smells so good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdnyAFsMKbM&feature=plcp
I really love this stuff. I use it as my DC and I add EVOO & Honey. Leaves my hair soft, moisturized, and smelling good.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the stuff to buy. I use it as a leave-in, for co-washing and deep conditioning (on occasion).
my curls range from spiral to wavy (I have like 3 textures on my head lol) and I really try not to wash my hair (with shampoo) more than twice a week when it's curly...this stuff is amazing and moisturizes better than any other conditioner I've tried...I'll usually just rinse my hair in cool water, load up my hair with this while I shower then I'll detangle (very easily) and rinse and it leaves my hair smelling great, soft and smooth...I've spent tons on $30-$60 conditioners (Wen, Deva Curl, Alterna 10 - sigh) and this is my HG for like $3 lol...I highyl recommend it and I'm thinking of trying the shampoo next (for now I'm using Finesse Moisturizing Shampoo), I tend to mix and match and try everything under the sun...having curly hair is a gift as it's "all weather hair" and gorgeous to look at but can be a challenge keeping it fresh...xoxo to my fellow curly haired ladies (and gents)
I love this conditioner, it has become one of my staples. This conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft and the slip to detangle is amazing. I love their 3 minute deep conditioner as well. Aussie RULES! :)
Great detangler. I use it as a rinse out, and it leaves my hair feeling super soft and moisturized. If you have an aversion to silicones, this one isn't for you, but if not; it's definitely worth a try. Smells great too.
LOVE IT!!! This stuff really saved my chemically suffering hair after my last BC. ALhtough it does contain one SIlicone (dimithecone) This stuff works wonders. I use it to make my leave ins and sometimes use it as a leave in itself. My hairs so FLUFFY!!!
A great product for us cheapies/PJs out there! Of all the products I cruise through, this is literally the ONE that is always on in my basket of stuff! The smell is nice but difficult to describe, so I'm sorry I can't help with that. I use this to co-wash, sometimes as a leave-in, and as a refresher mixed with water in a spray bottle. Works like a charm and pairs really well with other products unlike a lot of the other products I have! For the price, it's really worth a try because if you like it you can get a HUGE bottle of it from Walmart or Target for super cheap!!
I bought this stuff at the dollar general i was originally looking for another product from this line that i had seen i think it could have been like a conditioner cleanse or something anywayz i have never used aussie products b4 but heard of how good they smell and feel, the smell is great cant describe it but its smells fruity almost and it creamy and think like i like my conditioners to be and most importantly i did what it said it would do its very moisturizing and detangling was a breeze for three bucks its going to be a staple of mine
love LOVE love. this is my go to cheap conditioner, great for detangling and a base for my other products.
This is an okay conditioner. Bought it once but would not buy it again as I prefer the hello hydrations instead.
gurrrrrrrl, i love love LOVE this product!! it has a TON of slip, smells really good, and is amazing for cowashes. i bought the 33.8 oz bottle at wal-mart for around 4 dollars.. great deal for a super moisturizing conditioner on my dry transitioning hair!
I don't really like the smell of coconut, but since it's good for my hair I bought it. To me it didn't moisturize my hair that much, I think it was b/c of the alcohol in it, I just use it to DC now.
Love this conditioner. Detangles really well and provides excellent slip. Hair is still moisturized after rinsing and styling.
Great as a detangler. If I use it a lot, my hair becomes a soft freezy puff ball. I use it as a leave in mixed with water in a spray bottle and as a rinse out. I wish I could use it more without the frizz. It is one of the only productswith instant moisturized results.
Smells good, it's inexpensive, it conditions well and helps with detangling. I co washed using this product and then deep conditioned (left it on with a plastic cap for a day or three). Gave good slip and maintained the detangling I already did. Nice!
My curls love it and so do I ! Wonderful slip.. Detangled .. Also can be used as a leave in .. Minimum to no frizz at all ..love the smell.. Major staple product of mine .. And my hair did great with ingredients.. I read up on the dimethicone and it is not harmful atleast not for me !!
One of my favourite cheap conditioners for co-wash. The smell is devine and it is very moisturizing.
I LOVE this conditioner!! It really helps me easily finger detangle my 4b/c hair in the shower and leaves my hair soft. I use it with the Aussie Moist Shampoo as well. And the price is def right!
The smell is delightful and the moisture is great. It just wasn't as moisturizing as I expected it to be. I love to use it as a leave in though because it defines my curls better than any other conditioner I've used. It works best after I've shampooed as opposed to using it as a cowash; I blame the cones. Anyway, lovely if you're on a budget.
I LOVE IT.. this is my new go-to conditioner.. very moisturizing and can be used as a leave in.. very cheap and thick.. worth my time.. theres a lot of slip.. I love it.. when i use this i dont get much frizz and i get great results..
3b It works pretty much like herbal essences hello hydration, except more slippery. It clumps my curls well and when it dries in my hair it feels soft and also it smells great!
I give this conditioner only 4 curls because it does have "cones" in it. I am not too bothered by that info but I know some ladies aren't really down with the cones. It's a great, thick conditioner that smells great and does a great job detangling the hair. Whenever I run out of leave in, I just run a dollop thru my wet hair and it works great!
I really wanted to like this conditioner based on other reviews, but it was only okay. The scent is awesome and the price is right! Provided nice slip for detangling and moisturizing, but caused my scalp to itch like crazy! Not only were my curls not defined as I would have liked on washNgo days, I also had to deal w/ frizz. The 'dimethicone' was also a negative.

This is one of my staples for wash and go's. The only reason I didn't give it 5 curls is because of the dimethicone content. I try not to use it too often, but the moisture it gives is A+!
Just tried this yesterday and I really like it so far!!! It smells great and is really moisturizing... Only negative is that it has one silicone that I don't think is water soluble.
Although I do love my oneC, this has got to be my favorite go to conditioner. I used it as a cowash, a DT, and a leave in. It smells great. I like the constancy too. It does leave my hair moist when I use it as a leav in. Use a little more and you get good slip. This, besides OnceC, is my favorite go-to conditioner. I went and bought the bigger size.
It was moisturizing but it did not impress me. It did nothing for defining my curls. I purchased the large bottle and it does last forever but I find that a negative since I am trying to get rid of it.
I love this conditioner. No matter how many others I try, I always come back to it because it's great at untangling & clumping, & is of a nice thickness where I don't have to use a whole palm full to distribute. The scent is pleasant too.
Smells dee-lish but left my hair feeling totally dry and straw-like. There was nothing moist about it!
Great Conditioner. Moisturizes and makes my hair feel silky. The 1 liter bottles last for a long time.
I LOVE this stuff! I used it for my in-shower conditioner, as well as my leave-in. No other styling product needed. I recently moved to Europe, so there is no more of my beloved Aussie here. :(
this is definatly a conditioner you should try, after a long day at the beach it made my fried poof feel silky. Probaly the best conditioner i've used. and the price, with all the product i go through, its perfect.
This is the best drugstore conditioner I've used! It smells great, awesome, clumping, leaves my hair silky and frizz free and provides good moisture. I used to use L'oreal Nutri-Gloss conditioner, but this replaced it. I don't even need to use a leave in anymore! Although it has a questionable silicone, I haven't gotten any build up. Hooray for Aussie Moist!
