A good, lightweight gel. I like it mixed with a smoothing product.

Really good curl formation, but didn't last a minute against humidity. Looked great standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom. Outside, boing!

I used this years ago and just re-discovered why I loved it! Works great for me when paired with Wen by Chaz Dean's Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Cond. as a leave-in. This combo, along with PM Shampoo Three and a hot travel dryer (my curls love poo and hot air locks in the curls - whatever works!) gives me beautiful, well-defined curls that last a couple days.

I really loved this gel. My husband's stylist talked him into buying a tube, and I stole it away from him! It is just what the name implies - a very clean feeling product. No crunch, no build-up, no flakes. The hold was great for me, but very thick or heavy hair may need something a bit stronger. This is priced at $9 where I live, which is more than I usually spend on gel, but it's worth it.

I have used this gel for many years, and I have been unable to find any other that works as well as SCSG on my 3c hair.

This is my favorite styling gel. It helps me to keep my curls all day.

I need a strong holding product for curl formation, and this product didn't do it for me. Also, it left my hair very stringy looking.

I love this gel & have used it for a while now. It does have crunch to it, but I find I can lightly scrunch my hair once it's dry to soften it without losing the control. Works great alone or mix it with a smoothing cream for more softness.

great product! it's been revamped since gretchen and michelle's review, i think - the bottle is definitely different. very strong-hold gel, i usually mix it with a bit of water (or try super sculpt, that's a lighter hold). it has silicones in it so it defines curls really well. didn't weigh my hair down, but might be too much for a fine-haired curly. great stuff! shiny, strong curls that hold up in humidity.
