It was very drying and my hair felt like straw. I could almost feel the clarifying shampoo go to work. I'm a bit hesitant to try it again because of what it did to my hair the first time.

This is a good once-every-10 days type of shampoo if you use a lot of styling product. It did get rid of buildup, which tends to really show on my black hair. Nice lather and it didn't feel like it totally stripped my hair, like some clarifiers can.
