So I have tried this over and over again. I am sad to put one curl for Lorraine Massey's book changed my life and I love her gels and conditioners. However, this products SUCKS. It doesn't rejuvenate anything and I don't think the lavender smell is pleasant bc it is mixed with a citrus scent. Like most of the other reviews on here, it leaves my hair frizzy and merely coats the shaft rather than penetrate and revitalize curls. What a disappointment...I still have almost a few bottle so I am gonna keep using until its done. Then I am going to put water in it bc that will probably work better sadly.

I have fine thin naturally curly hair and this did absolutely nothing for my hair. It left my hair sticky and did not do anything for my frizz or my curls; in fact it made the frizz worse. Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist works so much better and I can go 4 days without washing my hair.

I was a little bit disappointed in this product, since it leaves my curls feeling a bit "sticky". I tried spraying it all over my hair before I scrunched it up with AnGEL, but nowadays I just use it to tame flyaways on second day hair.

I think this product is horrible. While I have seen an improvement on curls that need a little help, there are much better products out there. It always changes the texture of my hair for the worst. I prefer using water over this product.

I can get second day hair with this spray. I like to spray it even after conditioning my hair in the shower, and it acts as a nice base for my other stylers. It's weird but when I spray it to second-day hair, my hair curls up nicely again. It smells quite strong, but it fades away after some time. I might keep buying it!

I understand and like the thought process behind this product...i just find that it doesn't do what it says. Every time i used it, it ENCOURAGED flyaways and frizz. I experimented with quantity--spray very lightly and I got the frizz; if I got more generous with the misting, I ended up with limp, sticky curls. I get better results splashing regular water on my hair. It smells nice, but it was useless for me.

Another Mist-er WRONG. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in this product. I've been using, and loving Mist-er Right since I went CG. It's one of the few refresher/2nd day products I'd found that DIDN'T contain glycerin. On low dew point days, my hair cannot tolerate glycerin, so Mist-er Right was perfect for toting around, to keep away frizz, flyaways, and flatness. I recently purchased probably my 8th bottle of Mist-er Right. This bottle has a different label than the regular Deva label shown in Curlmart's photo: The label I purchased has a blue background behind an illustration of some sort of naked angel-fairy-type-woman, who has green wings and long blonde curls. I used this spray a few times, and my hair got crunchy, dry, and felt producty. Mist-er Right had never done this to me before, so after several uses, I checked the ingredients. Glycerin is now the second ingredient! The ingredients listed on my new bottle are Water, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lavender Oil, Melissa Officinalis Extract, Hops, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Matricaria, Rosemary, Achillea Millefolium Extract, DMDM Hydantoin. Sigh.

Worst 2nd day hair I've had in years after using this. I love One Condition and SIF, and thought I'd try this instead of using more SIF on 2nd day hair. It did not work. I followed the directions on the bottle and I got pure frizz everywhere I sprayed it, not even frizzy curls, just all-out fly-away frizz like my hair had no product in it at all (but it had an $18 product in it!!! Maybe the glycerin is the problem-- I've heard that ingredient works best in humidity and it wasn't humid at all today, and that SIF didn't used to contain any. At any rate, I will not use this again.

I am not a chemist by any stretch of the imagination, so I can't begin to explain why a slight change in product formulation caused this product to go from being wonderful for me, to being lousy. The ingredients on the first 8 bottles of Mist-er Right, of which I used every drop, were: Water, Propylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melissa Officinalis (Lemon Balm) Extract, Humulus Lupulas (Hops) Extract, Cymbopogon Schoeanthus (Lemongrass) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, DMDM Hydantoin. After using my newest bottle a few times, I noticed my hair felt dry, crusty, and looked dull. I checked the ingredients on my new bottle, and they are: Water (Aqua, Eau), Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Melissa Officinalis Extract, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, DMDM Hydantoin From what I can see, the difference in formulation is that Propylene Glycol has been replaced with Glycerin. The only thing I know about both ingredients, (because I read about them here), is that both act as humectants in hair products. Out of curiosity, I googled "Glycerin vs. propylene glycol", and a link came up to a book that has a brief paragraph that would be slightly helpful if hair were skin. It says: "Also PG has better permeation through the stratum corneum, probably because it has different solvent properties(i.e., propylene glycol is more lipid soluble than glycerin). Becuase of these superior solubility properties, PG is preferred over glycerin in many pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations..." (http://books.google.com/books?id=dQBAzfyCeQ8C&pg=PA289&lpg=PA289&dq=30%25+propylene+glycol+less+irritating&source=bl&ots=tX3ydFshrW&sig=boGWFez53n8BYcgMWVXgFep993g&hl=en&ei=Ys9USrTIEIKJtgeorOjPAQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=10#v=onepage&q=30%25%20propylene%20glycol%20less%20irritating&f=false) So, possibly my hair somehow gets moisture from propylene glycol, while glycerin dries it out? What I do know is that Mist-er Right used to be a fabulous moisturizer, refresher, second/third day revitalizer, etc., and now if feels like ordinary spray gel on my hair.

Not awful, but nothing special, either. I bought a bottle of this to keep at the gym for post-workout curl refreshing. I like the smell, but it doesn't do much to revive my 2c/3a curls, which often look a bit lank after I exercise. I thought it might work better if I'd previously styled my hair with other Deva products, but it still doesn't accomplish much. I had to wait till I got home to bring my curls back to life with my Ouidad curl refresher spray and a little leave-in conditioner.

I am in the beginning stages of CG, and this product saves my hair all day long. My hair still gets very dry as the day goes on, to the point that it feels crisp. Crisp means frizz and lack of shape, but spritzing this on my hair remoisturizes and reshapes with just a little scrunching. I use this at bedtime, too, to hold moisture in my hair and keep my scalp fresh. I love the beautiful, natural lavender scent. I'd buy this by the case if I could! As my hair gets into better shape I probably won't need as much of this as I'm currently using, but I'm sure it will be part of my regime for revitalization and springing my curls into shape.

I don't understand all the hype. It didn't do much for my 3B hair. idk maybe I'm not using it right but it feels like it dries my hair out and does nothing to get the curl back to a frizz free curl. All it does is wet it. The smell is alright I rather not smell it though. It smells lemony which I don't like as a hair smell

Mist-er Right is not a bad curl refresher I have to give this one 3 curls. I like the smell but if my curls need a little lift this just isn’t enough. This curl refresher is great for adding moisture to my hair but if my curls are really droopy this just isn’t enough. Compared to Jessicurl Awe Inspiraling Spray I like JessiCurl a little better.

I don't get why this product is rated "best of the best." I've tried using it over the last week, both over product and over nothing, and every time it seems like I'm just spraying lavender-scented water in my hair. I don't need to spend $18 for that! I get maybe a little more definition that pretty much goes away after the product (water) dries... landing me with end-of-day frizz, again as if I had just put water in my hair. Somebody below suggested spraying diluted conditioner as a 2nd-day curl reviver, I think I'll try that. I also recommend DevaCurl's Set It Free for 2nd day hair especially if it's a frizz-prone, barely curly type 2 like mine.

Good refresher that gives me fairly consistent results. I've found it works best for me if I spray it and let it soak in. Scrunching seems to cause frizz. I have to be careful not to use more than 3-4 squirts for my entire head, or my hair goes limp. Overall, a nice product though. I keep a bottle at work and one at home and mostly use it as a mid-day pick-me-up.
