this stuff separated my 4a curls and gave some curl definition after the first rinse. After the second application my hair became dry quickly. Then my twist out felt crunchy. Moving on!

I'm shocked to see all the negative reviews too. I've been using this product for a year now. I absolutely love it. It smells good and really moisturizes my 2b med-fine hair without weighing it down. I apply it to my hair after low-pooing and then finger comb. After about 2 months of use, my hair no longer tangled at the nape. I very rarely get tangles at all. I love this stuff. I originally selected it because it didn't have any wheat protein in it (allergies), but I've stuck with it because I haven't found another conditioner that does as well that is also wheat free.

I have been using this conditioner for many years (3A curls) and it is wonderful! I am shocked by the negative reviews and am wondering if the reviewers are confusing DevaCARE with DevaCURL. These 2 conditioners are very different. I do not like to smell or the condtioning of the devaCURL line. The devaCARE, however, is wonderful!. I have long, bleached, curly hair and my stylist is shocked at the softness and lack of split ends. He is amazed at the condition of my hair. Thank you DevaCare!!

Horrible. That's all I can say about this conditioner. Used it along with the the DevaCare Low-Poo and it left my 2b-2c color treated hair feeling like straw. Did not moisturize one bit. It felt waxy in consistency rather than emollient. I didn't have the problems with the smell that other people did at least. To me it just a had light citrus-like scent.

I was so excited to order this but to my disappointment it was horrible for my hair, and the smell was nauseating. It made my hair look like dry straw and dull. I have conditioners that are a quarter the price of this and 100% better. I sent all the Deva products I bought back.

After a week's use, I ended up with horrible, straw-like hair, with mats and tangles. Not great for my fine, 2C hair. It's going back to the store, along with all the other awful products in this line. :(

I am shock to see so many negative reviews. I LOVE this product! It provides great slip for my hair. By the way my hair is VERY THICK with tiny coils. At first the smell was over powering but I got use to its orange cream pop scent. I've started to finger detangle more with this product. The DevaCare One Condition provides great hydration and makes my coily curls pop!

The only thing that I like about this conditioner is tha packaging. I like the large size and pump dispenser. Other than that it has no redeeming qualities. I tried to use it this morning to detangle but it has practically no slip. In addition, the very strong scent precludes using it as a leave in and having fumes or scent waft off of me all day. No, thank you. I will use the rest as pre-co wash conditioner or add a bunch of coconut oil and use it as a deep conditioner.

Thick 4a, 3c in the front. I do not like the smell at all. It smells like cologne...very strong. I like that it is thick but it isn't slippery enough for me!!! It left my hair very soft I must admit. I have color in my hair (blonde in one section) so I like that it is for color treated hair. I purchased the 32oz bottle so I will use it all considering the price but I don't think I'll repurchase. I'm going to try it as a leave-in and see if I like it better.

I really like this conditioner! I have been looking for a conditioner with great ingredients that I could use as my sole styler. I tried DevaCurl One Condition a while back and didn't like it. But I have heard so many people talk about their hair needing to get used to it so I went to Ulta on a mission to give it another shot. Fortunately for me the only one they had was from the DevaCare line. I took a chance and I could not be more pleased. My hair lookd amazing the first day with just the conditioner and it lookes even better the second day! My curls feel soft and hydrated and I am actually looking forward to doing my hair tomorrow. I have been a curly girl all my life, I've used everything under the sun and I can easily tell when something is a keeper; this is a keeper. I will say a little goes a long way. I can sometimes be heavy handed and based on my experience with the DevaCurl One Condition I thought I needed a lot . I could have definitely used much less and I can tell I would have gotten the same (or better) results. Bottom line is that this has worked wonderfully for me. It took me all of ten minutes to do my hair from start to finish and I highly recommend it!

This conditioner is thick, gooey, sits on top of my hair, flattens my 3A- 3B curls, and strips off the red color--the second ingredient is glycerin, known for ruining color. I'm very disappointed in this product and in the no-poo cleaner, which also has heavy glycerin. I'm throwing it out.

I think CurlMart made a mistake by recommending this one and not the DevaCURL One Condition. There is definitely a difference. That could be why there are some negative reviews on this one. Overall, DevaCurl products, in my opinion, are by far the best product I have ever used for my curls. As most curly girls know, it's close to impossible to find a product that does the job. I myself, have literally tried EVERY product in the CVS hair-care section. If used correctly (see the devacurl website) these products will do WONDERS for your curls!!! TRUST ME! (but go for the devacurl (not "care") One Condition!)

Maybe it's just me (or my hair!) but I'm not loving this conditioner. Like the no poo shampoo, I feel like I have to use a lot of this conditioner just to get all of my hair coated. I used Devacare OneC for years and LOVED it and then they changed the formula. The new formula is terrible on my hair. Does not detangle or moisturize at all. Instead it just sits on top of my hair and does nothing! Leaves my hair a dried out, frizzy, tangled mess. I wish Deva could have just added these new formualtions to their line instead of discontinuing my favorite conditioner of all time.

I have 2c/3a curls (crazy I know) , I purchased the curly girls book years ago . I used Lorraine's homemade concoctions for several years along with a clear spray gel . When I saw Deva Curl I was so excited to try it , her advice had changed the way I manage my hair . I only wash my hair about once a week so, the 1st time I used the conditioner I didn't use the No Poo Shampoo . The conditioner was ok, not thick enough for me . Anyway thought I'd play it out and used the shampoo with my next washing . I truly hated it and hate is a strong word for me(dislike is the word I make my children use). I bought both at Ulta so needless to say it was overpriced, not wanting it to go to waste I let a friend of mine have the remainder ( of course with my opinion) . She is a 2a her hair is extremely fine and unpredictable . She wasn't happy either , her hair was frizzy and unruly. On top of not working it smells terrible.

One of the worst conditioners I've used. It had no detangling or moisturizing qualities about it on my hair and after awhile my hair felt like it had a lot of build-up. The only decent thing about it was I could use it as a leave-in (which I wouldn't need if it actually conditioned!). Will go elsewhere for my CG products.

Let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! I've been going cone-free for quite some time now but was struggling to find something that gave me slip like my old beloved Hello Hydration but without the cones because the stuff I was using recently (I'm not even going to mention it's name, that would be mean lol) was seriously making me lose ALOT of hair! I decided to give this a try because I have read good reviews about this product and it lives up to it's word. I have only used this product twice, but I love it so far! I had been using the DevaCurl One conditioner before switching. I have thick, but not too coarse, 2c/3a hair. DevaCurl was NOT moisturizing enough. NOT at all! DevaCare seems to be exactly what I needed. It provides enough moisture to hold my curls together and prevent frizzies. I do notice a definite difference between the two products.

I've long been a huge fan of the original One Condition, but decided to try this because I do color my hair. Let me first say, that I can't stand either of the One Condition scents. Why they can't pick a more across the board scent, I don't know. But aside from that, I L-O-V-E this conditioner. And more so than the original. It leaves my curls even softer and smoother, and they feel healthier to boot. Can't get enough...

I just wondered how this would compare to the Devacurl One C...and I actually think I prefer this one. I think it's just as great in terms of moisture and detangling properties, but to me, it just smells better and my hair looks better than with the Devacurl left in. It cuts down on the frizz a little more and makes my hair slightly shinier. It is certainly one of the best conditionners out there, and I really recommend it!
