I just decided to try this product. I use wen conditioner to wash and add to soaking wet hair. Then plopp in tshirt. I use t shirt to blot out excess moisture. Then use about a quarter size amount of wen w a generous amt of deva b'lieve in. Then diffuse out a bit, then let air dry. Once dry, I scrunch out the crunch. Works well for me in the winter.

Awesome styling product! Really enhances and defines curls while eliminating frizz. I use it under other styling products, like gel, because it doesn't really have any hold. You have to follow the instructions and use a generous amount if you want it to work, btw...I think a lot of people who hate on Deva products just aren't using them right :P

I wouldn't say B'Leave In was a conditioner as much as a light weight gel. At least that's how it works best for me. I love it. I scrunch it in on totally sopping wet hair and follow up with Deva Curl mousse then scrunch dry with tee shirt and then use a small amount of Angel (Deva Curl) for definition. I have 2c/3a very fine curls. Diffuse and follow up with the fabulous Deva Curl Spray. Can you tell I am a Deva Curl devotee?

this is not leave in conditioner, but a leave in protein treatment. using this alone my hair was stiff and gross- i admit it. but once i looked at the ingredients in here and started using it correctly i fell in love. my hair is 3a, bleached & damaged. it does like protein. so what i do is leave some deva one condition as a leave in, then i apply this followed by arcangel and set it free. i have beautiful, SHINY, soft, frizz free very bouncy curls. the difference in using this product vs not using it for me is when i use this my curls/wavy and considerably more bouncier and there is additional shine.

I really like this stuff! I have fine blonde 3a hair that isn't the healthiest and THRIVES on protein. So when i saw this product contained mostly protein as well as curl enhancing and Volumizing properties, I was sold. I find it makes the bottom of my hair super ringlet-y and defined and it gives me a little volume. It works best under Decacurl ArcAngel gel.

Update: for me, this does work really, really well scrunched in before AnGel. My stylist showed me how much to use of each, and the combo is great for me. I do get a bit more volume and softness than with AnGel alone. I think I might even buy the 16 oz when I run out! It still definitely doesn't replace a leave-in conditioner, and I generally use one under this product. But if it hasn't worked for you, I recommend trying it before AnGel.

I bought this as a leave-in conditioner, but after only one use, it was clear that it neither detangled nor moisturized. After reading reviews, I decided to try it as a styling product. It completely fails to provide volume or hold for my 2c/3a curls. By the time it's dry, I don't have a ton of frizz, but the only thing I do have is lank, undefined clumps of hair. Only by using it with other products (thus far, I've tried pairing it with mousse and with an anti-frizz serum plus a volumizing spray) do I get even adequate results. I might pick up a bottle of AnGel and try pairing them together, since some people have gotten good results with that. But unless that combination makes my hair look absolutely amazing, I don't think I'd ever buy this again, since on its own it is worse than useless.

"I'll Be Leavin you anywhere but in my hair." This did nothing for hydrating my hair, and I felt it may have even contributed to what AnGel was doing to try and convert me into a trustafarian.I bought this product and used the entire contents twice, switching between different DevaCurl products to rule this out as a culprit. So yes, me tinks tis product not workin.

At first, I really liked this leave-in. I have Type 2 Wavy hair and it was the first time I had ever used a leave-in conditioner. At the suggestion of my hairstylist, I tried DevaCurl (mostly because they had just started using it and promoting it at the salon). In the beginning it was great. But after repeated use, it started to dry out my hair, which was exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to do! I finished the bottle, but switched to Kinky Curly, which I am loving!

This is the only DevaCurl styling product that doesn't leave my hair feeling coated and frizzy, but like the others it also doesn't have as much hold as I like. I'm in the mood for softer curls these days, so this is a good product for keeping my 2b head that way. My curls are soft and feel moisturized. My hair is what I call "floofy" and I just wish this compacted the curls a little more, especially in the back. Otherwise, this is definitely the best DevaCurl styling product for me. I've tried AnGel, ArcAngel, Set Me Up, Mirror Curls, and the new volumizing foam mousse. All of those left my hair with the odd combination of producty-feeling, yet dull.

I really like this. I use this as a leave-in on days when I don't use One Condition as a leave-in. This is especially good on co-wash days (I cleanse with One Condition) because it's weightless. If used on 2nd/3rd day this works best for me with a little diffusing, otherwise it takes much too long to dry.

I can’t say I’ve experimented enough with this product to say I dislike it. However, used according to Deva’s recommendations (after One Condition, before styling products) it seems to promote frizz over time. It did boost my 2C-3A curls but I seem to get better results using Set It Free.

This product did what it said it would do- gave me a good curl boost and shine to my 3a/b curls. I love the smell and left my hair feeling soft and bouncy. I'm on third day hair and it still looks great! The only reason I didn't give 5 curls is the price. OUCH. I would love to make this a staple of my hair styling routine, but I'm not sure that I can afford to replace it once a month.

In reading the reviews below, I wanted to clarify something, this product is not a Leave In Conditioner but it is a styling product. I know the name is deceiving, but if you read the bottle you will see that its meant for curl enhancement and volume and thats exactly how it performs on me. I actually contacted Deva to make sure. I use it like you would use KCCC or a Curl Creme and I love it. It gives me natural looking soft ringlet curls, especially when topped with Angel, as opposed to clumpy curls. It depends on what look you're trying to achieve, but I'm liking the softer look of this lately. It isn't drying at all on me, but it also doesn't leave you with that wet look (which I hate). Also, there is no crunch with this product and therefore no need to SOTC which always messes up my curls.

Told my stylist that I was tired of fighting my curl. She used Devacurl products and sold me B'Leave-In. I experimented with it alone, with AnGel and B, and with AnGel alone. Found that if I use a small amount of B (1/4 B to 3/4 AnGel I get shine and softness that I didn't get with AnGel alone. More B than that, I just get flat. Bottom line, I like it with AnGel. But am still experimenting with other products so the jury is still our for me with this product.

The only reason I don't give this 5 curls is because I can't sleep in it and have it look the same. I didn't notice any drying out of my hair like many other people did. It worked amazingly with my waves and controlled my frizz. This almost gives me more curl than wave. More is better with this product and I love the way it looks with my same day hair.

Curl Type: 3a/3b I love, love, love this product!! I recently purchased this on a whim, and I'm so glad that I did. All that I did was scrunch a half dollar size amount of product into my hair, and volia! Shiny, clumpy, fizz free curls! It almost reminds me of how my hair turns out with KCCC, but I don't have to put gel on top of this product to make it work! I'm thrilled!

I followed the directions and followed this leave-in with ArcAngell. It defined my curls and gave them a little shine but also left them kind of fluffy and sticky. I agree that my hair felt a little dried out. My 2nd day hair was still defined but also fluffy, voluminous, sticky, slightly tangled and slightly frizzy. I haven't had any of these problems using the ArcAngell alone. That said, I did get compliments from straight-haired friends, so I guess it depends on what kind of look you're going for. Since I'm going for perfectly defined with absolutely no stickiness, this is going back to the store. (On top of that I also had the usual Deva problem of a "warm" and slightly itchy scalp due to the copious botanicals they put in their products.)

I rake this through wet hair, then I follow with the AnGEL hair gel. This stuff is okay, but the smell is really strong. I think it smells like really strong sour lemon-lime candy, which I don't really like. Once my bottle runs out, I will just use a tiny bit of One Condition as a leave-in.

I have tried really hard to like the Deva products, but I have come to the conclusion that the whole styling line is one big fraud perpetrated on CG believers. This product is a perfect example. It's supposed to be a leave-in conditioner, but it feels like a gel. According to the directions, you're supposed to rake it through your hair for best results, which is contrary to the whole CG "no touch" styling method! When you run it through your hair, it feels like it's literally sucking the moisture OUT, instead of locking it in. I have tried just about every method I can think of to make this and all of the other products work (damp hair, soaking wet hair, raking it through, scrunching alone), but nothing seems to work. My hair just comes out feeling dry and stringy. All the bounce and softness are gone. I truly believe that the only people who claim to get "good" results from Deva styling products are those who have yet to discover just how good their hair can look with other quality styling products.

I was totally skeptical about this product, since almost everyone stated it made their hair drier. I used this product after conditioning, and then applied some ArcAngell to my hair, scrunched and placed. My hair was soft and it really held my curls well. I had no need to do anything else. This line is my new routine. I really love everything I have tried to date.. I am a believer! This line leaves my curls natural looking, does not strip, does not dry. I am impressed!

I use it the way it says to on the package and follow with Angel (like it says). My hair is soft, full and bouncy. I love the curls I get! I can only assume that the negative reviews come from not following the package directions. I'm not real crazy about the smell (first Deva Product I can say that about), but it is so light and undetectable once I follow up with Angel.

Okay, so I've figured it out! To actually get B'Leave-In to work (moisturize, define, hold without any crunchiness, banish frizz, etc.) is to mix it with a really good leave-in conditioning cream and THEN apply it to your hair. I mix mine with Giovanni's Direct Leave-In and my hair has never looked better. I don't need to put anything else in my hair after either. The mixture will look whitish and will appear whitish in your hair, but it disappears/dissolves to clear within in 5 minutes or less (depending your hair type and the amount you use). You can then air dry or diffuse. I air dry and my curls have seriously never looked better. They look like they just got silkened or something rather than the wild child, big hippy-esque hair I usually have. Try my concoction as soon as you can. You won't regret it.

I got B'Leave-In to use on my hair when it's dry, as in not wet and also in need of conditioning. It works great for me! Not only does it moisturize my hair without weighing it down, but it revitalizes my curls and re-clumps them, which means I've been able to stretch out the time between co-washes. I also find the scent light and refreshing. So this is a win-win-win-win product for me.

When I used this it was the first time I can say I had actual curls instead of just hold using a product. It doesnt feel crispy or hard like a gel but I had curls... I really did like this. I don't know if I can afford it, to be honest, and I paid less than it is here. But if I could, I would. I had shiny curls that smelled fresh and clean!

I am somewhere between a 2b and 3a. My hair curls much more in the back, where I have longer layers. My hair is also VERY thick and a little more on the coarser side. This was my first experience with a leave in. I have noticed a difference almost immediately, my hair is much softer and not as dry as it was before. So far this product has been pretty good for me. I do use it with Angell and spruce up inbetween waskings with a spray gel (redkin) and the mister right.
