Super Sculpt was GREAT when I was transitioning. I mixed it with alcohol-free mousse and my curls were plump, shiney, and touchable. I had trouble finding it lately and have since moved on. It can be sticky on 2nd or 3rd day and the MUST be washed out.

I've been using this product for almost 20 years. It works best when mixed with a cream product, like Jonathan weightless smoothing no frizz balm. This product defines curls, but if used alone may make the curls look "crunchy" so best used with a cream.

Too much does make my curls stringy, but a moderate amount makes them into curls on steroids! Low frizz. Very nice results!

I've been using this product for over 15 years and I've been pretty pleased with it. You just have to play with it to figure out the right amount for you. I have thick 3a/3b hair that goes just past my ear lobes. I rub a quarter size amount in my hands and then scrunch in an upwards direction in sections. It's not nearly as crunchy for me when I scrunch it in as opposed to raking it in. I good great hold and well-defined, shiny curls. It can build up on you, but every product I've tried so far (CG or not) gives me build up. Sometimes I alternate with B&A gel to give my hair a break. If your hair is too crunchy and stringy, then try applying it the way I do: use a small amount on very wet hair; scrunch it in in an upwards motion from your ends to the roots; apply in sections. Raking it in will make your hair super crunchy and stiff. When it's dry, just gently scrunch the crunch out until it loosens up. If your hair gets easily weighed down, then don't use this with a leave-in conditioner. This might be a good match with Curlisto Structura Lotion or the Innersense Create Quiet Calm Curl Control for added hold, but I haven't tried those b/c creamy products weigh my hair down.

I am a 3A. I actually used to use this regularly about 10 years ago. Will reduce flyaways and frizz but also gives crispy curls. Potent green apple scent. The consisitency is a super liquidy gel. This is in my product graveyard. Does not create soft curls and also weighs my hair down to a wave.

This stuff gave my stringy curls. I am pretty sure it is the culprit that dried out my scalp as well! I think it is ok but too drying for me!

This gel is very similar to Batia & Aleeza's gel. It pretty much acts and looks the same with a different smell. The only difference is the PM gel has silcicones in it and might feel a little heavier in the hair. Both these gels gave me stringy curls and some what droopy looking hair. The first couple of times I tried this gel my hair turned out really nice but after a while my hair didn't wanna come out nice at all. The B&A gel worked better in the long run.
