This is the perfect styling balm IMO! You don't need a lot and it has the perfect, sticky, but not too thick consistency. I use it for ponytails and braids on my two little girls, and I find it works better/I need less with my younger daughter, who has 3a/b hair than on my other daughter, who has 4a/b hair. It's a great finishing balm for smoothing out edges, sealing ends, and laying down the baby hairs at the nape and forehead. I really like that it's all natural, but I do wish that it had some kind of fragrance, though the unscented smell is not totally unpleasant. It leaves the hair shiny, smooth, and frizz free and the results last a long time.

I'm very happy with this balm. I use it on my 7yo daughter's 2b hair. We like a dime size amount rubbed between palms, then "scrunched" into soaking freshly combed hair. She gets nice silky clumps and frizz control, but no sticky-ness.... and it combs right out (great because at her age we can't wash/rinse her hair everyday)!! It's close to our holy grail!!

I really like this product, especially for defining curls. Gives nice hold without crunch. Definitely unique.

My neighbor used this on her son's curls. She only used about a pea-sized amount, but his hair looked producty-shiny and frizzy.
