I love this! I know it has sulfates, I know it has silicone, but it doesn't seem to bother my hair at all, it leaves my hair feeling super soft and moisturized. so for me its a keeper.

The smell is ok, Detangling properties are great, generous amount of lather allowing my fingers to glide through my 4a hair. Great price for the quantity. I'd recommend it for transitioning.

This product does leave hair clean, but smell tends to overpower you and it doesn't really seem like a stand out product to add to regimen.

I've been using Creme of Nature since I started swimming as a child. It's the best shampoo to protect and soften my hair. Glad it's free of sulfates & other chemicals.

WORST. PRODUCT. EVER. (<- understatement) i hope that registered. 1. this is loaded with cones, which means u r getting the impression that your hair is being conditioned (but it isn't) 2. the name is very misleading! DETANGLING?! yeah, right. this created so many tangles and pulled some hair out 3. i paid $6 for a crap product. just do yourself a favor and buy a separate shampoo and conditioner. or look at any 2-n-1 besides this one. extremely dissatisfied...

I have been using this shampoo forever. I mean forever. I am 23 and I don't ever remember a time I didn't use it. My mom is a hair dresser and use to get it for me back when only licensed beauticians could get it. (and it was in a jug lol) It was the only thing that would get through my knots. They did change the formula a few years back and I'll admit I liked the old better but it still works. I even found my roommate using. I didn't know it was sulfate free. I thought I had to give it because of my keratin. But if it is I am back on it.

Ok, I know this is not natural and all that... I know. BUT, this does really help when I want to detangle my hair and have it be manageable. I don't use it often... but it works.

The company not only changed the look of the bottle, but also changed the ingredients. Therefore, it is no longer sulphate-free and smells awful. The product still detangles and is non-stripping, so it's still worth buying. But it doesn't detangle as well. If you can find the older version out there somewhere, get it.

I loved this at first, but as I used it more it seemed to work less well (which could be a protein issue for me). Also, I agree with the posters that hated the scent. It gave me a headache. That being said, it does seem to cleanse without stripping the hair, but after several uses, it left mine feeling coated, and not in a good way.

I LOOOOVE this stuff (although I use the green kind - but here it says it's Extra Body, which mine isn't). It's extremely moisturizing, detangling, and it lathers up nicely. It cleans but doesn't strip. Sometimes I feel like I don't need conditioner (but I still do)! It's just fantastic. The smell is the only real downside. I'd give it 3 1/2 curls if I could.

This shampoo is wonderful; does exactly what it says. No sulfates that I can see, yet it lathers like crazy (if you're into that like me) and it still leaves your hair SOOO soft! Makes my conditioner work better. I do like to dilute this some, it goes a LONG way! Look in the African American products for this one.

Has the cleansing effect like a regular conditioner. Feels alright after use but some how leaves a build-up-y feeling in my hair. Hated the smell. Nope, not for me.

I have to agree that the smell is absolutely horrid, but this is a very nice, gentle cleanser safe for the CG routine. I don't think it cleanses any better than a co-wash, but it's much easier to distribute and you don't need as much.

I'm a 2C and I LOVE this shampoo. It leaves my hair so soft and shiny. And it's so conditioning, I don't even use a conditioner. The smell isn't exactly inspiring, but I don't think it smells bad-- just sort of clean and soapy.

I faithfully use this shampoo, despite the fact that I simply loathe the smell. Which should give some indication of how well it performs! It is simply the best shampoo I have ever used. It just cleans without stripping or drying. I do not use a separate conditioner and my hair always looks good after using this. BTW, I do not have afro hair. Just part Egyptian, wavy and dry....not really even coarse. And I know straight haired girls who love this stuff too.

I tried this shampoo and it's terrific...makes my hair very soft and easy combing! Also must state I found a new product called Silk Essentials which seems to be a pretty good line. Their liquid styling gel is so light; not sticky or weighing down... and it does the trick in defining curls and waves!! Check it out!

The best shampoo I have ever used. It is more detangling than most conditioners. After using this, I don't even use a rinse-out conditioner! So I get smooth, clean, detangled hair while saving time and money!

I have 2c hair. very thick, coarse, prone to frizz. i LOVE this shampoo. i don't even need to condition afterwards. (I do not have Afro hair. I am Iranian) Have recommended this shampoo to my Mom, aunt and sister and they all love it too. the only con is the smell. awful. but for what it does, i don't care. this is the only shampoo that actually feels like it's doing something for my hair.
