Love this gel! This is pretty much the only gel I've been using for a year now. Its dirt cheap, holds and defines my hair and smooths it nicely. The ONLY problem I have is that sometimes it seems to weigh down my curls, but otherwise I love it.

i HAVE NEVER TRIED THE CURLY KIND BUT I TRIED THE REGULAR KIND THAT IS I THINK 12X HOLD AND IT WORKS FINE FOR ME MAY LEAVE IT A LITTLE HARD BUT IT HOLDS

Of the 4 different LA Looks gels I've tried, this is my least favorite. It made my hair soft which sounds great but for me this means the hold isn't strong enough so my hair was poofier and frizzier and didn't have definition. Odd since it's made for curly hair. You can't always go by the name of a product I guess. : )

This didn't work for me either as well as the sport version. It gave me stringy looking frizzy curls with some frizz.

This is an okay gel. Pros: super cheap, good smell, and great frizz control. Cons: stiff crunch and sticky finish. I usually don't reach for this gel unless it's raining or if I'm going to be working out.

This is a pretty good gel. It smells okay, and gives nice definition. Only problem is the crunch, and I think it weighs my hair down a bit too much.

This product is Phenomenal its dirt cheap, defines and holds my medium/fine hair. You get a little crunch, but nothing you can't flip your hair over and scrunch out.

I know I'm not supposed to use this product (I've been indoctrinated into the DevaCurl philosophy), but I always come back to this or the yellow one. I have to use it as part of my styling arsenal-1st leave in conditioner, then anti-frizz, and then this. Each product plays it's role. This one weighs down my curls without the crunchy feel. It's great.

Nice hold with a good scent. It has quite a bit of protein which I found to be drying, so if you are protein sensitive I would avoid purchasing.

I used to try a new gel practically every other week, but this has been my number one choice for several years now. Say what you will about inexpensive products, but this has worked better than many expensive ones for me. Great frizz control, and not much crunchiness, especially when I started mixing it with Garnier's Anti-humidity styling cream

this product is a good wash&&go...i scrunch a little bit and my curls are nicely defined...to my suprise it didn't go producty or stiff or flaky like most gels do and it's nice on my thick and curly hair

This works well for me, good definition. I haven't had an issue with much flaking, and the hold isn't stiff or crunchy - also a plus! And at $3 for a huge bottle, you cannot beat the price.

I have to admit, for the reasonable price and size, this is an okay product. Unfortunately, it makes hair crunchy, and, after two years, I still have almost the whole bottle left, since it doesn't work good and I don't feel like getting rid of it.

i love this stuff... smells awesome, minimal frizz, not too sticky, doesnt get that crunchy; the only problem is it leaves a little flake
