i saw alot of great reviews and thought this product might work well for me and it did not at all. i had always saw the price and I just hadn't bought it. I bought it when I saw it was on sale 5.99 with a 1.00 off coupon. it has basically been a complete waste. Everytime I use it my hair gets dry and tangled, even when I dilute it. The only good thing is that it lasts forever and if I have tons of buildup I can always count on it to strip me of everything.

:))))))) Darling, darling, darling! This stuff right here...when I was transitioning not just from relaxed to natural, but also from sulfates, parabens, and silicons to sulfate free, para-free, and silicon free products, my hair was soooo itchy and dry from all the years of abusing my hair with chemicals! I finally started using this product even though it has sulfates derived from coconut and added a little more tea tree oil (my choice). This completely rid all the itchiness and dryness on my scalp. I have so much respect for the makers of this product! If anyone knows how it feels to have the itchy scalp and dry brittle hair...then give this a try! Staple product for sure!

I don't use shampoo anymore, but if I did I would use this one. When I think of "tea tree scalp" shampoo, I think DRY DRY DRY. However, this product was surprisingly light and didn't strip my hair like I thought it would. I only use this on a small patch of scalp where I was getting itch and dandruff, and use the Giovanni Tea Tree Conditioner to cleanse the rest of my hair and scalp.

I really like this stuff. My hair felt clean, wasn't dry, and it has no sulfates or silicone which I love. I hear the most about the conditioner, but I actually like it better. Still, wanna try other cleansers but I would buy this again.

I only use this shampoo about once a month or so to cleanse. It does a pretty good job of that too, maybe a little too well, hence why I use it very sparingly. I mix it with cheap conditioner, and only have to use about a nickel sized amount on my looooong, thick hair. I say it's good if you need a cleanse, but a little strong for frequent use. And it smells heavenly.

This shampoo saved my greasy, buildup-prone roots. It also helped heal my itchy, dry scalp. Cowashing with conditioner overloads my scalp, but this cleanses my scalp without drying it out. Now I can go at least three days without washing my hair. Also, a little goes a long way with this stuff, which makes the price reasonable. So far I've used this consistently (at least three times/week) on my long, thick hair for seven months and I still have a third of the bottle left. Definitely an HG.

2 curls because it WILL strip your hair of EVERYTHING that is in it. For that reason, maybe it's a good clarifying shampoo to use once every blue moon. but for my dry hair, it is not a good weekly shampoo. it leaves my hair tangled and super dry. when i rinse it off, my hair feels so hard that i'm scare to touch it because i think it'll all fall out (no lie). I hear alot of people rave about it... but this is definitely one those instances where what works for some doesn't work for others and i'm totally fine with that. looking to give this away and looking for a replacement weekly shampoo.

The price tag scared me off for years (I'm a real cheapie) despite all the good reviews. After desperately needing a clarifying shampoo (and one that would tame the itchies), but fed up with silicones, I decided to take a stab at Giovanni's shampoo. I liked the ingredients and boy, my hair liked them too! The tea tree and peppermint oils felt like a dream on my scalp. Normally, clarifying shampoos, even ones with the gentler sulfates, strip my hair and leave it a tangled rat's nest, but my scalp and hair were left clean without the dry stripped feeling. I probably can't get away with using it more than once a week, but it's a keeper. I didn't even have to use that much! Well worth the price!

This shampoo cleanses the hair really well. I alternate it with my Sheamoisture shampoo because I find it to be drying and strips my hair if I use it too often. However, this is a great shampoo for getting rid of product build up.

Makes my scalp feel great and clean without stripping my hair. I use it 2x a week, and it's not too drying on my fine, porous, color-treated hair. Wonderful smell!

a GREAT shampoo, it does exactly as it says it does. Love the tingling sensation it gives my scalp, as well as the minty scent. I look at it moreso as a clarifying shampoo rather than a regular shampoo, so I use it every other week to get rid of the product buildup. Great shampoo, 5 curls

I love the minty smell of this product. But besides that, the power of its cleaning agents are ideal. Now this product to me is more of a clarifying shampoo. On the back it has 4 dots ranging from clarify on the left to moisturize on the right. This product stops at a 2 on the scale meaning its more of a clarifying product. If you put alot of products in your hair, like creamy thick and yes heavy products, then its perfect. Also if you go long periods w/o washing your hair but yet you still keep laying products on it, then you should still have this in your stash. It can be a bit harsh if you decide on washing with it everyday. I see ideally 2x a month for every hair type. My first time using it, I could hear streaking as I washed my strands (its a good thing) but for now on I will try to keep the usage on a low since I already have very dry hair. Hope this helps someone.

Not a bad shampoo, I love the tingling sensation and the smell. However, I found it drying for my hair. Best used for scalp, it really got the product build up and dirt off. Keep off strands however if you can. It's just about the same as the Golden Wheat except they are too drying I think its due to the Sodium ingredients.

This is a really good shampoo. It gets my hair clean without stripping, and it smells amazing. But it doesn't do anything great for curl formation, so it only gets 3 curls.

LOVE! I just bought this after going shampooless for two weeks. I felt my 3a curls needed to degunk since they are kind of fine, so I was on the hunt for a gentle, sulfate- dree shampoo. I am crazy about anything minty, so I had to try this. It makes your scalp cool and tingly, so it is AMAZING after working out to help cool you down. My curls were more fluffy and slightly less defined (which I don't mind, I like a softer look) after shampooing, conditioning, and using my usual products, but they did not seem drier or frizzier. I even got second day hair!!!

I adore this shampoo. It's soothing to the scalp and doesn't cause irritation like majority of others do (I have VERY sensitive skin). It's cleaning power is fair to good, but the fresh, minty scent alone is worth it. It also gives my hair a nice shine and keeps the curls light without leaving them too dry.
