I have 3c (sprinklets) and 4a hair. I've been researching and researching like crazy for natural hair products that will benefit my hair and I've been looking at the reviews for Giovanni. I was amazed that it scored so well. So tonight I tried it 3/4/2010. $8 at Whole Foods is a wonderful price. I rarely shampoo my hair and I felt I needed a clarifying cleanser more so than shampoo. Anyway I lathered up with it and it has suds, this isn't a no poo shampoo. I could smell it, it has this herbal smell I think, but what stunk was I got in both my eyes. It burns! So I massaged it in my scalp and then did a second wash. I could feel it working. It definitely cleansed my hair of all the product. After that I applied the Smooth as Silk protein pack ($2.99 @ WFoods) and let it sit more than 10 minutes. Then I conditioned with Aveda's Damage Remedy. I definitely notice a difference in my hair. The Giovanni Golden Wheat brought out my natural curl more than any other shampoo. I could feel my hair relaxing, calming down becoming pliable while washing it. Normally its thick and cottony and you can grab it and move a stack, but the Goivanni just lulled it to sleep. Even afterwards, I can feel the shampoo still working. Great shampoo and I would definitely recommend this to anyone with my type of hair. Giovanni rocks!!

This is a great clarifying shampoo if you have oily hair or use heavy styling products. I like to use it when washing out silicone products used to straighten my hair. It has a nice scent and leaves hair very fresh. My husband really likes it as well. It is comparable to Pantene Pro-V Purity Clarifying shampoo, but unlike Pantene, it is cruelty-free and made with natural ingredients. The only drawback is that it leaves a few tangles in my hair, making more work for my conditioner.
