This is the best product to use as a daily conditioner. I have a twa with 3b/3c mix and this works very well at moisturizing and defining my curls. I mix it with coconut oil and my twa looks great! It looks like soft baby curls. This works extremely well on my daughters hair as well, same texture as mine, just way longer. Detangling her hair used to be dreadful but this has really worked wonders. I find that her twist last alot longer too.

I love this leave-in! I have 4A hair, and am 3 1/2 months strong into my transition. When I apply this leave-in, it makes my hair soft, smooth, shiny, and gives it a slickness that helps with detangling. I use it for my hair and my daughter's without any problems. It does not flake, though when you apply it, it creates a sudsy-like solution (almost like a conditioning setting lotion). As your hair dries, the suds disappear and you are left with gorgeous hair!! I like that it is a natural product and it is helping my hair be its best for a reasonable price.

After product after product, I have finally found my staple leave-in conditioner! It glides over my curls so smoothly and quenches my thirsty hair perfectly for all day moisture. I love the fact that it leaves my hair touchable and soft without leaving a residue on my fingers. It has a very light citrus scent that is not at all overpowering. I like to use it right after my co-wash or on freshly washed hair. It works best for me that way, especially with my hair being so thick that it responds to products best when it is slightly damp. I love this product and how it make my hair feel so silky as I am applying it throughout my hair. It's my staple for sure!

This is a great leave-in. It has protein in it, so it doesn't work for everyone's curls. But it defines my curls, and keeps my curls moisturized all day.

Hate this leave it. It left white flakes I'm my hair and trust me I did not use a lot of this product. I think that this product works for the 3's and 4a's. For us 4c girls I don't think it will work. Get that Knot today girls!

Really good stuff. I'm able to use this as my styler, with no other products. It can leave a slight white residue when too much is used, but then I just take my thumb and finger and gently "smush" the curl where the white residue is until it disappers. Although, I've never had the residue on my entire head...maybe gently blotting with a paper towel or something while hair is still wet would help?

It makes detangling your hair super easy and pain free. However, if you use too much product it will leave white residue. Therefore, a little goes along way. This is a good leave-in overall.

I can't really decide if I like this. It doesnt seem to work for me. Sometimes It leaves a little white on my hair, and i dont even use a lot. other times my hair will frizzy (even if i use a gel). I'll try using more, and if that doesn't work then I'll just use it at night / mixed with water for a refresher.

I wanted to join the club of curlies who LOVE this. And I tried... but I can't. For me, it only worked when used in conjunction with other moisturizers on top. When used alone, it gave my curls great definition, but left a dry, crunchy film on them. Basically, I love the stuff until my hair dries... It has a great ingredient list and I think the price is acceptable, but I'd rather have a leave-in that I don't have to use with something else. For that reason, I say it's average.

I have very tight 4A hair and this is my FAVORITE leave-in. A little goes a long way and it's multi-purpose. I use it like a traditional leave-in after washing/conditioning. I also use it as a spritz diluted with water and oil to refresh my twists or braids, I use it when I'm dry-styling and as a pre-poo as needed. It keeps my coarse hair super soft.

It smells good and moisturizes well, and I'm always happy to find cruelty-free, organic products at a decent price, but when I use it with Confixor (my HG gel from Aveda), I get crunchy curls, and I don't think I'm using that much. I even tried putting coconut oil (which I normally only put on my ends at night) between the conditioner and gel, but I still get crunchy curls. I'll continue to use up the product, but I won't repurchase.

This is definitely my Holy Grail. I actually start to panic if I'm running low on this product. I can do so many things with this product. One way is use this as a leave in with coconut or castor oil as a sealant. The second way is to use it in place of knot today under my kinky curly. This product leaves my hair soft shiny with lots of bouncy curls. I never leave home without it. Love, Love, Love it.

I am in love with this product. Usually I just use my conditioner as a leave-in, but as the weather got hotter and more humid I noticed I needed some more weight/moisture. This leave in really works great for my 3b curls- it's light weight and very silky. Most of the time I put about a quarter size dollop in and scrunch some gel over that. However, on a nice day (no rain/low humidity) I can simple put the leave-in in for a more relaxed, loose curl. Try this!! You won't be disappointed.

I'm going to give Direct Leave-in a 3. Why? It has natural oils which is very good, no silicones, proteins or sulfates. The only problem I had was detangling. It worked ok for me, but not as well as the Smooth as Silk Xtreme Protein pack. That put the funk in I'm a detangling guru! Funk in a good way and plus my hair was smooth as silk, but it does contain one silicone - Dimethicone in it. But I still recommend it. The DLI however was white on my hair when first applied, but after rubbing it in more and more the hair sucked it up. A good conitioner or leave-in for the value. Giovanni has good products.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I went off of the reviews and ordered this from Vitacost, as a reviewer said its cheaper...THIS LEAVE IN IS AMAZING! I have 3 a-b hair, but its fine, so have needed a good leave-in for quite some time without it weighing my hair down. This does the trick. It smells nice, and just about a dime amount for my shoulder lenght hair works great. Will order this again and again! Highly recommend. I have used so many other products that say they are for curly hair specifically, but this product works fantastically! You wont be disappointed!

This is such a nice, lightweight leave-in for my 3a hair. curls are soft and touchable and look so healthy! This is going to be my new go-to and it's not greasy-feeling so if there's too much rain (in Oregon? No!) just a little extra won't hurt a thing!

This product is always reliable. I try other styling products but I always end up coming back to this one. The price is right, I can find it locally, and it is the perfect weight for my short w/long layers/3b curls. Two things that make it 4 curls instead of 5: after a few months of daily use, it seems to stop working as well, so I have take a break from it; and sometimes it dries a bit crunchy (but generally can be scrunched out fine). I wouldn't say it's HG for me, but it's pretty close.

I love this stuff. I've used it for years. Recently I started mixing it with organic coconut oil and I don't need anything else to make my hair soft and shiny. This has replaced all my styling products. I apply it when wet so when its dry it's soft and touchable, no oily residue from the coconut oil. If you are on a curly girl routine, you may need to shampoo or low poo once a month or so, as it can cause build up if you use too much.

I am a relentless curly-haired woman. If I hate a hair product, I want my money back end of story. I will send a product right back if it's not worth my hard earned money. It can't just be a good product, it has to be something I can add to my "essentials list" or "can't live without list". With that said, I just tried this l-in today and I think it's safe to say I am in love. The smell, the lightness, the texture, the ingredients -not to mention the curls I'm sporting today! This is a wonderful product and I will never look at another l-in the same :O) And to think I wasn't even interested in buying any of Giovanni's products, they made a fool out of me.

This product is heaven scent. I honestly didn't know leave-in conditioners could be creamy ... creams (lol) and not just non-moisturizing liquids until I picked up this product almost 8 months ago. No matter how I use it - alone, mixed with DevaCurl's B'Leave-In (Direct's the ONLY product I've found that makes DC's B'Leave-In actually workable and wearable), mixed with Terax's Life Drops or underneath a heavier curl creme - it just works. My hair gets the moisture it needs without any of the bad stuff. I recommend this product immensely! I also recommend buying ALL Giovanni products at vitacost.com. They sell the entire line for like 1/2 off (as a rule, not as a promotion) and the shipping is super quick and reliable.

I used this product for the first time tonight and I'm completely hooked. If I can duplicate these amazing, shiny, bouncy, clumpy curls tomorrow, I may just drive to the store tomorrow and buy a case of bottles just in case they stop making it. I used about a teaspoon's worth in my below-the-shoulders, very thirsty, 2b/3a curls, with no other gel or cream. I used it after washing my hair with Trader Joe's Nourish conditioner and squeezing out most of the water. By the way, the consistency and fragrance of the Giovanni actually seems very similar the TJ's product, so I'm going to experiment with that as a leave in as well and see how they compare.

I am a harsh critic-- but this product is AMAZING. My curls love this product. My curls are left so moisturized( but not weighed down), defined, and frizz-free. One thing though-- I already have naturally thick hair with volume. This adds lots of extra volume, which I could do without. However, for those of you with limp curls, it would be amazing.

This is my holy grail, #1 favorite leave-in product. Used in conjunction with Innersense's Quiet Calm cream and Sweet Spirit spray, it gives my 2B/3A hair great curl formation--not just waves. And unlike most other leave-ins (like Aveda Elixir), it is not too heavy for my fine hair, as long as I don't overdo it and use too much product. It never leaves my hair weighed-down, sticky, crunchy, or dirty-looking. Plus, it's cruelty free and made with natural products.

Excellent Leave In Conditioner and Styler. I have thick, tight curls and this is the only product I use; it melts into my hair and detangles it instantly while providing great curl formation and hold and softness.
