Note!!!!: The ingredients listed are old, as of Spring, 2013!!!!! The new formula (I don't have time to post it, but you can probably find it listed on vitacost) is actually pretty good. I first bought it about 6 months ago, but I was still blow-drying my hair quite often. The product does not look that great on damaged hair, in part because it has no silicones. However, it won't further damage hair, so that's a plus. Since I have stopped heat styling and have cut off my damaged ends, this product is definitely one of my favorites. I use it on slightly damp hair after air-drying, or to re-define my style throughout the day. (I have 2b-c type hair, by the way.) It improves shine quite a bit for a product without cones, and it adds texture and smoothness. I don't think it's the best for super-defining curls, although I've gotten it to do it. It's a really good all-around product that styles without a lot of build-up over the week. I should note, however, that it was pretty easy to overuse this product until I had been using it for about a month. Be careful not to pump out too much on your first try. If you do end up using too much, I found that re-wetting the hair with a spray bottle or with my hands fixed the style and stopped the mousse from being too "crunchy".
The first time I used it I thought I had found my HG product. It gave my hair lots of volume and defined curls, even to the roots. However the second time I used it, I was more active and as the day progressed my hair became frizzier and lost some of its definition. Would be perfect if it had more frizz control.
Not sure if this is the same product, perhaps the picture above is older packaging? I have the Giovanni natural mousse air-turbo charged hair styling foam. medium to firm hold. Did not like this product. Made my hair very hard and crunchy. Did not define curls. Left hair very dry. if you are looking for a holding foam then you will probably like it.
