This product defined my curls well and defintely defined them, but it left my hair crunchy. I followed the instructions as asked and the product did exactly what it was supposed to do. I wish it left my hair softer, but, I could figure out how to make it not make my hair crunchy, I'd be iintereted in trying it again.

I really love this product. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, even without the use of a leave in conditioner, and never crunchy. I love the fact that it's organic; I'm a huge fan of Aubrey as it is. The only reason I'm not giving it more stars is because of the hold. As much as I love how it makes my hair feel, it doesn't have a very strong hold. By the end of the day, my hair usually ends up poofy and the curls are not as defined as earlier in the day. Also, I noticed that when my hair started to get longer, it left my curls looking a bit limp. If you don't require much hold, then I would definitely recommend trying this gel.

My hair really loved this product, it kept them moisturized and shiny the whole day and even the second day. However it didn't hold (very well) or separate my curls, in fact they clumped like crazy. I don't have a lot of hair, so good separating is a must for my products. I always used it on SOAKING wet hair and used a diffusor. Only got flakes with this product once, when I put too much on my roots, not the first time in my product-junkie historie though...

This product did not do anything for my hair. It's like putting thickened water in my hair. Did not define my curls nor reduce frizziness. It did provide much needed moisture. Wound never buy again.

I was suprised this worked pretty good for my finicky hair. it it wasn't for my new love of homemade flaxseed gel I might use this more often after I finish my sample since the results seemed very similar. My hair had nice shine, increased curl and soft scrunchable curls. Didn't leave it in all day to know how long it holds though...wasn't quite as strong feeling as my FSG, maybe a little too soft, but I probably could always add more.

I love Aubrey Organics but this gel always leaves me with white flakes the next day after using it.....

In an effort to perfect perfection I tried this gel mixed with the Honeysuckle Rose conditioner (which I already use & LOVE!)and it was a bust- to say the least. I liked the fact that the ingredients are natural, but the definition I got was way less than when I use the conditioner alone...so from now on, I'm going to stick with the conditioner!

This is some odd stuff. I hated it when used as a lone styler but I tried it again yesterday and today after getting frustrated with everything else I've been using. This time I used KCKT as a leave in, SS CEJ as a curl enhancer/base gel, then applied a thin layer of AO B-5 Design gel. The bottle does say to use just a dime sized amount. So I used that much watered down in my hand for the top half of my hair, then another watered down dime sized amount for the bottom half. I love the results! Combining this with the Spiral Solutions CEJ is the way to go!

I love the smell of this product and the smooth texture of my curls after I use this product for a wet set. However, it works best when I combine shea butter and other essential oils with it.

I'm with Gretchen. AWFUL! No hold, fluffy mess, part of my hair had too much volume part was flat as a pancake. Smells icky too! I love AOMM but this one is awful! I have fine and thin hair and it also made my hair feel weighted down and heavy. I ended up having to have a re-do. Not recommended!

Sometimes this gel likes me, sometimes my hair is still way too frizzy with it. However, I really like the texture and light hold.

I've had mixed results with this gel. Sometimes it looks good on its own but usually it doesn't have enough hold on its own, so I combine it with BRHG or HE tousle me softly spray gel.

AO Mandarin Magic Jelly is the best darn gel I've ever used and gives me 2nd day hair, so I was really prepared to love the B5 since the ingredients seem so similar. No way; it dried out my hair something fierce. Aubrey Organics gels are not created equal.

This gel works great if you mix it with Aubrey's mandarin moisture jelly. I've found that their products work a lot better if you use their shampoo and conditioner. My curls were a little crunchy but if used with their conditioner, my curls stood the test of humidity without becoming frizzy or poofy. I REALLY like most of their products....but they MUST be used together. GREAT CURL DEFINITION and not producty at all.

Provided hold (for a while) but no curl formation or definition. Hair was a floppy, fluffy mess by midday.
