This stuff is amazing. I have been using this for about a year and I'm just now writing a review for this product. I was a little concern because when I think mask I think of a thick rich product. This is a thin product but works so well for me. I get uber soft hair with or without heat and it's only $10. My only complaint would be this needs to be in a bottle instead of a jar.

This product was okay. I will not make another purchase for the honey hair mask. My main problem with this product was a lack of consistency, it was so watery I couldn't stand it. I feel as though there better hair mask out there, maybe even from the same company. So that's my experience.

The smell is very overwhelming for me. It smells like honey and coconuts but it's VERY strong. I used it in my Deep Conditioner, it was super moisturizing and made my hair feel great after shampooing. I would buy it again but it's very expensive for just a little jar, it's very slippery and not thick at all. But if you can overlook that and look at it's moisturizing properties then this might be for you!

This product was just ok to me because I tried to use it as a deep conditioner because of "mask" in the name and the directions. It smells good, and it was easy to apply. I like that it helped me to remove some really bad tangles from during the week, though I had to use a lot of it to do so (I am already heavy handed with conditioners and this is thin). However, I have better moisturizing deep conditioners. I plan to use the rest of my jar as a regular conditioner, but I probably will not buy this again. I prefer to have cheap rinse out conditioners and save the real money for deep conditioners.

This stuff is too thin. It did not do anything for my hair. It felt like a normal conditioner. I'm afraid I'll have to use the whole jar to see results. It does smell nice.

Worked extremely well on my hair. I will most likely repurchase. Only took off one star for the scent. It's so strong! Smells like amaretto lol. Somewhat sickening. Does not linger after you wash it out though. I'm just forced to hold my breath as I apply it.

One of my favorite deep conditioners. Smells great (honey/almond type scent) and leaves hair feeling great. I have a mix of 4a-4b tightly coiled hair.

Used this as a DC after I colored my hair. My was hair was so dry after my color, but this DC revived my hair with moisture and curls! It is runny, so application was a bit difficult, but it makes up for the moisture it provided. The smell is a bit too sweet for me, but it is okay. My transitioning sister used before I did, and it made her hair soft as well. It is made finger detangling a breeze for us. Will repurchase!

I used this DC last night for the first time. I was very excited to use it because of the reviews on here, also the smell was sooo inviting, I couldn't wait. I have pretty fine, maybe 4a natural hair with about 75% heat damage :(. SO my hair is thicker and curly at the roots (about 3-5 inches) and the rest is very straight and thinned out. Now, I started washing very late and I like to DC for at least an hour so I decided to apply the product and baggy overnight then rinsed in the morning. The product was very thin and watery in consistency, which was surprising, but I didn't mind because I assumed that my hair would absorb it easily and have my hair super moisturized. I sectioned my hair down the middle and started applying to one side (right) of my head but soon realized that no matter how much I put my hair it did not feel like it was being saturated. So for the other (left) half of my hair I mixed the honey hair mask with some of my EVOO in a container and it felt much better! It became thicker and heavier and felt like my hair was actually being coated. The next morning after rinsing, it was just as I suspected. The mask really did nothing for my hair. The side that I mixed with oil however, felt pretty good. It was soft to the touch and felt coated and moisturized. The other side felt like it had nothing but water on it. I even had my bf feel it and tell me which side felt softer to make sure it wasn't just in my head, he totally agreed that the right side simply felt wet while the left was" soft and smooth." I wasn't too upset because the product was only $10 and after mixing with the oil it worked pretty well for my hair. Still, I was disappointed because I really thought it was gonna be great. Hopefully after multiple uses it will work better? I payed for it so I am gonna use it continuously until its finished so I can be done with it, but i'm 90% sure I won't repurchase. Step it up My Honey Child.

I notice that most of the bad reviews come from people with a low hair type and the good reviews come from the higher hair types like mine (4c/d), I used this product before and it did wonders for my hair I need to order another one as a matter of fact. I think coarser hair absorbs this better because of the thickness and intense curl pattern. Hair types such as this need something to straighten it out some, but for those with a lite curl pattern it will just weigh your hair down down down, if i'm not mistaken.

I used it this passed sunday after co-washing and i must say that i like it alot. I love the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep treatment masque, yet this was moisturzing, softening and really prepped my hair for my leave-ins and styling. Especially since professionally having my hair colored, it seems dryer than normal and this perked my hair right up. I'll be alternating these 2 deep conditioners on a weekly basis, especially since you don't have to leave it on for long.

A very nice deep conditioner!! Keeps my 4a/b hair soft and moisterized. I use this as a co-wash sometimes and rinse throughly..Has a strong aroma of almonds and feels smooth and slippering when applying (not gummy) to your hair..Great Product!!! I use this all the time.

Sigh. If you care or are picky about what ingredients you put in your hair, please please please remember to go to the creator's web site and double check the ingredients. This contains glyceryl caprylate (an emulsifier) which is NOT listed in the ingredients here. I personally avoid emulsifiers, but still, I decided to give this a try and washed my hair (Terressentials Left Coast Lemon Hair Wash) and then followed with this. I detangled my hair, then rinsed out. Um.. it would NOT come out of my hair! I rinsed forever with no luck. I considered washing again but decided to see what happens. Dried my hair, then put Olive You Deep Conditioner on my hair as a leave-in (which I heart right now!). Oiled my scalp and proceeded to wait until it dries. This stuff... I can't imagine who would like this.... I CAN say, it seems to hold in moisture but it just feels so yucky in my hair. Also, I have a TWA so I can't speak on twist-outs etc. Might be good for those who style their hair... twisting, braiding, etc. Since I spent the money already, I will try using this as a pre-wash treatment and only leave on for 2 minutes, then use the Terressentials Hair Wash and see how that goes. Last thoughts: I HAVE been using organic and simple all-natural ingredients in my hair since spring of '12, so that may be why my experience is so negative. For those who are not restrictive about what ingredients they use on their hair, take my review with a grain of salt. I will try other My Honey Child products, but only those without emulsifiers, etc.

I use this on my hair as a deep conditioner. I throw it under a shower cap while I shower and rinse out right before I'm done! Makes my curls so soft and bouncy! I am absolutely in love with the smell! Very sugary, I get compliments whenever people get close enough to my hair :D Will definitely be purchasing again when my jar runs out!

i really liked this product as a deep conditioner. My hair was very shiny and moisturized after leaving this on for 45 mins and i was able to detangle with it as well. the price is nice and will probably repurchase. i also have the olive you deep conditioner, curl junkie rehab, and the jessicurl weekly deep treatment. i think this is a good one to add to the list.

This is actually my first review ever, so its unfortunate that its going to be a bad one. I ordered this product, with high hopes, after reading all the positive reviews. When the package arrived, I was shocked to see how small the jar was. I normally apply generous amounts of deep conditioner to my hair, so I instantly felt I would run out of this product a lot sooner than I would like. After washing my hair one weekend, I decided to try it. Right away, I noticed how thin the consistency was. For a product claiming theat one of its primary ingredients is shea butter, I felt wary. Another thing I noticed was the smell. Granted, the smell was a very nice one. However, it smelled very artificial and a little too fragrant for such a "natural" product. This was strike two. I applied the product, and left it on overnight hoping that its effectiveness would overshadow its faults. I was wrong. The product did nothing. I have 3c type curls, with slightly kinky roots, and most of the time my curls soak up whatever moisture they can get. This product added nothing, moisture-wise. Overall, the mask was a flop. If there was one positive thing that I absolutely had to say about this, it would be it was a nice, sugary smell. But even then, it was a bit overpowering. I ended up throwing this mask away, after one usage. I didn't feel the need to keep it around.

4a / 4b hair. I've been natural for about...4+ years. I enjoyed this product! It says the more you use it, the better your hair ends up. The first time I did use it, after I applied and washed, it looked like my hair was going to end up being frizzy, so I applied another product. Then, I used it another time and was pleasantly surprised with the end product. To apply, you cover hair and leave on for about ten minutes with a shower cap, then wash out. The product was easy to apply and smells great. After I rinsed, my hair was not a detangled and was still a bit difficult to manage. When my hair dried, it looked great (not much frizz, nice bounce, great looking curls). The product felt slightly heavy, which I do not like. After a day or so, I decided to comb out my hair to straighten it, it was easier to comb through and I didn't lose as much hair. Plus, it was the perfect product for straightening because it was not oily, but my hair still seemed protected. In fact, my hair looks pretty healthy and the shine. I will definitely use this product again!

This is like average. I was looking for a treatment to really nourish my hair. But this isn't it. I thought with the ingredients it would be good but no. It smells great. And it is good to detangle but i have to use alot. I'm glad it's not that pricy. I use this for 10 minutes and i finger detangle. Won't rebuy.

You know how it is when you meet your first love. You feel like you have never felt before. You don't know what you've been doing so long without them. That's how my hair felt after this deep conditioning. My hair is sooo soft and yes the product does smell so good you want to eat it. I have very coarse hair 4 a, b, and c. My hair is so soft, the only problem is I don't have enough.

This is a pretty cool product. I've never used anything with honey in it before. Has a surprising liquid consistency. Idk, when i think "mask" i think "hard", but that's okay. Used this on freshly washed hair (no other conditioner used and/or rinsed out). Damp, it made my hair silky and i could comb through easily. I left it on for about 20-30 minutes (by the time i was done detangling/twisting one side, the other side had already been done for 10 min) Rinsed it out WITH THE TWISTS STILL IN. Rinsed out easily, hair was soft, the ends curled up nicely. My hair liked it. Kinda messy, but the it's price friendly considering how natural it is. Next time i'll try it with heat and see how it goes

Ooh, this smells sooo good, like you could EAT it for dessert. Yum. It feels nice when on. I did a deep treatment and left it on for hours under a cap on a free day. My hair was noticeably shinier and softer. HOwever, I had to wash sooner than usual, as it left quite a bit of residue/coating and weighed down my hair. This may be suited to coarser/heavier hair types that need a bit of weight. For finer hair types..not so sure. I'm a medium to coarse, and while I loved the shine, the smell, the bit of softness, I hated the semi-greasy sort of look I got, so one curl off in the rating for that.

This stuff is fantastic. It really softens my hair nicely. If you need day to day moisturizing POW though, try MHC sweet almond hair milk. If that's too much, then this is probably the next best thing--- though I haven't tried everything. Her website has so many goodies and wholesome stuff on there that it's hard to choose. It's all very good though!
