Not sure this worked for my fine 3b curls when used as directed, but in the warm northeast weather it's a great 2nd-day product for me. A tiny drop smoothes frizz and keeps me from getting triangle hair. And I love the smell! Glad I gave it another shot; I think it may just be a summertime product for me.

I am on the fence about this product. Sometimes it seems helpful and other times, not. I am not sure if it as to do with how much I use or with other products that I work with or combination of both. Either way it's something to work out and for the price I am considering moving on to something else. I can say that it feels very silky and my hands feel great after using the product.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!. I'M ROCKING A TWA AND THIS PRODUCT MAKES MY FINGER TWISTS LOOK ON POINT. THIS WAS MY FIRST CURL JUNKIE PURCHASE AND NOW I SEE WHY SO MANY PEOPLE RAVE ABOUT IT ;)

I purchased this product 3 years ago from CurlMart to replace my scarce staple Shea Moisture Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner (original formula in the white bottle). The idea of using a combined conditioner/styling product for twists, braids & set styles appealed to me. This product smells like banana bubble gum. The texture is a cross between chewed gum & pulled taffy; not creamy. Unfortunately this did not work as expected for me. I live in a humid climate & have natural, low porosity, dense, medium-coarse 4B strands. I smoothed it in sections on clean (naked), wet hair before twisting or rolling. The product did not have enough slip for me. It caused my strands to clump/weave among itself, causing tangles. My hair did not absorb the product. The crown/exposed layer would have some hold, but the rest would revert. There is too much of a learning curve for me. Heavy product application gives me sticky strands. Light application gives me tangled hair.

AWFUL! First of all the smell is DISGUSTING. It smells so sickly sweet that it resembles a candy flavored cough syrup. The consistency is decent but as soon as I applied it to my hair I knew I would not like it. When it dried: frizzy, fluffy, undefined, almost dry-feeling curls. Doesn't even provide any moisture. Curl Junkie's Argan & Olive Oil Daily Conditioner works WAAAY better as a leave-in AND styler. Wish I had stuck with that instead. Smh.

When not used with a butter, oil, or aloe vera product it will make little white flakes. It IS however perfect for braidouts, twistouts, and it is WONDERFUL for my detangling on wash day. I very rarely style without reaching for my honey butta!! I am on my second container, and each time the products looks a little different, which i attribute to the natural variations in the ingredients but is the same great quality product. The smell is a sweet banana bubblegum, and the texture is honestly like smashed bananas and aloe lol. I would definitely recommend it !!!

Im in love with Curl Junkie Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta Leave-In Conditioner!!!! It is thick and creamy very moisturizing; and it doesn't weigh my hair down. It smells delicious!!! ; ) I have about an inch to an inch and a half left to transistion..so I am not fully natural. But I love this stuff. I use it on 2 strand twist out. I did notice that it was not as moisturizing for me as it was in the summer months. As the weather changed I noticed I needed more moisture in addition to the CJ HBHB leave in. I still give it 5 starts though!

I have yet to try this product, but was disappointed with the consistency. This product was described as creamy, and that is what I was expecting. When I opened the package the product is more like a custard and yellow in color, not even a butter consistency either. You can't contact anyone in curlmart or curl junkie to express you opinions or concerns. I would like a refund because the in not how it was described.

I really like this product. The smell is addictive. I use it as a leave in for my wash n go's under Curls In A Bottle. Please note that I don't use it generously with my wash n go's. I use just enough to coat my hair section by section. I love the look of my section and third day hair when I use these products. It's a little pricey therefore I couldn't give it five stars.

This has become one of my staple products. I have a mixed texture of 3b/c and a little 4a and this product moisturizes all of my textures and plays nice with other products. Leaves my hair very soft and bouncy.

I must say that I really (emphasis on really) loved the smell of this product. It smells slightly sweet and reminds me of a banana smoothie. It is good for my hair (type 4a) in holding a curly style and adding moisture. I use this product in conjunction with the Curl Rehab Moisturizing Hair Treatment and it does well with my styles (rod setting and two-strand twist outs). I will say that even with the Curl Rehab Moisturizing Hair Treatment and the Honey Butta that my hair (both permed and natural textures) may prefer a deeper moisturizer. This is a good product that I have tried so far.

This stuff is great, very moisturizing, smells delish, and really makes my hair silky. I like that it is heavier than most leave ins I have tried, and that a little goes a long way. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 curls is because I have not really tried enough leave ins to compare it to.

I love this stuff! I have a twa, just bc'd on 01/17/12 and it really helps define my little curls; gives them the clumping effect so they look like the tiny version of sista curls. It is so cute. I used this after washing with CJ cleansing conditioner and they both work wonderfully!

This is the only Curl Junkie product I don't care for, all her other products work great for me. I purchased this product to provide moisture to my curls, which it did. However, every time I used it my scalp itched like crazy! I tried to deal with it because I love the way the butta smells but no matter how much I put in my hair, by the end of the my scalp felt like ants were crawling on it. What really made me decide to stop using the product was the amount of buildup I started getting. After a month of using I noticed my hair felt really plastic and strange to the touch. When I scratched my scalp my hands would come away coated in product! So I gave up and gave this to my sister. She loved it though. I wish this product had worked for me because it smelled so yummy and it did seem to provide moisture at first, but I just couldn't get over the side effects. Anyways, I have tons of other CJ products that I LOVE so it's not big deal.

I LOVE this stuff! Smells fantastic (bananas) and it works even better! Use it daily as a LI under my CIAB. Leaves hair super soft, no frizz, perfectly shape spirals for my 3A/3B/3C curls. Did I mention, I love this product??!! Part of my HG, now. CJ is really a class act! Great products for all curls. Happy currrlygurrly, with all the CJ products.

My HG! I use this over curl junkies coffee coco creme. I apply both in the shower and finger comb through, then skip-curled a few pieces. It increases the curliness, definition, shine and volume with no crunch! If your hair is like mine (very fine, color-damaged, 3b/c curls) and you live in a dry cold place like me give these two a try! The best part? This combo gives me great second day hair! (I never have second day hair!)

I have 3c/4a curls. DO NOT mix this product with any other product. It leaves product build up so you will see white wet junk. I tried applying by itself, it leaves your hair dry and poofy. Not good for wash and gos. ITS GOOD FOR TWIST OUTS!!! But i dont like doing twist outs and was hoping this product would be good for a wash and go.

This LI left little white pieces in my hair, it can't be mixed w/ any other product b/c it'll react & it's too heavy as a LI for my hair. I usually like to use heavy products b/c my hair is thick, but not this time. I gave it 2 curls b/c the smell was okay. (However, the Curl Junkie H&B Deep Fix is the best DC I have ever used..interesting)

I purchased this thinking that it would be great for my hair and help to give my curls definition; however, that didn't happen, it was just hard and dry. It recommends using it on twist outs so I guess I will try that next, for the price I need to try and figure out something to do with it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it smells wonderful. I really wanted to like this leave-in too :(

One of my favorite leave-ins...so moisturizing. It works equally well on the kinkier and looser curls on my head and mixes well with my gelly stying products. Kills frizz but leaves bounce!

Hair Type: 3b I really like this product. I got a sample of it and the first thing i noticed when I opened it was how awesome it smelled kinda like tea with honey. I used it on its own and got more curl definition than with other leave-ins i've used. Later i used it under my normal gel and I got amazing cur definition and very nice second day curls. It only gets 4 curls because i'm looking for a more all in one product.

A rich LI/styler that's good for protective styling as well as a wash n go under CIAB or a med to harder hold gel. The richness may make this more appropriate for colder vs. warmer climates.

This stuff is great! Smells yummy. No only does it work great under other Curl Junkie products, but also works great under ANY other brand of curly pudding, gel and butter.

I really like this product. I think depending on the look you're going for and the type of hold you want, this works well. I noticed others mentioning the stickiness and heaviness and this is heavy, but I haven't experienced any stickiness or flaking. I've used this for two strands twists and wash n go's. This product is definitely my second fav styling product next to KCCC.

This is my holy grail product. I get huge shine,incredible definition, and great moisture. I use it along with a light gel for days and days of great kinks and curls.

I used this as a leave-in and then plopped. My hair was almost totally unshrunken and smooth, even after plopping. Definitely a product for tighter curls. I like it.

Really liked this. Is quite thick and rich. I was surprised that it didn't weigh my hair down. I suspect it will be a winter only conditioner for me though. Fine haired curlies would likely find this one too heavy. No frizz after I used it. Hair felt great. Smells really nice as well.

This product started out great. Smooth, creamy texture. Nice cake batter scent. Provided a lot of moisture, shine and was the perfect weight for my hair when applied to wet hair. Not too heavy as w/ other butta/creams. The results were different once my hair air-dried. The moisture didn't last and after a week of use my hair felt very producty. Beware of the wax!

A little heavy for my 3b curls. It's meant for coarser, kinkier curls. But it's very rich and moisturizing.

Left my 4b/4a hair soft and moist. Provided good definition when applied to wet hair. Be careful not to use too much or it will coat the hair and flake off!

I felt really hesistant about this leave-in because of the beeswax so I only applied it to a single curl that was a little flyaway. However, it became very suffocated-frizzy (unlike the surrounding curls) and enlongated until it was barely wavy as if the humidity couldn't reach it to boost my curl or because it was too heavy--hard to tell which was the reason.

I love the moisturizing properties of this, but it is definitely too heavy for my hair. I bet it would be awesome on 3C-4B hair though.
