This product was disappointing for my hair after all the hype of the infomercials. The product is super-expensive and the ingredients aren't spectacular and the performance is average/below average. The fig scent is not desirable to me-no offense it reminds me of old lady perfume/old people's house (I have grandma's, too). You have to use lots of the product to get it to do anything and I am heavy-handed when it comes to products because my hair is very thick, dense, and tightly curly-so if I am complaining that you have to use a lot than there's an issue here. Keep in mind, I don't do well with cowashes/cleansing conditioners. I need a gentle shampoo like Blended Beauty Soy cream shampoo (5 stars, same price, more product, better smell, better ingredients) to get my hair clean.

I was disappointed in this product's performance when I tried it the 1st time, 2nd time, etc. I am only using it to finish it and will not repurchase. This product is definitely overpriced for the amount you get, the market competition (lots of similar products either with better results and/or prices). I DO NOT care about the price$ of hair products high or low; however, the ingredients and performance need to be on point. ***KEEP IN MIND I need a true mild cleanser/ gentle shampoo (e.g. Elucense moisturizing shampoo, blended beauty soy cream gentle shampoo versus cleansing conditioners (e.g. Wen, ASIAM coconut cowash, or Curls cream cleanser, V05 conditioners). I heavily apply styling product to my tightly curly, dense 4a/4b hair to get 4-6 days out of a style. Alternatively, I will try to use this product as a conditioner or leave-in conditioner as they suggest in the infomercials.

I only bought this because I was new to the natural life and just watching the commericials I felt that my hair would instantly spring into super soft oingy boingy curls. UHHHHH...NO! It is a really good cleanser but for us Type 4C's cleasning everyday isn't what we need. I had to glob my hair with oil and my hair was dry by day 2. Way too expensive and not worth the buy.

A definite staple product. My hair and scalp get clean and my hair has great slip. I usually do not leave any of this product in my hair in the summer, but in the cooler months I use just a dab for my entire mane. Other than that step, I follow the instructions completely. This product can go fast if you have a lot of hair or long hair. This Wen formula is for Black curly hair. If you have tried other formulas and they did not work, try this one.

I developed a problem after being CG/modifed CG for such a long time. The problem manifested as a delusion that my hair is no longer the hair that drove me nuts for 40+ years. I thought I could try products, and if I didn't like them, move on, without consequence. Oh well. As a cleanser, this is truly very nice. The slip is incredible and its ability to detangle my hair is unmatched. I like the fresh smell and the rich texture. I really like how soft this leaves my hair. However, unlike Hair One Argan Oil, this does not make my hair spring into life, and it's actually dangerous to my hair as a leave-in. I was in the middle of writing a paper, and not thinking clearly, apparently, when I decided my stationary position would be conducive to a DT. I'd read absolute raves about how wonderful Wen is for DT and even overnight treatments, so I gave it a go. I was left with hair that I'd practically forgotten could grow from my head. Ever have that feeling that your hair is actually made of slimy nylon string? When your hair squeaks when you move and breathe at the same time? When it looks more like a 1970s shag carpet that's never been cleaned than human hair? It's protein overload, and this stuff has some potent protein. Overall I think this is a high quality product, and I like many things about it. Unfortunately (or fortunately, if one considers the price tag), the Fig formula is not for my hair.

I think my hair is 4a with sprinkles of 4b. This product cut my detangling time in half! However, I didn't really feel that my scalp was clean. I noticed that it has many of the same ingredients as my regular conditioner (Jane Carter's Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner), so I decided to try it in the place of Wen. I noticed no difference and you get twice the amount of JC for the same price. If it was only marketed as a detangler, I'd give it 5 stars -- but the lack of cleaning knocks it down to a 3.

A Must Try!! Though moderately expensive, this product is well worth the investment. I first started using this while relaxed...I loved it then. Once I started to transition, I decided to repurchase (I'm a product junkie so I had moved on to something else), and I'm so glad that I did. It helped me tremendously with detangling and it provided my hair with sufficient moisture. It has a bit of a learning curve to it if you're not used to cleansing conditioners. Using too little will result in hair that is tacky feeling and kind of gross, but when you figure out the proper amounts to use, its a hair dream in a bottle.

Has made my hair so much better. I have dyed my hair a million times and just absolutely wrecked it. I'm a cheerleader and my coach is insane about hair.. For a competition it's as if someone has literally glued our hair down to our heads.. But after I use wen you can't even tell and I don't even have to brush it out. It's a great detangler, if you leave it on after you initially rinse your hair, while you shave, wash, etc. and when you're done with that, rinse and it's all smooth and perfect!

I have very dry hair. This product did cleanse without stripping. I still have to use a rinse out conditioner and a leave-in. If I can't find a better moisturizing cleansing conditioner, I will purchase again.

A friend gave me this to try because she didn't like the way it worked on her hair. I surprisingly love it. I've used it once- twice a week for the last few months and even paid the price to buy another bottle. It does a great job of cleaning without drying out. For the first time my curls seemed really defined when I step out of the shower with out adding a lot of other products (of course I do though). It is expensive, but worth the buy. I still use another cleaner once a month to really get rid of build up. This one doesn't do that so well over a long time. But a great product.

I first saw this product on an infomercial. Typically, products on infomercials do not perform very well. Even though the commercial claims to work on every hair, I still thought it was a load of bull. However, I brought it anyway. First, I was completely wrong about WEN. It does work on African-American textured hair. I use this product as a co-wash and conditioner. It is great to detangle hair too. Unfortunately, WEN is costly. If you have thick and/or coarse hair, you may have to use more than suggested.

I use this product daily as a leave-in conditioner and every other day as a co-wash. My hair loves it! One thing I'd like to add, smells are peculiar to individuals. Many users complain about the pungent smell of the Fig. I barely notice the smell at all, and when I do notice it, it's mildly pleasant.

WAY too expensive... especially for the amount you are supposed to use. I went through my bottle in 12 days (using every other, or every three days). Loved it, but it's really just a plain old (good)conditioner IMO.

This cleanser works on my 3c and 4a hair. I find it is an excellent detangler. It can be expensive. A trick I learned is to add water the the bottle. It does not dilute the product and it still works. I like the Sweet Almond Mint the best. The lavender dried out my scalp.

Extremely pleasant to use and effective as a cleansing conditioner. I haven't noticed the menthol smell. Because of the price, I'm reserving this as a leave-in conditioner for now. I don't use as many pumps as suggested by the manufacturer.

i hate that in your personal profile, you can only select ONE texture. WE ARE ALL MUTTS accept it or not! it's true! actually...i have several textures...3b,3c & 4a! i LOVE wen fig for my different textures. it moisturizes and makes the combout much, much easier. i also use the oil which is an added plus and i just ordered the styling creme. i will NEVER be without this product line for it has saved my hair!

This is one of my favorite Wen cleansing conditioner. I have to say that it left my hair fuller, but not as moisturized as the Almond Mint. I use all the Wen Cleansing Conditioners the same...as a shampoo/conditioner and as a leave-in. I even use it to refresh the hair prior to my weekly hair cleansing.

Ugh! I hated this product! I kept trying it, hoping that it would work for me because I really liked the concept. It made my hair feel dry and it was totally frizzy with no curl definition. I am now using Wen as shaving cream and it's working well. I don't really care for the menthol scent either.

Hi All, I'm a 3c and this product really worked out well. I have fine soft hair that gets dried out easily when I use shampoos like Redken and Pantene. It makes my hair turn rough. I noticed the difference in my hair after I started to finger rinse the conditioner. I could feel the wave/curl separation like I never felt before. It was always easy to comb through my hair with water running over it but it was 10xs smoother after the rinse. I used it as a leave-in conditioner too and added 2-3 drops of my own oil but I really dont think I needed to to dillute it. It moisturized wonderfully and even caused curl separation and definition before I put my gel through my hair. This was a good buy.

This product really works for me. There seems to be some issue, for some, with the fragrance, but I really like it and I notice the menthol most when I clarify, once a week. It's great to have an all-in-one product. I use it to cleanse and condition my hair.

Might as well just use any old conditioner. It did nothing 'cleansing' wise for me. It also left a bit of a flaky build up. I like the smell and the bottle is really cool, but other than that don't waste your money...

The first time I used it, it seemed okay--not great, but okay. To be fair it used it for a while--thinking the magic may occur over time. Instead it seemed to dry out my hair and rough it up. No curls, just poof. Bad results and a kind of cherry cough-drop smell--not for me.

I've been using WEN products for about six weeks now and this is one of the best products I have ever used. My 3b hair is finally soft w/o frizz. I use the fig cc in the shower as directed and again as a leave in mixed with 2-3 drops of fig oil, follwed with WEN styling products. I'ved tried DevaCurl, Ojion, PhotoSpecifics, Rene Furterer and other pricey brands but I'm finally ready to clean out my cabinets full of stored hair products. This is the best!

But for the menthol and the 'cone I would give this product 4 stars. It's the only cleansing/conditioner that I can use in one cleansing, conditioning, detangling cycle. It's a treat for my hair. Love using it.

The only good thing for me with this product was that I liked the fragrance of this Wen Cleansing Conditioner the best of all four of them. It didn't curl boost at all, and my waves were stringier than I prefer. I also had pretty intense frizz (which is common with stringier definition for me). Overall, it looked fairly messy, especially from chin length down. I don't think my hair likes being roughed up with the menthol in these cleansing conditioners. My rosacea also flared up the day I used it.
