This is NOT for loose curly heads. Moisture Block is a very, VERY thick silicone serum and it does exactly what it says... blocks out moisture. I cannot use this when I wear my hair curly (to heavy/greasy), but when I want to blow my hair out straight, it's simply amazing! I had bangs a while back and I would smooth some of this on to them and then smooth them with my HAI iron. They would stay straight all day... even in the dead hot months of summer.
It took some practice to figure out how much to use. Too much made my hair greasy. But when I used the right amount, it really gave me good definition and great frizz control.
This is a non-water soluable (it won't come out unless you shampoo it out; water alone won't take it off) styler that protects your hair from humidity. I've had great success with it. I've tested it against some pretty awful Texas days and my hair has held up, not frizzed. You sort of crunch it in to your hair rather than stroke it in, as you do with most products. It can be a bit greasy looking, so just use a LITTLE BIT.
I was very generous with applying this product to damp hair. It really kept my hair detangled and was very easy to smooth through. My hair looks very shiny and I did not get the greasy feeling Michelle experienced. Frizz free curls. However the product claims of lengthening curls did not happen for me at all. If you're looking for a thicker cone-based serum, it is definitely worth a try. 4 curls
