This gel did nothing for my curls' definition nor encouragement and gave me fluffiness that turned into more producty frizz later. Not for my looser curls/waves that need the extra umph of encouragement to form and hold.

I really like the definition this gel provides. My hair is a mixture of medium/coarse texture, with high porosity, normal elasticity, and high density (very thick). This gel seems to calm my hair down, and the ingredients don't seem to be drying or cause problems with repeated use. It's also organic with lots of natural ingredients, and free of silicones, parabens, sulfates, and glycerin, and I like the natural "plant" fragrance. For 2nd day hair, the gel refreshes well if you spritz it with a spray bottle filled with water.

Just the right amount of hold, but never crunchy. Nice packaging and it smells really fresh and clean. Goes good with the MGA pomade.

I *heart* the MGA shampoo and conditioner, but the Styling Gel was just -- eh. With so many other choices out there, i'd never really choose this.

It is a good product. Gives curls definition but your curls do not get as much definition and volume. And by the end of the day you hair looks limply.

I used this as a leave-in under a mousse. It controlled the frizz but did not activate or define my curls. That is why I had to put mousse over it. It does not offer any qualities of a good gel for curls.

There are two MGA gels: Sculpting Gel and Styling Gel. The sculpting gel was my favourite gel all fall and winter; it doesn't work very well in the humidity though. If it was better in humidity, it would have gotten 4 curls. The styling gel is much lighter and doesn't offer the same amount of hold. It was great for 2nd day to use after plopping and before diffusing.

I have 2b to 3b hair. This worked for me with JCRR. I'm trying to decide if I like this or MT Anti-frizz gel better. I get great curls and shine. Beware if you are looking for a hard hold gel; these are not. They leave natural looking curls, no producty feel and any crunch scrunches out easily.

This didn't work for me. A undefined, fluffy mess, unfortunately.
