This is a nice product but I wasn't really crazy about it for my hair type (2c/3a). I liked that you needed such little amounts of the product, a little really does go a long way and its a huge bottle. For me I felt this product made my hair curlier than it naturally is turning it more into a 3b type. It definitely kept a lot of the frizz down, but it enhanced my volume which I personally wasn't too crazy about. I would recommend this product because it delivers exactly what it says it will - intense curls and a ton of hydration! I plan on experimenting with this product a little bit more because I love the moisture it adds but I probably won't be purchasing this again.

I have 3a/b long hair that tends to be dry and turn into poofy fluff without the right products. I LOVE this intense curl cream. It's expensive, but a bottle lasts me about 6 months. Applying it correctly has a bit of a learning curve - I start with the oil first (I recently switched to the Organix version of it since the Moroccanoil is EXPENSIVE, and actually love the Organix version way more). But anyways...oil to the ends of my hair, then 1-2 pumps of the cream. I start applying it about halfway down my hair and then just run the tiniest bit over the crown of my head. It's heavy, so if you apply it directly to the top of your head, you'll look like a wet poodle. Anyways. I always follow-up a curl cream with something for more hold (I use a teeny bit of mousse). I have really thick hair that absorbs a ton of product. If you have thinner, more manageable curls, you could probably skip a hold product. Diffuse it dry, and voila! It makes shiny, silky curls that last for several days. I wash every 3-4 days and this keeps my curls intact. On day 2 or 3, I'll add a small amount of this all over my dry hair to control some poof. Overall, I'd recommend this if you're looking for moisturizing hold, curl definition without crunch, and you need a heavier product (but it's not HEAVY HEAVY). Probably not best for people with thinner hair or finer curls. A word about using the oil treatment: my stylist told me they are supposed to be mixed together and applied. But when I do that, it weighs my hair down and creates the sad poodle look for me. Maybe if you're looking for heavier moisture/control, use it like that. Good luck!

For my hair, I prefer this Intense Curl Cream over the Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream. This cream adds some weight to my curls, so I don't wind up with an unwanted bouffant. It also gives me more corkscrew curls than swirls, so my hair is less fluffy, and has more length. Even though I try to avoid some of the ingredients in this product, I'm giving it the highest rating, because it's really remarkable if you need what it delivers. From my own use, I'm thinking that Curlies wanting to elongate curls and add some weight might like this a lot. This is a very thick cream, and a little goes a long way. On the occasions when I do use this cream, I have to plan way ahead, because its effects last longer when my hair is air-dried. This causes strong curls to form, and it makes my hair feel bouncy and soft. I think one of the oustanding attributes of this product is that it has outstanding ability to control frizz - without additional gel, etc. With this, my curls can hold springy shape for 1st and 2nd day hair. Because it's so very moisturizing, it's not great after 2 days. In very hot, dry conditions, this keeps my hair feeling soft and resilient. This contains dimethicone, which is an ingredient I avoid in almost every other product I own. However, there are days when "glycerin" is more problematic for me than 'cones, and it's really, really hard to find another moisturizing, frizz-controlling curl cream that doesn't contain glycerin. Overall, this cream seems to protect my hair from environmentally induced dryness. It definitely helps it not to tangle, or feel straw-like and shapeless. The dimethicone is probably responsible for some of the moisturized, weightier feeling this gives my hair. When I wash with a hair cleanser like Kinky Curly, I don't feel any build-up, so I'll use this a day or two before "wash day", just to be on the safe side. Personally, I wouldn't use this every time I do my hair, because I honestly feel like it leaves a coating over my hair. I don't want to risk drying-out my hair too much, plus I live in an arid climate. (In humid climates this coating is probably helpful, if it repels moisture from your hair.) The thing I like the least about this cream is the very, very heavy, perfumey fragrance. If I get the cream too close to my eyes, they get red and itchy. I prefer that the fragrances of my hair products dissipate quickly. This cream is like wearing heavy perfume, for me, and the scent clings to my hair, even after a cleansing. The fragrance is pretty; very feminine, and floral, but it's highly concentrated, and it really gets cloying. If you're looking for something highly moisturizing that elongates curls and adds some weight, you should definitely give this a try. But if you have sensitivities to fragrance, make sure you sample it, and test it on a small part of your skin before you buy it, just to be on the safe side.

When they say this product is intense, they mean it. I absolutely love this product; it's really moisturizing. The only downfall about this product is that it's a bit greasy if you add too much. This is also best used when your hair is soaking wet or else the curls won't define well. I usually twist my hair with my fingers to also add more definition. But overall it's a great thing that moisturizer and prevents frizz without making it crunchy at all.

It's a great product, but not for my hair type. It was way to heavy, even after I used a little.

I was really skeptical to try this, but I am hooked now! I am on my way to buy more today. It is perfect for my hair, not too heavy and not crunchy at all.

I like it. Experimented with it for 2 months and realized can't use too much because it will make my hair too greasy which is very hard to do. Also, does build up so I have to shampoo after most 2 days of use. Will try mixing it with water in a spray bottle to see if that makes a difference. Overall, love the way it moisturizes and holds my curls. Also gives good shine.

I like it. Nice curl formation and no crunch. It's a little heavy, though, and hair doesn't hold up great in rain, humidity, wind. Smells good, although I don't care how something smells as long as it works!

Made my dry hair look greasy, which is a very hard thing to do. Created stringy waves. Not impressed. Left a coating on my hair.

Got a lot of volume and stringy curls, more like 1980s mall hair. Zero definition, just individual hairs acting on their own.

I like this one. Good curl formation, no frizz. Probably would build up if one didn't shampoo, but as a styler, I like it.
