I wanted to try this product to see how it worked on my hair. I saw the reviews, but I also heard some people had great results. I washed my hair and applied this product liberally. My curls didn't shrink up as much and i thought this would have some promise. It took a long time for my hair to dry and when it did, I felt like my hair was very dry. I immediately wanted to put something else on my hair to give it moisture. I would have rather put shea butter on my hair and used a blow dryer to loosen my hair. I was hoping for more moisture, but I didn't get it. I'm glad I found out for myself. This product is not for my 4b hair.

I bought this after seeing so much hype about the Hair Rules products. They had a two for one sale. This is one of the worst products I've used. It left white flakes on my hair and left if very hard. I have to wash it out the same night.

This is some of the best stuff that I have ever used on my head. I bought it a while ago and tried it once and didnt like it, main reason was I wasn't using it right. With products like this I have learned that the best thing to do is follow the instructions to the T. The label says to put it in your hair while your hair is soaking wet in the showet, SO VERY TRUE. So tonight I did just that. I put it all through my head and i mean ALL THROUGH MY HEAD. It is very thick but it smells great so run your fingers through your hair with it. I got out the shower and checked the mirror, so far it was just OKAY. I spritzed a little bit more water on my hair and i just kept finger combing it OVER and OVER for about two minutes. Than i did this thing where I shake my head all over like a dog trying to get wet. Side to side I shook and front and back I shook. And there they were! My beautiful curls! THey fell so nice and so full all over my head. It moisturizes your hair and adds curls and KEEPS the curl. I went to sleep and woke up and all I had to do was add a few spritzs of water and scrunch my hair and I was good to go! I love this product and I would recommend it to 3C/4A people. I have that weird inbetween texture. I am as thick as a 4A but as curly as a 3C and it is HARD i mean HARD to find products that work, especially with my weird curls. THIS IS THE PRODUCT TO USE. I LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I LOVE CURLING CUSTARD. And that is the curly girl hair crack. This product should be next on the list as well. LOVE IT.

i am type 4a. i tried this product several times to see if my hair would adapt to it. it didn't. it does dry out your hair. the hydrating cream is not nearly enough moisture. This product is not for us type 4a girls(beware) i suggest miss jessie's curly pudding.

Listen all type 4 curlies! I have used this product for a while and tried it using many different application techniques and methods. This worked well when my hair was texturized. However, this does very little for my natural 4a/4b hair. It may define your curls a little but it really DRIES out your hair. No matter what i did and how i did it, I always ended up with dry hair and bad split ends. Forget using this with a blow-dryer! You would only be asking for some serious hair trouble. If you want GREAT curl definition without the gooey-ness, irritation and dryness, use Fantasia IC gel formula for dry hair. It is by far the best curl definer for our hair. Don't forget to use a leave-in conditioner of some sort before applying Fantasia IC gel. (I use Kinky-Curly Knot Today)

I was disappointed in this product... I wouldn't be so much if they didn't show 4b girls on the website using there product and ending up with curls... Long story short, it defines a little bit, but does absolutely nothing for shrinkage. It would be ok if they didn't claim to do all these things. And then there's the mineral oil and other chemicals. I hate that I got dooped into buying this. I should have listened to the other reviews.

I actually got my money back from this company after discovering the HORRIBLE ingredients! They put MINERAL OIL and PETROLETUM in their products and have the nerve to say they're good products? Don't waste your money or risk hair damaged by using this line. The 4a model on their website has a chemical texturizer too. Those are not her natural curls. I was very disapointed, and won't buy this line again ever.

I have 4a/3c . I did not give it 1 curl because there are other product that are worse. Basically there is a reason you need to use the Hydrating finishing cream. The KCCream leave your hair dry. Your hair does feel light and it does smell fresh, but I can get the same result or better from a leave in conditioner. Plus this product does not mix well with other product. I used to different leave in conditioners and got the same yucky looking results..

I wouldn't recommend it. This product made my hair dry and it left a residue on my hair. It was nothing like the little ad on the website. I get better curl condition from pre-pooing with olive oil, and using Fantasia IC leave-in conditioner.

Don't use this. The second ingredient is mineral oil which can be just as bad as using sodium laural sulfate. Besides, it doesn't work well when used with other products.

This product line seems to be getting a lot of buzz lately. I was very disappointed. The moisture didn't last through the day and it made my hair very dry. I even added more moisture in the form of pomades, and although slightly improved, my hair was still dry. Wouldn't recommend it.
