I LOVE this!!! It transforms my 2b hair into 2c hair, consistantly this winter. I will continue to use into the next season hoping that this will become my go-to product. My hair is fine and shoulder length. On cowash days, I use 5 drops rose oil (no matter what products I use) on my length and ends, use a nickle or 2 dollop od Curly Whip scrunched into my length then finger combed and scrunched again, place duck bill clip around my crown and ir dry. It leaves me with wonderfully defined curls and spirals without anything more than the above. On no wetting days, I dampen my hands, put a nickle dollop onto one palm and emulsify with the other and scrunch into my length, again achieveing the curls. Both ways, my hair is SOFT, smells fresh, and looks healthy. A bit pricy, but I'm loving it so far in the Ohio cold and dry January and February.

This seems to be working really well for my 2a - 2c wavies and curlies. I have super fine hair so I skip the conditioner and just use this--as recommended for waves on the Hair Rules labels. Another perk is that although I'm allergic just about everything (wheat, soy, dairy products, etc.) this one hasn't given me the itchy-burny scalp that many other products have. I'm mixing it 50/50 with Biosilk Rock Hard Gel and getting some fun curls in the 2c portions of my hair. Touchable springy curls. Second day hair is also happening. Score!

I have 4a hair texture which is coily. I had been searching for a product to define my curls and eliminate frizz for almost one year, ever since I stopped straightening. I absolutely love Hair Rules curly whip! The Curly Whip elongated my curls, especially when used with the right technique. I first experienced the product at the Hair Rules salon in NY, where I was shown how to apply the product. You have to apply Curly Whip on soaking wet hair, finger comb while slightly squeezing the hair between your fingers, and then saturate hair with water again, then shake. Diffuse or sit under a hair dryer for 15 mins until mostly dry. Then use a blow dryer with a concentrator to stretch the curls. The key to preventing frizz is not to touch your hair until it is mostly dry. I have received dozens of compliments over the past couple weeks since I've started using hair rules. I am extremely happy with the products. I apply Curly Whip after using Hair Rules' Conditioning Cleanser and Quench Conditioner.

It definitely defined my curls but was a little heavy so they didn't bounce back like they used to. I have been using the rest of the hair rules line, but I just use a different finisher.

I just used this today for my 3a curls. It worked very well, but left the canopy, and the back of my head frizzy. You must use this when your hair is sopping wet, and use a lot of it.

I loved the cleansing creme and quench conditioner, but the Curly Whip didn't do anything for my curls. My curls were soft but undefined and super frizzy. I tried to air dry and diffuse which were both a disaster. I ended up having to redo my hair midday.

I love the ultra rich conditioner and the other product for kinky hair. This product however, was horrible. I have 3b/3c hair so I decided to give this one a try since my hair is not kinky-kinky. But my hair likes moisture rich products. This product felt like I was putting water in my hair and it left my hair feeling like straw. Not to mention the FRIZZ!!!

My curls with this product were probably the best I have ever had, but the frizz mid-day was ridiculous. This product definitely needs to be used with something else, a leave in or something. More than likely I will not purchase again, too expensive for mediocre results.

Not a bad product. My hair was soft but my curls were very frizzy. I will have to pair this with another styler or just use it as a leave-in. I will not repurchase.

Just tried this product today. My curls were soft and defined but a little frizzy at the roots and crown of head. I realized after application that I did not follow the direction as I applied after drying hair with a towel. Next time I use it I hope to get less frizz. If you are going to try this product please apply when soaking wet to get the best results.

I really, really like this product! This dried firm but not at all crunchy and it left my hair soft with lots of movement. It is the easiest product I have ever used and the only styling product that I have ever had success with alone. I usually smooth gel over my canopy and along my edges to control frizz and use a leave in under my styling aids but I didn't have to do that with this. I literally just used this. It took me about a minute to apply in shower and about ten minutes to diffuse to 80% dry. I would have given it 5 stars but you have to use a lot of it and with my long thick hair I could easily go through a bottle of this stuff a week because I wet my hair twice a week. It doesn't smell that great in the bottle but it has a light floral scent in the hair that is very pleasant.

Great Product! It gives hold and definition without flakes or crunch. I gave 4 curls because it is quite pricey. Make sure you follow the directions for best results. Overall I am very pleased.

After trying this, I understand that my KCCC is magic. With that said, if KCCC wasn't available, I could use this and follow up with a thick gel for similar results. This whip gave me definition but the curls were "lazy" and whispy-- didn't produce a style I'd wear out of the house, certaily not up to par with KCCC results. This product is not very dense, which just doesn't work for me... but their Kinky Curl Cream is too dense and takes longer to apply than KCCC so... I'll stick with KCCC. I imagine it could be awesome for those of you with a finer texture of hair. And I imagine with those with thicker hair than mine, the cream would work really well-- I'd say my hair is medium coarse.

This product is amazing! I used it in the shower right after the conditioner on soaking wet hair and let it air dry. The curl is define, light, and very soft. It will matte when dry so you may want to use a glosser. I use a Bumble product that works great.

To most people, my hair would be catagorized as super kinky, but i tried the curly whip anyway. and i like the amount of hold for my curls. I use more than i use my kinky curly cream.

This product works well in my 4a/b hair. It is supposed to be for looser curl types, but I find that it provides adequate hold and definition for my hair. It does dry a little crunchy, but I don't mind that. Be sure to follow the directions for this product, otherwise it doesn't work!

This works well for me on non-humid days. Gives good curl formation. But not a lot of hold.
