This is the best thing since sliced bread! It doesn't slip as much as I would like, but it certainly gets the job done. It kinda foams a little. The only thing that bothers me is the price. I have a big head...with extra thick hair. This means I have to use a lot more product than others. I've only used it 3x and I'm almost halfway through the bottle! But I also buy it from target. $9.99 for 8 oz. isn't that bad. Can't wait to try the WHOOOLLLLLE line together!!! *best way to use a little: wash hair in medium-braids/twists. Do NOT take them apart unless your hair is long.*

I started using this after a very bad experience with Hair One. So....my curls are still not quite at optimum. However, this cleanser is very moisturizing and does not leave my hair dry at all. It doesn't spread very well and even for my shoulder length hair I have to apply a lot, which stinks because this stuff is expensive. This does clean my hair as well. But I pay careful attention to massage my scalp very well. I wash daily and this seems to be an above average product. Might find something else next time tho because of price.

I was disappointed in the performance of this product on my hair. I love the smell of this product, it smells like a coconut party! It got 2 stars for that alone. This is like a cleansing conditioner and I am learning that I cannot use this light of cleanser from Curls, Wen, Asiam coconut cowash because if you use products heavily to style your hair this will not get the job done. I have tightly curly, dense, 4a/4b hair and I need a gentle shampoo like blended beauty soy cream shampoo or elucense moisturizing shampoo to get my hair clean when I wash every 4-7 days.

Curls Curlicious curls cleansing cream smells fantastic, it is silicone free, paraben free, and is an all around good product. I would not say the Curls product line will be a Staple product line for my natural tresses. I also purchased Coconut Curlada conditioner, Creme Brule, Goddess Curls, and Curls Quencher. I will continue to use and update with any new findings. CURLS Curlicious curls cleansing cream does not sud up which was no problem for me, unless you like the idea of suds, it did not leave a supple or soft feeling to my hair and my hair did not seem moist.

I had a not so good situation arise from some Aussie gel and I HAD to get it out, even though I'd cleansed my hair the night before. I saw this in the mixed hair section of target and gave it a try. Some of these reviews made me wary but tbh, my hair looked really great and shiny after and curled up in really nice ways I hadn't seen it do before. I used very little because I was afraid to dry out my hair washing it again soon and I wondered if it'd be enough to get all that crummy gel out but I was very pleased. Fyi, I followed it up with Kinky Curly gel. It all worked together very nicely.

This cleanser is the worst product I've used since August 1, 2011. There are a couple of CURLS products I really like, and use often, and I've used the Curls Clarifying Shampoo a few times as well. This "creamy" cleanser, however, is absolutely not for my hair. It smells nice - like chocolate with a little coconut. That's why I gave it a curl. It's very thick, but it doesn't spread through hair, at all. It's like putting Nivea in your hair. I kept adding water, but the first time I used this, I used almost half the bottle! As soon as I began rinsing, I knew I was in trouble. My hair was matted, felt like straw, tangled, and there were huge knots all over my head. It took me 45 minutes, plus KCKT, Coconut Curlada, and Hydration Elation to get most of the knots out, with my fingers and my Ouidad comb. I did have a few little knotted balls tear out of my hair. I was afraid my hair was going to break, or I would have to cut out more chunks of it. I guess I didn't believe it could so so bad, so, a week later I tried this shampoo again, just to be fair. Not smart. It was every bit as terrible as I thought, and, once again, the knots and dryness were scary. I thought this would be a "low-poo" type cleanser, but it makes my hair feel like I've washed it with toilet bowl cleaner. One thing I've noticed with CURLS products, in general, is that I need to use a LOT of product, so I use them up really quickly. Even if this shampoo worked for me, I wouldn't repurchase it because the bottle would be empty after about 4 washes. I feel a little bad writing such a negative review, but if you have hair that knots and dries out quickly, you definitely want to try this before you purchase it.

I found this in Target 75% off so I tried it. It smells great and the consistency is good -- if your hair isn't thick. The one at Target is about 6oz and normal price is about $10. I used half of the bottle in about 3-4 washes. It does not lather which is great, but it doesn't spread well either... It feels like hair lotion. (again, my hair is insanely thick) It wasn't anything special, but I have noticed that over time my curl pattern is becoming more defined.(or because it's getting longer and I can finally tell, not really sure) I was excited about the find but I can't say that I am going to purchase it again. It's great for someone, but not me.

This is the only cleansing conditioner I've ever used, so I'm not rating on that. It is soft and moisturizing. Love the scent. I just can't justify buying such a pricey product when I use a conditioner (namely, the equally pricey Coconut Sublime whatever that goes with this) after, that is just the same--feels the same, smells the same, only in a bigger bottle. Won't buy again.

This product is not moisturizing to the hair at all! Instead, it acts like a vacuum sucking all of the moisture out of it instead. Here's another CURLS product that I wish that I could rate a 0!

I'm giving this a 2 simply because of the heavenly, coconut-cake batter smell, but it really didn't do anything for my hair. After washing, my hair felt really dry. I didn't expect for a sulfate-free shampoo to strip my hair the way this one did. Once I applied raw tea tree oil to this, my hair felt softer but the product no longer lathered. Would not buy again.

This is the most gentle shampoo/cleanser I have ever used. It will definitely fool you at first. The first time I used it I didn't think it did anything, but since I had a lot of product build up I shampooed a 2nd time and wow, there it was, clean hair. Gentle enough to use everyday. Terrific shampoo!

After reading the reviews on here for this shampoo, I didn't know what to think - so many mixed reviews. However, after trying it, I can only determine that some of them have this confused with the clarifying shampoo that Curls make (they do look very similar). This shampoo has no suds action because of the no sulfate, and this takes some getting used to, but it's worth it. My hair is 3b and dry, frizzy, and prone to breakage. This shampoo has great slippage, smells divine, and gets rid of any product build-up (I use Knot Today & KCC) and still leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturised. Follow up with Curls Coconut Sublime conditioner and I'm good to go!!

After using it my hair felt stripped but after conditioning it looked really good. The down side is how expensive it is. I had to use more than usual and it is pretty expensive for only 8 oz. I will buy again though.

I bought the CURLS for Target version of this, which is in a different bottle and is about $5 less. I think it's a great shampoo. Because it lacks sulfates, it doesn't strip my hair of it's artificial color. I began using it recently on my daughter's 4a hair in an effort to retain as much moisture as possible, but I haven't yet seen results.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! I used this product to cleanse my hair after having it in a puff for three days that was slicked back with a thick gel. Despite the recommendation to clarify before using the products, I didn't and was pleasantly surprised to have very clean hair when I was done. I did notice my hair being a little dry following the shampoo but that's normal for me, no matter what product I use.

I used the product on my daughters 3c curls and love how it left her scalp build-up free. Also, used it on my 3b curls and enjoyed how it made my scalp feel refreshed. Will continue to use weekly on my daughters hair and will probablly only use on mine every other week or so. Hoping for good lasting results.

This was the second sulfate-free shampoo that I tried. It cleaned my hair very well and gave my curls good definition. My hair didn't feel overly dry or stripped of nutrients afterward which made me happy. However, it didn't lather very well so I used up the product very quickly trying to produce that soapy shampoo feel. Also the scent of cookie dough was a bit overpowering.

Great mid-week non-sulfate shampoo! Very moisturizing and removes most of the buildup with low-lather. Not the best shampoo for clarifying but it will add moisture and get rid of some of the gunk from styling.

I really love this poo. It's gentle and low-lathering but still manages to remove basic stuff from my hair including some water insoluble cones (based on my hair's behavior afterward). Unlike many poos marketed for gentleness, I found this one to be sincerely so.
