Ok, first let me say I was surprised. It's a deep conditioner but it's so light and silky. I thought that it wouldn't work. But, I was wrong. It's great and detangled my hair amazingly.. It smells great and I would definitely buy again.
This is a really good deep conditioner. I like that it absorbs right into my hair and when I rinse it out, it gives me a moisturized squeaky clean feeling. I give this product 3 stars because it doesn't work for all hair types and it's kinda pricey. However I highly recommend it when it's on sale!
I'm sorry this is not worth $18. You can a drug store brand and get better results. I purchased mine when I first went natural and I did absolutley nothing for my hair. I have found better ex, curl junkie curl rehab and jessicurl deep treatment or if they are too expensive you can always try tresseme naturals and add alittle coconut or castrol oil it and bam a deep conditioner.
This stuff does what it's supposed to do, but it's not like I felt a huge difference after I used it. I think that's because my hair is generally healthy to begin with. I like the smell.
My hair is a 4a/4b hybrid with some 4c at my ears Aside from the smell, me and my hair loved this leave in. I enhanced it with a 30 minute dryer session. My hair was super bouncy and very defined even before I used my leave ins. This one's a keeper.
When I first did my big chop I knew that I would have to have a base routine, now I'm not going to stay that routine stuck with me but this deep conditioner did. I ordered this deep conditioner after learning all the benefits that a deep conditioner can provide to your hair. So I looked and searched and I bought this; now to say I didn't expect the product to be so light but when I tell you it was the business...IT WAS THE BUSINESS. I absolutely love this product. I did venture out, but I have to say this is and always will be my staple. Now when it comes to this product you cannot beat the detangling after you let it sit. I have 4a type hair and when I tell you my hands slip through my hair like theirs not a coil in sight. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!
Not too crazy about this one the smell is too strong and it kinda dried my hair out instead of moisturizing it.
The first time I used this I followed the directions. I was not impressed. Last night I added 1 teaspoon of argan oil and 1 teaspoon each of jamaican black and regular castor oil to the 2/3 jar I have left of the conditioner. It was amazingly easy to detangle my old twistout. I put my hair in 6 flat twists and tied it up. When I got up this morning I undid the twists and my hair was wavy, shiny, and, very moisturized. I decided not to wash it out and instead am rocking an amazing flat twistout! I am ordering a new jar today! I would like to see the price come down a bit however.
Have always wondered about this product. But always changed my mind on it b/c of the price! Whew! But my curious mind + reviews from 4b's led me to go ahead and try it. Well, I tried it one time....and I must say, it really conditioned my hair like a deep conditioner is suppose to do! I had been using a far less expensive conditioner and it really wasn't deep conditioning my hair. I guess you get what you pay for! With this product my hair was left moisturized & shiny. It's as if I really didn't need to style my hair after rinsing this out (if that was the look I was going for) b/c is looked so healthy & fluffy. I don't care about softness so much as I do with moisture. Moisture is suppose to give softness anyways. Duh! (for those saying it didn't make their hair soft). My hair felt moist & soft after using this! 4 stars---come down on the price for such a small jar!!
This says Protein Free except Glycine Soja is a protein. I found out the hard way!!!!! Stripped my hair dry, still trying to get it right.
This conditioner is very watery and has a very strong chemical smell. I all most began to rinse it out right then and there and not continue but I gave it a chance. I left the treatment in for 30mins. Upon washing it out I felt my hair dry and was very hard to detangle, no slip. I was extremely unhappy with this product! I had to re-wash my hair twice and use lots of conditioner to get my hair soft and untangled.
I have tried this conditioner and see a 80% difference in texture of my hair. I would definitely recommend My Honey Child for a deep conditioner.
This seemed...just okay. It isn't a holy grail and I will never repurchase but I am glad I tried it since it seemed so well loved in the natural hair community. But looking at the ingredients I could totally make this myself, it really is just the whole olive blended up with some kitchen ingredients you probably already have. Not worth the hype or the $$. It is decent but the smell was overwhelming and unpleasant. I could just find better, cheaper things on land.
This is my second time ordering and it's a KEEPER! Only complaint is the packaging size is too small.
Although this conditioner is light, it left my hair sooo SOFT and my curls were easy to manage. And the fragrance is a nice little bonus. You know, the only down size is the size for the price and this is not available at any local stores. Such as it is , it works, so I will definitely continue to use.
This is my favorite deep conditioner! The bomb.com! When I put this on my hair soaks it up and makes detangling easier. Even after I rinse this out my hair is still soft. I love love love this dc.
This conditioner was not very moisturizing. The consistency and smell made me question whether this wasn't just body lotion masquerading as a deep condish because it smells and feels exactly like Jergens. I have given it a couple of tries and each time it just sits on my hair and under performs. Since I spent $18.00 I will continue to use it to defend my money but I will not be re purchasing this product.
This is a pretty good deep conditioner. The consistency was great, not too crazy about the smell but my hair did feel moisturized and soft after rinsing the product out. It won't replace my staple DC conditioners but I would say if you are still looking for a staple DC I would say give this one a try.
My hair is mostly 4a with a little 3c in the back and my dry, heat damaged hair loves this stuff! My hair is softer than it's ever been. Great slip, great results and the scent is ok.
I dont stay in the States so shipment is very expensive, to be honest really disappointed with this product it left my hair dry it even felt as though it took the moisture that my hair already had. This definitely isn't the right conditioner for my hair and I wont be buying it any more.
I was so excited to try this product after reading all the positive reviews. I'd say my hair is a 3C/4A. My wash and go's last about 3-4 days. I followed the instructions to a tee. I even pulled out my heating cap, sat under it for 30 minutes, let the conditioner sit for another 20 minutes and rinsed my hair with cold water. My hair felt completely stripped. I was really ticked too. I guess this is not the product for my hair.
The smell of it was too strong for me. I usually like smelly products but this product did not do it for me. When the conditioner was first applied my hair felt super soft. But, once I washed it out my hair felt stripped and not soft like it usually does. I will not be repurchasing this product.
This is an all in one treatment for my hair! It's very moisturizing and has great slip even though it has some protein in it. Smells like the original Jergen's cherry-almond lotion.
I love this product it makes my hair feels so moisturized. This conditioner also has wonderful slip and ingredients. After using this deep conditioner I usually follow up with a leave in and the o'honey curl mist and type 4 hair cream to do to two strand twists.
I love this deep conditioner! I sort of strayed away from it, because I tend to prefer thicker conditioners, but I had to come back. It leaves my hair feeling soft and easy to detangle. I also love the fact, even after I wash it out, my hair is still soft and it smells so good! I've tried many many many other DC, but this one stands out as the best DC for my hair.
I used this product today for the firs time and I really like it. It hydrated my hair and left it feeling soft and my curls bouncy. It smells great!
This dc has turned my wet hair into butter. I can detangle it with my fingers, but it also allows my denman to glide through with ease. Not many dc's do that for my hair--due to their thickness. This one is very thin, but don't let it fool you. It penetrates and smooths as well as any thicker dc. Well, enough of my boring review :) Go getya some!
This conditioner was not good for me. Its very thin almost oily so its not creamy and thick or a good detangler
My search for a deep condish is over:). This concoction left my hair soft & shiny & very moisturized from roots to ends.
I have 4c hair. I've used this about 2 - 3 times as a deep conditioner and have liked it. The first time it left my hair feeling "juicy" (as said by someone on YouTube Elenor I believe?). It definitely felt moisturized but not soft. I recently used this again yesterday evening and it definitely still moisturized but not as much as when I used it previously. Not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that previously I've used this after shampooing with Aubrey Organics White Camille which is an excellent moisturizing shampoo (so much so I often wonder if I need to condition afterward), and this time I used it after Elucence moisture balancing conditioner co-wash when my hair was SERIOUSLY parched. In any case I had to mix this with Yes to Cucumbers conditioner to help detangle and add a little more softness. Overall I like the product but will pay closer attention to the combo of products I need to use it with to get the right results.
I LOVE this scent. However for the price at 8oz I couldn't get over the fact that it is soooooo runny! I am very light-handed with thin, fine strands and I've had 3 uses & only have one more. It offered very little slip & my hair did feel a bit moisturised after but nothing special (at all!). I was very excited to use her stuff but this & the shampoo was a huge disappointment.
I really like this DC but it's definitely not a must have product. My hair felt noticeably softer after using it but it didn't have as much slip as I would have liked. I had to add so cheap co-wash conditioner (suave) to my hair when it was time to comb out after sitting for 30min under a hood. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to re-purchase after it runs out but I do recommend it.
I gave it a whirl & it didn't wow me. It may work better with some more honey & extra olive oil. When I rinsed it out, my hair felt about the same as it did before I applied it. I used it after clarifying so I was looking to restore moisture. I don't think it's an awful product, but definitely not for me.
I would give this a 3.5-4. Cons: The Smell. It's really strong so if you have a sensitive stomach, you should plug your nose or something. Pros: Softness. I mixed Curl Junkie Daily Fix Co. w/ Spiral Solutions Protein Treatment into this deep conditioner. It really made my hair feel soft, afterwards. While it was drying, it made my hair feel stringy and dry. Besides that, it felt really nice when dry. I would recommend it to a friend. I wouldn't buy again though. The only reason why I wouldn't buy it again is because I really love Curl Junkie Rehab Moisturizing Treatment. It made my hair feel AMAZING!! Coming from a 3b, 3c, 4a chick. :]
This is the best deep conditoner! I have tried sooo many but no other comes close. Love the smell. It smells like citrus and flowers. Gives good slip, leaves hair soft, silky, and gives nice sheen after just 10 minutes under a dryer for me. Love it!
I was just not impressed with this at all. It came highly recommended from CurlyNikki, but it did not do any wonders for my hair. I am 3c/4a.
I really liked this DC. The texture was nice and left my hair very smooth and made detangling a cinch.
This product did not work at all. I have 4c hair and was hoping it would moisture in my very dry hair. It had the opposite effect and it made my hair dryer. If I could give it a zero rating I would have.
I did a 45 minute deep treatment with cap/heat and this left my hair very moisturized and very soft. I used a LOT. Several finger-graps of it. Coated my hair really well. However, I did't find there was as much slip as I expected on rinsing (so I used a bit of leave-in conditioner). Con: the smell. I found it slightly head-ache inducing and offputting. I really, really didn't like the smell while it was on and hours after rinsing. It's hard to describe why, as when I first whiffed it, I was fine with the smell. It just aged on my head into something that smelled as if there was an undertone of ash or, okay, if you've ever gone away on a trip and come back and smelled your toilet bowl, that smell. Like growth on old water. Weird, I know. I'll finish this jar (it's expensive), but the smell will keep me from reordering. However, it works fine. YOU might LOVE the smell. It might be some weird olfactory thing with me and some of the ingredients.
Awesome moisturizer. I use it once a week for 30min treatment as recommended by CurlySuzy. My hair feels soft and rejuvenated and it has nice soft scent.
