I love DevaCurl but this stuff is disgusting. Starting from the gross feeling you get on your hands when u use it, to the way your hair feels heavy, greasy and unmanageable. Really, this is probably one of the worst products out there!

This left my fine naturally curly hair a matted weighed down mess. It was a disaster and I had to wash my hair after using it. I took this back to the salon and got my money back!

i dislike the price of this for the amount of product you get. that being said, a little goes a long way and it does last a while so that's good. aside from that i REALLY like this shine serum! serums have always been my favorite styling product because my dry curly hair is dyed blonde so it lacks shine naturally. i've been looking for one that is silicone free. i use this on dry hair, 2-3 pumps and my hair is so glossy and smooth and shiny i absolutely love it! it does not build up or look greasy. it does feel sticky in my hands but in my hair it's fine. i'd rebuy but on sale.

I like this product, but only in conjunction with other products. I mix a tiny bit with the Deva curl cream before diffusing, and my 3b hair stands up to subtropical weather beautifully.

3c I like this product, but I can only use very little and not too often. It is expensive, but it lasts. It does make my hair soft, but doesn't get rid of frizz.

I love the AnGel and the One Condition, but unfortunately this isn't anything special. I put a drop in my hands to SOTC, and then sometimes use a bit more to define a few individual unruly strands. It didn't make my hair look or feel greasy, at least, but it didn't add that much shine or definition. My hands felt greasy after using and had to be washed thoroughly, but none of that showed up in my hair. I'll use up the bottle, but when I finish it I'll probably continue the search for the perfect silicone-free serum or pomade. However, I do want to make one comment about the price - yes, $25 for 1.7 oz seems like a lot, but it's not quite as bad if you think of it in terms of cost per use instead of cost per ounce. This product is meant to be used in just a drop at a time, not in giant globs.

My first experience with this product was at the salon after a deva cut. The artist used the gel with the mirror curls and I don't understand because at the salon the product in my hair was fine. I bought this and used the product and it was horrible it was sticky upon applicatons and then dried the hair out. A waste of money.

This stuff is a disaster. I used as directed and it was the grossest, stickiest, most producty-feeling mess ever! I actually had to immediately wash it out because it matted my hair so badly. What could Deva Curl be thinking with this? You have got to be kidding me :(

I tried this yesterday and wow, it really works! I took a small pea sized amount and scrunched it into my dry curls and the shine was incredible! It looks as though I curled my hair with a curling iron, it didn't leave my hair waxy or stringy at all. I may consider buying it, but I'm not sure yet because it is expensive for the size and it's not a messes start item. Still, Deva created another product that my hair loves :)

I bought this the day I went to the DevaChan salon and I nearly fainted when I got hoem and saw how much I paid for it. SO of course I was determined to make it work. I tried it on my dry 2nd day curls and I don't know if my hair was just beyond repair at that point or what. But this did nothing other than give my hair the moisture and shine. Frizz was still there. I'll give it another shot before diffusing and maybe on a braid out, but if I have no luck with that, there's no sense in wasting it with more try outs when I can just use it in my hair when straightened. It definitely feels like it can take place of a pomade to give my hair a little weight when blown out.

Deva has some good products, but this isn't one of them. First of all, I don't like the consistency--it's sticky and heavy. The directions on the label are way off--maybe a couple of drops is all you need (the label recommends at least one full pumps-worth of the product). A shine serum should be very light because it's just a finishing product--it shouldn't feel like I just doused my head with a bowl of honey. I've experimented with quantity but no matter what, after I apply it, my curls always looks limp and greasy, and they don't really feel nice when I run my hands through them. Secondly, it's WAY too expensive for what little it does. It's the same price as their deep conditioner, Heaven In Hair, which is a much more useful product in the longrun.

This is a great "frizz fighter" for our totally humid summers! Keeps them at bay, leaves hair shiny and soft. Use sparingly, a little goes a long way!

What is this stuff??! No matter how I used it (wet, dry, a little, alot) it left my hair crispy, dull, weighed down and frizzy (or some combination of these). And the price...RIDICULOUS. I have given up on every Deva product except ArcAngel. They just don't work well for me.

When I first got this product I was unimpressed and found it left me feeling very producty. However, I just pulled it back out of the cabinet after reading how others use it and now I am happy I did. The biggest trick with this product is to use very very little. Like literally 2 or 3 drops. I now add that amount into my soaking wet hair as a serum, I also add some into my gel. Additionally I smooth a tiny amount on my dry hair to tame frizzies and add some shine. Nice product.

This product rocks for second day hair! A little goes a long way. I rub a pump and a half in my hands and scrunch my hair for curl revival. I did mist my hair with water first. My primary products are Deva Heaven in Hair leave in Coditioner, Curlkeeper and Deva Angel. Used MirrorCurls for the first time today and am going to try for awesome third day hair tomorrow!!

A lot of the "shine" products I've used end up causing frizz so I was skeptical to try this. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely adds shine and cuts frizz on 2nd day hair and a little (1 tiny drop) goes a long way in my thick, long hair. I have to be careful when I use it though because it does weigh my hair down and can make it look to greasy if I use even just a tad too much. I only use it on the ends & lower 1/3 of my dry hair. If I get it too close to the roots I look like I haven't washed my hair in weeks! Considering the tiny amount needed to get good results, it is worth the price.

I've abandoned my product junkie tendencies since finding the right routine. However I needed to go to Ulta for my Deva shampoo and I saw this next to it. A water-soluble serum, and despite the high price tag, I was very intrigued, especially since I have been looking for a solution to second day hair, and besides returns at Ulta are very easy. Now after a couple of tries I'm not sure if I should keep it. Its quick thick, like someone else here mentioned, its really more of a liquid pomade with a surprisingly strong hold. It has a stong smell, which, to me isn't offensive and if used sparingly does dissipate some. I use it on dry or damp hair as a finisher. I rake a tiny dot of it through my dried bangs for hold and definition and for that it works like a dream. It be great for straightened hair with a lot of texture. On my curls, after diffusing, I emulsify about a half pump in my hands and very lightly run them over the canopy, then follow with gently scrunching all over. Here's the run down: The bad: Pricy, must be used very sparingly, if overused hair gets stiff and product-y, does not leave hair soft and does not scrunch out easily The good: does impart shine and definition, great hold for straighed areas like bangs, and its good for creating that piecy look, hold is strong and good for keeping curls from drooping, effective for calming frizz, rinses clean without needing shampoo. Like I said, it will take a few tries before I decide to keep or return it. The deciding factor will be whether it passes the second day hair test.

If I could give it zero curls, I would. I tried many many many different variations in how I used this, and in the end the result was always the same: greasy, product-y, horrid looking hair. Not to mention, charging $25 for 1.7oz. of product is highway robbery. Would not repurchase, do not recommend.

I like MirrorCurls. My stylist uses it as a shine serum/finisher on dry hair. She used (and I use) literally one drop! One drop! Not even close to a pump. I emulsify the one drop in my hands and I use it to scrunch out the crunch, I smooth it on my bangs to keep them straight and flat, and on the canopy to smooth frizz and define clumps and curls.

For this much money I really wanted to like it. I tried using the recommended amount, and then 1 pump in wet hair with ArcAngel and both ways it left my hair feeling icky and dry with not enough shine to make it worthwhile. The first time I used it I could not get it off of my hands all day!

Perfection. I use this on dry hair. Every night I pile my hair on top of my head in a "pineapple." In the morning, I take my hair down and scrunch a dime sized amount of MirrorCurls into the ends of my (long) hair and finish by smoothing my hands lightly over the top of my hair, avoiding the roots. My dry and frizzy hair looks polished, the color pops, and my curls are shiny and full of bounce. Thank you DevaCurl!

I saw this on the shelf at Ulta after reading the reviews here and thought to myself, "ooh, a trial size so I can try it out." No, it really is that small for a whole lot of money. Fortunately, they had one opened as a tester so I figured I would try it out (it would have to be a miracle product for me to spend that kind of money on it). It was very sticky and almost greasy in my hands. I only used one pump and scrunched my curls with it. It really didn't do much for me other than make my hair look like I hadn't washed it in a while. I don't mind the smell of other Deva products (and usually can't smell it after it's in my hair), but this stuff smells horrible and it lingers for a long time. Don't waste your money.

Absolutely love it! Every way I´ve used it was amazing, gave me great definition, a lot of shine -something like a polished reflection - and an extra bang. Smells great, though I can´t feel it after using it, is not sticky and rinses out easily from hand and hair. Oh, and if the locks are tired at the end of the day a nice scrunch with a drop of this brings them back to life! I´d just be careful with using too much, one or two pumps is enough for my really short curls

Tricky Tricky product. I had to use a VERY small amount to get it to work for me. It is kind of like a liquid pomade. Right after I used it I didn't like it. After it absorbed more into my hair it looked better. The smell is nice just be careful with it.

It provides shine, definition and hold but is very tacky to use. Left my hair producty using it both wet and dry, by itself and mixed with Angell. I used the recommended amt. and it was way too much. Just one pump was almost too much for my shoulder length hair. It did not rinse out well. Smells great but not worth the tacky, sticky feel.
