My curls have never looked better! I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I use it in combination with an Epsom salt spray (water, la looks cashmere curls gel, and water) and wow... I get the prettiest waves ever.

A little background...My go to leave-in Fructis Curls & Shine has been discontinued, just like my previous favorite Fructis Soft Curl Cream. It seems they keep discontinuing their curly hair products and replacing them with new ones that are less & less effective. Needless to say I am no longer even considering using Fructis products. That being said - I've been on a frantic search for a good replacement. I have spirally 3a/3b type virgin hair that is mid-back length - even though I haven't used a blow dryer or any other heat styling appliance for 20 years it still tends to be dry. I use moisturizing shampoos but no rinse out conditioners as they tend to weigh my hair down. Generally I put in a leave-in straight out of the shower and let my hair air-dry. Over the past 6 weeks or so I've amassed a staggering array of "curl enhancing" leave-ins in my search. I picked this product up in the hopes it would do the job. Unfortunately it didn't. The scent is pleasant and the price is right. But it just didn't deliver the curls I've come to expect from my leave in. I ended up with some of my regular spirally curls in the shorter hair around my face - but the rest of my head it just seemed to give me waves. It also left my hair feeling kind of dried out. Another product for the discard pile...

This basically does nothing for my hair other than leave it looking & feeling soft & hydrated, with some sheen. But my hair turns fuzzy & dull after a while. I was expecting at least some hold. The clumpage is there, however. So I guess it's not a complete waste of time & money.

Curl Rating: 5 5 Curls: Results were consistently dreamy. Worth repurchasing in large sizes.
Curl Rating: 4 4 Curls: Results were better than most. Would repurchase, just not in bulk.
Curl Rating: 3 3 Curls: Some redeeming qualiities but inconsistent or an incomplete solution. Repurchasing hesitancy.
Curl Rating: 2 2 Curls: Had at least one positive trait, but the negative outweighted the positive(s) without question.
Curl Rating: 1 1 Curl: If I were stuck on a desert island, and this product was the only one available, I'd make my own stuff on the island.
