I can’t lie about it: My hair has spent years hanging out with the wrong crowd. It’s been used and abused, until finally it hit rock bottom. Lucky for me: help is out there. I checked my head into the Christo Hair Rehab Center, and it turned me around! I can’t say enough great things about the Masque. I’m not sure the rest of the trio would have held up as well without it. I didn’t use any styling products after this treatment, and I had well-behaved, voluminous waves. This is no shabby court-ordered, county-run program. This is rehab for the rich and famous. Problem: packaging. The spring-loaded pump was as fragile as Lindsey Lohan on a Vegas binge. I couldn’t get the lid off without the entire assembly falling apart: A real bummer in the shower.

This was an odd product. It's supposed to be used after pooing/conditioning as an "enzymatic masque" to increase shine and manageability. However, my hair was shinier with just the Curlisto Hair Rehab Conditioner without the Masque following it. I had the classic curl encouragement and some piecey-leaning-but-softer definition. The curls loosened during the day as if weighed down until they were more thickly defined waves. Most noteable with this masque was the unusual surface frizz that looked like I had attached velcro to the side of my hair and then lifted, pulling the outer hairs to separate in a magnetic row. It wasn't intense frizz. It bordered moderate at times, but, oddly enough, it calmed later in the day when the curls unwound into soft waves, almost as if the more relaxed style made the surface frizz quell some as well. This product behaved as if it was too heavy for my hair, and while my hair felt soft, it had a certain texture to it that wasn't all together soft, like trouble brewing before a protein or some other kind of overload. Bottom line, for the price, it wasn't worth it to me. I do color my hair, and the day after using this the second time, I cut off a few inches of hair because the ends have looked raggedy, and this product didn't improve that.
