I was skeptical buying a “spray gel” because I didn’t really understand how well it would work. But, it’s decent considering the price. A little heavy and leaves my hair a bit crunchy. It’s hard to spray just a small amount. I guess you get what you pay for.
At the end of the day it really does work! I'm yet to find anything else which works to the same degree and keeps frizz free curls all day. There are some draw backs which I'll let you know but I would stay it's still worth it! 1. makes curls crunchy and if too much is applied can make them look wet. 2. Doesn't last too long 3. Is often rather pricey in certain shops I'd say if you get a fair bit of frizz this is the way forward!
I actually had this under my desk at work as an emergency gel but I never used it until I rediscovered it years later. So last night I experimented with a twist out using this weird spray gel and it surprisingly held up pretty well. For twist outs my ends usually are stubborn curl wise but with this they curled up right away. The hold was pretty strong all day and it was not crunchy after I ran my fingers through my hair. You will definitely need a good hair moisturizer underneath if you have dry hair but other than that this is a keeper.
This gives me great hold without drying me out. Like most gels, it can be a little sticky until it completely dries. It's difficult for me to gauge how much I'm using since it's in a spray form. I tend to over-do it and use too much. My hair is good and crunchy by the time it dries. But it's easy to scrunch out and leaves my curls well formed all day. I think I still prefer traditional gel or homemade FSG, but this is a good alternative.
