So, I really like this product. It has a nice creamy consistency and it left my hair very moisturized. It also has a nice smell. However, it was a tad difficult to evenly distribute on my hair and it was hard to tell if I had added enough as it sort of melted into my head. My hair felt clean and awesome afterwards so I will definitely take the rose with the thorns.

This product left my 3a-3b curls so dry. After washing with it, I could not even get my fingers through my wet hair - thank goodness for Coconut Curl Sublime Conditioner to restore the moisture (and cover up the peculiar smell of the Shea Butter scalp cleanser!)Definitely not for my hair.

My poor curls are getting so dry this winter, between the gas heat and the extra snow in the mid-Atlantic area where I live, I'm trying to shampoo as infrequently as possible (can't quite do the no-poo thing). I bought this cleanser last summer & tried it-of course it was way too rich then, but boy is it the ticket now! Adds much needed moisture to my curls; all I need after is a leavein condish and my regular product routine on a daily basis. I have great frizz free curls everyday.
